After setting the fire, Yan Zhen Guo stood up and walked out, grabbing the towel by her side as he passed by, heading directly to the living room.

"Since when did I become so weak?" Gu Fuqiao released the bucket.
She carefully examined her hands.
They were slender like scallion stalks; though modern-day Gu Fuqiao rarely did chores, her hands couldn't compare to the pampered hands of a young lady who never did any work.
Seems like she'll have to practice in the future!
Otherwise, Yan Zhen Guo might think of her as a troublesome person like the previous protagonist who didn't cook or wash, leaving a bad impression.
"Keep it up!" As Gu Fuqiao lowered her head, preparing to carry the bucket, she saw that it had already been lifted by a strong arm!

Under the moonlight, Gu Fuqiao finally saw clearly that this figure was none other than Yan Zhen Guo.
Gu Fuqiao breathed a sigh of relief, though a bit of fear still lingered.
She reached for the towel to dry her slightly damp hair, and as she raised her head again, her wet eyes looked at Yan Zhen Guo.
In the darkness, Yan Zhen Guo's gaze remained bright.
Gu Fuqiao thought, in the middle of the night, it's impossible he's just waiting for her to finish bathing… they weren't that close emotionally…
Unless he wanted to continue what happened during the day.
Thinking of those things, Gu Fuqiao's legs involuntarily grew weak.
"Yan Camp Commander, um, I'm a bit sleepy, goodnight then!" Gu Fuqiao wiped her hair and intended to walk back to her room from Yan Zhen Guo's left.
"Where are you going?" Yan Zhen Guo once again blocked Gu Fuqiao's path directly, preventing her from returning to her room.
"I'm going back to sleep in the room…" Gu Fuqiao pointed at the room with her hand.
The man's figure remained unmoved, blocking Gu Fuqiao, "We are husband and wife."

"I know." Gu Fuqiao sighed as she raised her head to look at Yan Zhen Guo.
Before this morning, she had been an introverted girl who hadn't even held hands with a guy, and now she suddenly had to share a bed with one, which was quite odd feeling.

As a gesture of goodwill, and besides, since it's a place she'll be living in too, she shouldn't shortchange herself.
As she was thinking, the space beside her suddenly sunk.
She turned her head and saw a sturdy man lying next to her; although he had closed his eyes, he still seemed intimidating.
"Did he fall asleep so quickly?" Gu Fuqiao, sleeping so close to a man for the first time, couldn't immediately sleep.
She sat up, reached out to wave a hand in front of Yan Zhen Guo's eyes.
Suddenly, the man's thin lips moved, and he said hoarsely, "Can't sleep, think of something meaningful?"
Though he hadn't opened his eyes, the threat in those words was still very strong!
Thinking of those unspeakable things, Gu Fuqiao quickly shook her head, "I'm tired, I'm tired!" She said, immediately turning back to lie down.
But looking at the somewhat dim ceiling, Gu Fuqiao still didn't feel sleepy.
She simply closed her eyes to contemplate the future.
