The original story in the game, *Apocalypse on Earth*, mainly focused on the main character, Seo Yuna.
As such, many other characters were somewhat left in the dark.
An example would be Adonis himself.
In the original route, he and Seo would have traveled to the next town in search of food, only to settle for beans in a can. They were not in the same group, but Seo allowed him to follow her since all his group members died during the break of the 4th quest.
During their time together, they barely spoke; only once in a while did they say a few things and then carry on with their daily lives.
Though Adonis still made himself the center of attention, his entire reason was unclear.
Not until the fifth quest, when Seo revealed how much she hated him, did he go on a rampage, indicating how obsessed he was with her.
His obsession got the better of him, and he intended to kill her. His plan failed, and Seo ended up beating him, even though he used his divine blessing.
