Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Ruan Xinxue

"Okay."

Cheng Suqin responded, since the girl was sitting with Qin Yang, she took an extra look at the girl and then busied herself with grilling skewers.

"Are you following me?" Qin Yang's expression turned slightly cold.

"No, no, don't be so serious." The beautiful woman waved her hand with a smile, "Finding someone in Yunshui City is easy for me."

"Investigating me also displeases me."

Upon hearing this, Qin Yang snorted coldly.

He could see the girl had some background but seemed not to have malicious intent towards him, so Qin Yang stopped paying attention to her and continued eating.

Seeing Qin Yang burying himself in his meal, Ruan Xinxue felt for the first time that she was lacking presence; she was still considered a beauty.

"Little doctor, let's get acquainted, I'm Ruan Xinxue, and you are?" Ruan Xinxue gathered her courage, trying to start a conversation.

"You already investigated, right? Why ask?" Qin Yang didn't raise his head, speaking coldly.

Listening to the hint of impatience in Qin Yang's tone.

Ruan Xinxue bit her lip, feeling a bit aggrieved. Usually, so many people flock around her, and she never really cared to look, yet this guy seems to dislike her so much.

"Alright, Qin Yang, I want to tell you something." Ruan Xinxue said.

"Speak."

Qin Yang uttered a word.

"Grandpa checked at the People's Hospital, and his condition is much better than before." Ruan Xinxue narrated.

Qin Yang nodded; this was within his expectations. He was using acupuncture techniques from the Immortal Yuan Continent, far superior to local medical skills.

"Qin Yang, I want to ask you, can Grandpa's illness be completely cured?" Ruan Xinxue's bright eyes held a hint of expectation as she looked at Qin Yang.

Although she knew that with current medical methods it's difficult to cure Grandpa's illness, Qin Yang's presence brought her a flicker of hope. Even if it's slim, she wanted to try.

Qin Yang's eating paused, he nodded, and calmly said two words: "Can cure."

"Really?!"

Ruan Xinxue's face lit up with joy. In her excitement, she directly took Qin Yang's hand with both of her petite, fair hands.

Cheng Suqin was grilling meat skewers while observing Qin Yang and the girl sitting opposite him.

This was the first time she noticed such a pretty girl approaching Qin Yang; as a mother, she couldn't help but become curious.

After grilling two chicken wings and two vegetable skewers, she was about to hand them to the girl, but then she witnessed a shocking scene.

The very pretty girl actually took the initiative to grab her son's hand, looking excited.

What was going on? Could her son be so charming now that girls were chasing him? Thinking this, Cheng Suqin's face showed an incredulous smile.

"Ahem, let go."

Qin Yang noticed his mother standing beside, withdrew his hand from Ruan Xinxue's hands, his palm still lingering with her warm and smooth touch.

Ruan Xinxue also noticed Cheng Suqin standing with a tray of skewers beside, a blush swept across her face.

"Miss, your skewers are ready."

Cheng Suqin placed the tray in front of Ruan Xinxue, then glanced at Qin Yang with amusement before walking away.

"It's not good to let my mom see."

Qin Yang shrugged as he spoke.

"Sorry, I was too excited."

Ruan Xinxue said with a hint of laughter in her eyes.

"I didn't expect you to be quite shy, it doesn't match your poised image, ha ha..."

Hearing this, Qin Yang's face turned grim. Doesn't match my image and temperament? Why not just say it doesn't fit with my rascal demeanor and be done.

"Just joking, Qin Yang, can you treat my Grandpa?" Ruan Xinxue asked sincerely.

Just as Qin Yang was about to speak, he frowned suddenly and looked up, seeing five men wearing black Skull Hall vests walking directly towards their barbecue stand.

These people mostly had tattoos, and the leader was bald with a golden chain hanging around his neck.

They looked like hoodlums, not someone a regular person would want to be around.

Passing by a table of diners, they scared away the patrons, then sat down arrogantly at Qin Yang's barbecue stall.

"Get us fifty liver skewers, fifty lamb skewers, twenty chicken wings, and a dozen beers." The bald leader shouted.

"Please wait a moment."

Seeing the diners leave in a hurry, Cheng Suqin's face changed, smiled, and responded to the bald leader and his companions while quickly turning to grill skewers, not even charging the frightened guests for their meal.

Qin Yang looked up, staring at the bald leader and his group with coldness in his eyes.

From his past memories, Qin Yang knew something about these people; they were local thugs who formed some Skull Hall.

Cheng Suqin knew these people were trouble, carefully grilled their meat and brought it over.

"Come on, guys, eat."

The bald man greeted, grabbing a chicken wing first but spit it out after two bites.

"Bah, what trash barbecue, is it even cooked?"

The bald man threw the chicken wing on the ground, which rolled to Cheng Suqin's feet.

Qin Yang watched these people coldly.

He knew his mother's years of cooking skills well, and it was impossible for the meat to be undercooked; there was only one reason—these guys were here to deliberately cause trouble.

"Then I'll, I'll grill it again for you."

Facing these fierce-looking men, Cheng Suqin was naturally scared.

"Grill again? What is this stuff, even dogs wouldn't eat it."

The bald man showed his yellow teeth, laughed coldly, and dumped a whole platter of chicken wings and skewers onto the ground right in front of Cheng Suqin.

Cheng Suqin's face turned pale, trembling with anger, but she couldn't afford to offend these stout men and had to swallow her anger.

"Mom, leave it to me."

At this moment, a voice sounded from behind Cheng Suqin, and then a figure stood in front of her.

"Yangyang, don't provoke them, mom is fine..."

Seeing it was her son, Cheng Suqin's face showed urgency, and she tried to pull Qin Yang back.

"Mom, can't you tell? These punks are deliberately causing trouble at our stall."

Qin Yang's eyes held a cold gleam as he stared at the bald leader and his gang.

"Tsk tsk, kid, you finally stood up. You're not completely stupid, knowing we're here to stir things up." The bald leader grinned.

"Seems you're looking for trouble."

Qin Yang sneered.

"Dare to insult me, baldy? You're really asking for it."

The bald leader's eyes flashed with murderous intent.

"Kid, today I'll teach you that some people are not to be messed with. You're quite good at slapping people in the face, huh? I'll let you taste what it's like to be slapped today."

As he spoke, the bald man raised his big hand, slapping towards Qin Yang's face.

In his view, dealing with a student brat and hitting him would leave him scared to retaliate.

Seeing the bald man's action, a flash of cold light appeared in Qin Yang's eyes; the steel tips of two skewers between his right fingers pierced with great force into the palm of that big hand.

"Ah!"

Before the bald man's slap fell, a miserable scream echoed.

The sharp steel tips directly pierced through his entire hand.

The needle ends entered the palm, emerging from the back of the hand, causing blood to spray out and drip from the skewers onto the ground.
