Vlad's expression turned thoughtful, and he sighed. "That's because they've been using black magic," he said, his voice low and serious. "It's one of the reasons we couldn't catch their scents before. They're able to mask themselves, making it harder for us to track them."
Casey's mind was reeling with the implications. "So, you're saying they're not just rogue wolves, but…but something more?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Vlad's gaze locked onto hers. "Yes," he said, his voice firm. "And I have some of them in prison, waiting to be dealt with."
"How long have you been here?" Casey asked.
The woman's words painted a vivid picture in Casey's mind, and she found herself getting caught up in the excitement. She craned her neck to get a glimpse of the mysterious Angel, her curiosity growing by the minute. As the carriage door opened, and a vision of loveliness stepped out, Casey's eyes widened in amazement. She couldn't help but stare, her mouth hanging open in awe.
