In the depths of the jungle.
Number One, also known as Peg, was advancing quickly.
He wasn't going to meet with an informant; he was rapidly fleeing this jungle.
But he couldn't leave yet.
If he went too far, he wouldn't be able to receive the signal.
He hid behind a large tree, opened his tablet, and accessed the surveillance footage.
Before he left, he had specifically installed hidden cameras near the trench to monitor every move at the scene.
As he opened the surveillance feed, Peg's expression immediately changed.
All he could see was the campfire burning vigorously, the flames soaring into the sky, and the night vision camera showing only a fiery red thermal image. He could barely make out a few silhouettes jumping in front of the fire; everything else was too unclear.
"Damn it!" Peg almost wanted to throw the tablet away to vent his inner rage.
"I knew it! Fake! I knew it! Fake!" Peg cursed angrily, kicking the surrounding vegetation in frustration.
