The sky was as blue as ever. Under its calm gaze, a group of seagulls casually flapped their wings, passing a stationary ship, smoke rising from it. Upon closer inspection, the ship was in a destructive state—a quarter of its body missing, with burning embers glowing softly within the gaping hole.
Right below the ship's helm were the remnants of what seemed to be a cabin door, blasted open, a female figure lying unconscious on the other side, blood splattered across her chest.
And up above, just behind the helm, was a door untouched by all the destruction. A head slowly emerged through a circular gap in the door, peeking down at the scene below. It was, of course, the ship's captain, Oblitus, who had previously fled after catching a single glimpse of the Demon Lord Robus—leading to where he now was, carefully observing the battlefield.
His eyes were bloodshot—not from the scattered corpses of knights strewn across the deck, but for a completely different reason.
