Its sultry pull curled through every note, every beat syncing to the throb in Autumn's chest.
Her face was a breath away from his.
Just one tilt…one slip of restraint…and her lips would be on his…tasting him…And if she did, there would be no turning back… no matter the magic, no matter the masking scent, no matter her power, her strength… her taste would definitely give her away. Kieran would know it's her… no doubt about it.
Kieran's eyes were hooded, dark, searching.
The kind of look that stripped everything…the kind that begged,threatened and dared…all at once.
Her mask…her anger…her resolve…her carefully erected walls…were fast crumbling away.
He looked like a man starving, and she was the feast… Like one lost in the desert and she was the oasis.
Her pulse roared, too loud, too consuming. His breath feathered across her mouth, dragging her closer without even touching.
