Shi Xiu returned to Miss Li's courtyard but did not enter the house. After dismissing all the maidservants, he sat alone in the courtyard, gazing at the fallen flowers with a slight frown.
"What's wrong with Miss?" a small maidservant leaning by the outside window asked.
"Perhaps she's in a bad mood, after all, she's been traded by the master again...." another maidservant answered, but was pinched by her sister before she could finish.
"Shut up, don't spread rumors carelessly, do you want to die?"
The loud-mouthed maidservant immediately fell silent and left the courtyard wall with her sister.
Miss Li's talents were lacking, ranking among the last in her peer group, and now she could only sense Qi. Her family had long given up on nurturing her.
In the eyes of the maidservants, it was clearly not a pleasant thing for the dignified miss to be traded like a commodity by the master.
However, Shi Xiu didn't think much of it, since he wasn't the real miss.
