Chapter 32 - chapter 31: Team RWBY Join The Fun

Tet returned to Remnant—more specifically, he arrived at Beacon Academy.

The sprawling campus stood tall atop a cliffside overlooking Vale, its grand stone towers and sleek modern architecture giving it the look of both a castle and a cutting-edge training ground. Airships soared in the distance, and the symbol of the academy gleamed high above the main hall like a beacon—fittingly.

He walked through the halls, keeping himself cloaked so no one could see him. The wide corridors were filled with students moving between classes, the walls lined with lockers and banners bearing the school's emblem. Tet watched the students attend their lectures and sparring lessons, a constant mix of energy and tension in the air.

As he wandered, he couldn't resist having some fun.

He played pranks on the instructors—particularly Professor Port. When Port wasn't looking, Tet would subtly mess with him: switching the position of his coffee mug or making the chalk squeak extra loud on the board. In Dr. Oobleck's class, Tet would randomly erase or change a single word on the chalkboard mid-lecture, just to see if anyone noticed.

Once classes were over and the halls began to quiet, Tet made his way to the dormitories to find Team RWBY.

He appeared in their shared room, a cozy but lively space filled with mismatched furniture, scattered weapons, and a touch of each girl's personality in the decor. With a casual wave of his hand, he conjured a table full of snacks right in the middle of the room—chips, cookies, fruit, drinks, and a few questionable candies glowing faintly in rainbow hues.

He sat on a chair, leaned back with one leg crossed over the other, and waited.

Team RWBY walked into their dorm room and immediately froze.

Sitting comfortably at a conjured table full of snacks was a strange, otherworldly boy with multicolored eyes and a grin too calm to be normal.

Yang blinked, rubbed her eyes, then glanced around at the others. "So… you guys also see a kid with snacks in the middle of our room, right?"

The other three nodded slowly, still stunned.

"Okay, just checking," Yang added with a dry laugh, though her eyes stayed wary.

Weiss shook off her daze and stepped forward, arms crossed as she gave the boy a skeptical look. "Did you get lost, little boy? Where are your parents?"

Tet swiveled lazily in his chair, his smile widening with mischief. "Actually, I came to talk to you four. Also—I'm not a kid. I'm the God of Games. Name's Tet."

Ruby stifled a laugh and giggled, covering her mouth. "That's cute. He's playing make-believe."

Yang laughed louder and elbowed her little sister. "Yeah, I remember when you used to do that. You were so adorable."

Ruby's face went bright red as she let out an embarrassed groan, slugging Yang in the arm. "Yang! Stop!"

Tet just shrugged, raising his hand. "Yeah, I think I'll just go ahead and prove it."

With a snap of his fingers, the dorm room vanished—replaced instantly by a massive outdoor racetrack under a clear blue sky. Towering stadium lights surrounded the circuit, and in the center sat a sleek, silver-blue Rayfield Caliburn from Cyberpunk 2077, gleaming in the sun like something out of a dream.

All four girls rubbed their eyes, blinking hard, but no matter how many times they tried, the track was still there—real, solid, and impossible to explain.

Yang gave in first, eyes lighting up as she dashed over to the car. She ran her hand along the smooth frame, then grinned wide. "Can I drive this?!"

Tet leaned back, grinning with excitement. "Keys are in the ignition!"

"YES!" Yang whooped, throwing open the door and hopping into the driver's seat. After taking a second to listen to the engine purr beneath her, she slammed her foot on the gas and tore off down the track, laughing like a maniac. "WOOOOHOOOO!"

Blake, arms crossed and still trying to make sense of everything, looked over at Tet. "So you weren't kidding. But how do we know you're a god and not just someone with a Semblance that warps reality?"

Tet rested his chin in his hand, smiling patiently. "Wouldn't I basically have to be a god to have a soul strong enough to support reality-warping on this scale?"

Weiss sighed and shook her head. "Okay, Blake... he kind of has us there."

Ruby, meanwhile, was seated cross-legged in a chair, happily munching on cookies from the conjured table. "Wait… what happened to the Brothers?"

Tet looked at her, voice still light but firm. "They bet Remnant in a game against me… and lost. So I'm your god now."

That got all three of them to freeze mid-motion.

Weiss, Blake, and Ruby all widened their eyes in disbelief.

Blake cleared her throat. "Okay... so what does our new god want with us?"

Tet gave them a bright, curious grin. "Oh, like I said—I'm the God of Games. I'm always looking for new players. You four, along with Team JNPR across the hall, seem like good candidates."

He stood and gestured toward them, voice becoming more animated. "The deal is: beat my games, and you get prizes. In most cases, it's whatever you acquire in the game, plus a bonus from me. That can be anything—from weapons, skills, magic, or even a wish granted by me personally. But that last one's only if I think you did exceptionally well."

Weiss and Blake exchanged thoughtful glances, then quietly sat down at the table, intrigued by his words.

Yang's voice echoed from the track as she whipped around a sharp turn, laughing wildly. "WOOOOO!"

Ruby bounced excitedly in her seat. "I wanna play! Can I? Can I?!"

Tet held up a hand, eyes locking onto her with a knowing smirk. "Sorry, RWBY. Right now, I'm here for Weiss and Blake specifically."

Blake blinked. "Why us?"

Tet tilted his head, voice now calm and serious. "You two are the most suited for this game. The genre is survival horror. You think Ruby and Yang will be okay in that setting?"

Weiss and Blake slowly turned to Ruby, who was shivering slightly even while trying to look brave. "What?! I-I can do it!" she said, hugging herself around the shoulders.

They then thought about Yang, who was still speeding down the racetrack, absolutely fearless—but also someone who would likely try to punch every problem in sight.

They knew Tet was right.

"You and Yang will get a game later, Ruby. Just chill for now," Tet added casually.

Ruby pouted, puffing out her cheeks and nibbling on another cookie. "Fiiiine..."

Tet looked at Weiss and Blake with interest. "So... up for it?"

The two girls met each other's eyes, sharing a silent nod.

Weiss stood up and said confidently, "If it can help us grow stronger—we're in."

"Perfect," Tet replied.

He conjured a single golden key into his palm, its handle engraved with a tiny umbrella emblem. He handed it to Weiss with a glint in his eye. "Alright. I wish you luck."

Weiss took the key and, with a deep breath, activated it.

She and Blake vanished in a beam of golden light.

---

Tet turned toward Ruby, who was now standing and brushing crumbs off her cloak. "Alright, Ruby—do you and Yang want to come watch your friends, or stay and play with the car?"

She looked over and saw Yang doing donuts with an enormous grin on her face.

"Yang, come on! We're going to go watch Weiss and Blake play a game!" Ruby called.

Yang shouted back, "Awwww, five more minutes!"

"Now, Yang!"

Yang groaned, "Can I keep the car?!"

Tet shrugged with a playful smile. "I don't see why not."

"Sweet!"

Ruby, now perked up again, asked excitedly, "There'll be more snacks, right?"

Tet gave a nod. "Of course."

He teleported all three of them away, and they reappeared in Bobby's house.

With a flick of his fingers, Tet made the couch and table bigger, conjured up even more snacks, and created another screen so they could watch Weiss and Blake's game.

"Sam, Castiel—this is Ruby and Yang. Ruby and Yang—this is Sam and Castiel."

Sam, still processing everything, gave a polite nod. "Hey..."

Yang, leaning on the back of the couch, gave a casual smirk. "Sup."

Ruby, now sitting beside a plate of cookies again, waved shyly. "Hi."

Castiel gave them a small bow of his head. "A pleasure to meet you both."

Tet clapped his hands. "Good. Now that we all know each other..." he turned toward the glowing screen. "Let's watch."

Meanwhile, back in Tet's realm…

In the sleek, magically-infused living room of Hermes' house—where ancient artifacts clashed stylishly with neon signs and enchanted gadgets—there was a sudden burst of sulfuric smoke and a faint, echoing pop.

Crowley appeared on the couch with a scowl, brushing ash off his expensive coat. He blinked once, took in the bizarre decor, then muttered with a dry British accent, "Where the hell am I?" His voice carried equal parts annoyance and curiosity, though he was clearly already calculating the situation.

Across the room, Hermes cleared his throat with theatrical flair.

Crowley finally looked over and noticed him for the first time—tall, youthful, with a grin too casual for comfort and eyes full of mischief. He was lounging by the mini-bar, flipping a golden coin between his fingers.

Hermes stepped forward, that trademark sparkle in his eye. "Welcome, Crowley—demon of the crossroads." He said it like an introduction at a party, tone smooth and playful. "I'm Hermes. And I've got a job for you."

Crowley's expression shifted. His eyes narrowed slightly, intrigued now. He adjusted his tie with a smug smirk and leaned back on the couch, one arm casually draped over the backrest.

"I'm listening," he said smoothly, voice low and dangerous—but amused.
