A bunch of lunatics rushed into the streets in droves, killing anyone in sight, using people as targets for fun, driving onto sidewalks at full speed, and using human blood to lubricate their tires.
Women aged from 8 to 80 were not spared. Even the old hobos with one foot in the grave were made to stand up and get kicked...
All of these were rumors Grace just heard from her companions, causing her to nearly choke on her food.
"Really? A few days ago, I saw their fireworks were quite beautiful, and I got a free meal, thinking they were a bunch of good people."
"What good stuff could corporate dogs offer? Those fireworks weren't for you, and you know how dirty those meals can be. Just processed garbage, probably spiked with drugs."
Her companion spoke convincingly, though she hadn't witnessed it herself.
And even if she said that, the food she was eating now wasn't any cleaner than that stuff, possibly even cheaper.
