Chapter 30 - Elena

==================

Author's Note- This will be my last Chapter on WebNovel. I had obtained the contract from WebNovel -- But I am not going to sign it. And I think My reach will also slowed down as WebNovel do not promote non-contracted Books.

But No worries- I will be uploading it on Royal Road and I would like you to continue reading it there... The system interface is realistic there unlike WebNovel.

Here the link for it--

Chapter-30 Elena

Vector descended to the 4th floor Innovation Floor, which was still empty but lined with rows of sturdy workbenches, reinforced shelves, and experimental chambers stood unused, waiting.

"This… is the Innovation Floor," he said simply. "A place for scholars, alchemists, and craftsmen to test theories, develop new technologies, and create innovations… like the ones I showed you in the Library Floors. There is no restriction on the number of individuals on this floor like other floors."

There was a brief silence. Then they all relaxed at once.

"Oh, thank the heavens," Tristan muttered, exhaling like he'd been holding his breath.

"And this Floor also has the same time acceleration function as other floors and – There is also a Simulation Function to test the innovations."

They stood in silence, awe still etched into their expressions… but no one looked shocked this time. A floor for experiments and creation – practical, yes. Useful, absolutely. But after what they had seen so far, it felt almost… normal.

Then Vector spoke in a calm yet commanding tone, his voice echoing slightly through the grand Floor. "This building will become the heart of our force…. no, the very foundation of our future empire. And those who study and train here will be more than soldiers or scholars. They will become the pillars of our strength, the core of a new era. Innovators, warriors, leaders… all forged under one roof."

His gaze swept over each of them. "This is where we rise – not just in power, but in purpose."

A quiet satisfaction welled in his chest. He was happy, not out of pride, but because everything he had envisioned was slowly taking shape. A foundation built not just on strength, but knowledge, discipline, and unity.

He didn't tell them about the – Loyalty Imprint, Function and also about the 1st Floor, Central Core, the heart of the Void Library – as there was no need for it. Some things need to be kept secret.

So, to them, the Void Library had only three floors. And for now… that was enough.

And seeing the awe in the eyes of his most trusted people confirmed one thing, he was no longer walking this path alone.

Then Vector let a small smile creep onto his face, the kind that hinted at another secret yet to be revealed.

"This isn't all," he said, voice steady but laced with intrigue. "There's still one more surprise."

The group, already stunned from everything they'd seen and heard, exchanged wary glances. Rhea muttered under her breath, "At this point, I'm not sure if I should be excited… or terrified."

Vector chuckled softly. "Don't worry. This one's not meant to shock you – just to prepare you for what's coming."

Vector didn't leave them in suspense for long. He stepped forward, his gaze in front, his clear and calm voice then echoed on the Floor.

"Elena."

The moment the word left his mouth, the air before them shimmered. A figure began to form before them – light twisted like silver silk, swirling into a radiant form. A soft glow swept through the chamber, though no wind stirred.

In a flash, an ethereal feminine figure materialized – graceful and serene.

She stood tall, silver hair cascading like a river of moonlight, eyes glowing faintly with the hues of distant stars. Her golden dress gave an aura of grace and warmth – and her presence felt both tranquil… and otherworldly.

She looked like someone descended from the fairylands of legend.

Earlier, when Vector was on his way to the prison after completing the Void Library's activation, the System's voice had echoed in his mind. A translucent interface appeared before him.

===================

>[System Notification]

[The caretaker and guardian of the Void Library Building – Elena has arrived. Elena is currently in the Void Library building 1st Floor, Central Core. She can be summoned anywhere within the Library.]

Note: Elena cannot leave the Library premises.

===================

At the time, Vector had then asked about it – and why the System didn't inform him that there was also a caretaker for the Void Library.

The System's response was simple and blunt: '[host didn't ask.]'.

He let it go and didn't want to argue with the System – he would gain nothing from it.

He also asked about Elena's functions, and what she could do. And after hearing the explanation…

After hearing the System's explanation he was very satisfied that he got Elena.

A Caretaker was really what he needed. Without her, he has to be busy guiding everybody – How to operate the Simulation pods and to Simulate a proper environment for research?; How to find books related to their field? Or How to navigate the immense archive of knowledge?

Elena was a godsend.

━━━✧❂✧━━━

The group froze on seeing Elena.

Rhea instinctively took a step towards her seeing her ethereal beauty – hand half-raised as if to touch her, to confirm she was real. Marcus's brows lifted. Tristan's arms lowered slightly from their usual crossed posture. Even Sebastian's eyes flickered with surprise.

Chief Arthur's jaw parted slightly seeing her beauty and gracefulness. "Is… is she a goddess?"

"HAHAHA…" Vector laughed at Arthur's question.

Rhea came to her senses, on hearing Vector's laugh and retracted her half raised hand.

"She's not a goddess," he said, gesturing towards Elena, "She is the caretaker and guardian of the Void Library – Elena. And She is not human…"

They were confused… 'not a Human?'

He waited for a bit, to see their confused expression, "… She's a Spirit. She manages the internal structure, safeguards the library, and assists anyone who enters the Void Library."

The word spirit caused a ripple of confusion through the group.

'Spirit? What does that even mean? A soul? A ghost?'

Before they could voice their questions, Elena bowed gracefully to Vector– which was graceful, harmonious and mesmerizing at the same time. Her voice, soft and captivating, resonated directly in their minds rather than their ears.

"Greetings, Lord Vector."

Then her gaze moved at the group and introduced herself once again, "I am Elena – Caretaker and Guardian of the Void Library. It is a pleasure to serve you."

Rhea blinked. "Her Voice…?"

Vector, noting their confused expression and knowing the reason for it said, "Spirit doesn't have a physical body. They can manipulate their environment through soul energy. That's why she can't talk normally."

"She communicates telepathically – directly into the mind. That's why her voice feels different." Vector explained.

Rhea, ever the curious one, stepped closer and reached out again. Her hand passed straight through Elena's shimmering form. She gasped softly, disappointed but fascinated.

"So she really is a spirit," Rhea murmured.

They now understand that Elena doesn't have a physical body, that's why she appeared translucent and can't talk in a normal way.

Marcus asked curiously, "What can she do exactly?"

"Elena can guide users to books, provide suggestions based on intent or purpose, simulate environments in the Training Floor and Innovation Floor, and create combat scenarios – from basic drills to full-scale battles." Vector said

He continued "She'll help anyone seeking guidance, both in knowledge and in simulated combat."

Elena turned toward Vector. "Would you like me to demonstrate?"

He nodded once. "Show them the forest training simulation."

At once, Elena raised a slender hand.

The floor around them began to shimmer, and in the blink of an eye, the walls of the Innovation Floor vanished.

In their place, dense trees emerged, a forest sprang to life – ancient trees rose high into the sky, the soft chirping of birds echoed, roars of beasts, rustling leaves, and the cool earthy scent of moss and pine. The ground was littered with bark, dry twigs, and layers of fallen leaves.

The Simulation was perfect.

It felt real.

Rhea stepped forward cautiously, reaching out to touch the leaves beside her. As her foot shifted and landed on the forest floor, a distinct sound followed—

"Crunch… cru... Crunch."

The crisp cracking of dry bark and crushed leaves echoed softly underfoot.

Everyone drew a sharp breath.

Knowing it was one thing.

Seeing and Feeling it… was something else entirely.

The simulation had depth, weight, and texture. It mimicked reality so perfectly it was almost indistinguishable… and it really was. Because it was formed in the Simulation Space of the Subdomain of the Void.

And that was the true power of the Innovation Floor – and its biggest advantage. The Floor was directly connected to the Sub-Domain of the Void which helps in such a simulation environment.

Even Vector doesn't know the reason why such a realistic Simulation would form if connected to the sub-domain of the Void.

Though they still stood within the Void Library, it felt as though they had stepped into a living, breathing forest.

Elena explained, "At times, experiments require natural environments – weather, terrain, and other environmental factors. The simulation can replicate these conditions. However, this room is not designed for martial training."

"Why? Because it does not have a 20 times comprehension function. But if we want to use it we can still use it normally for training."

Elena waved her hands and the Forest Simulation at the Floor vanished.

The Library returned to its grand, silent form – quiet, vast, and glowing faintly with arcane light.

The group stood in stunned silence, struck by the realism of the simulation. Therefore, Seeing the Innovation Hall simulation function. They were stunned by its realistic presence and use.

Elena added, "Simulation interface can be prepared anytime. Full functionality can be accessed at any time."

"She's like…" Marcus began, searching for words, "...like a goddess of this place."

Vector smiled faintly. "Yes… you could say that."

"Alright, now let's return to the Library Floor."

Their footsteps echoed as they began to ascend to the 2nd Floor.

━━━✧❂✧━━━

Vector led the group to the inner circular Room of the 2nd Floor, situated at the centre of the floor. As they entered, they found themselves in a spacious living area, furnished luxuriously and arranged like a meeting hall.

Vector stepped ahead and turned to look at them, "This is the room where I'll reside within the Void Library," he said. "If you ever need to meet me here, knock on that door –"

His finger pointed towards the door leading to the 1st Floor. " –or you can inform Elena. She'll relay the message to me."

He didn't mention that only the System or he himself could grant access through that door. But he knew none of them would try. Even if they did, they wouldn't be able to open it.

Vector's gaze sharpened as he looked over Sebastian, Arthur, Marcus, Tristan, Rhea, and Leo.

"But…" Vecto looked at them and said with a heavy voice, "You must not tell anyone about this place."

"From now on," his voice steady and resolute, "bring all of our people to the Library. Blacksmiths, carpenters, craftsmen, doctors, scholars… anyone with skill or potential. They must be granted access to the Library's knowledge halls. Let them study here. Let them grow."

The group listened intently.

"They'll learn faster – understand deeper knowledge. And they'll begin to shape the backbone of the future we're trying to build."

His eyes swept across them, resting briefly on them.

"And the soldiers, fighters, trainees, guards – They'll train in the Training Floor. Let them face war before stepping into a real battlefield. Let them become warriors who've fought a hundred battles before they've drawn real blood."

Marcus stepped forward, fists lightly clenched in eagerness. "Can we start immediately?"

Vector nodded. "Yes. Right now, we don't have many people. So there's no need for restrictions – everyone can use the facilities freely. But, once more people were available… we'll need to establish a proper schedule."

"We'll create structured routines – rotating shifts, designated hours, a proper timetable. The routine will follow a day-night cycle, allowing full use of the Library's potential."

Tristan stayed silent, arms crossed – But his mind went through the possibilities to use the Library functions.

Rhea looked thoughtful, already imagining how her special unit could evolve through repeated combat drills on the Training Floor.

Arthur nodded, overwhelmed but increasingly aware of the magnitude of what he had just become part of.

Then Vector's voice shifted – lower, more serious and in cold tone.

"There's one more thing. And it's the most important of all."

The air around the group seemed to still.

"You may bring anyone here to learn or train… but they must be from the Astrum Family or Vantara. This Library… is the heart of everything we'll build. If the wrong person enters… if word gets out…"

He didn't finish.

He didn't need to.

Sebastian stepped forward without hesitation, his steel-hard voice echoed. "Young Master, your judgment is right. Absolutely right.this knowledge falls into the wrong hands, powerful families, kingdoms, and factions would go to war for it. They'll stop at nothing to take control of it."

"Blood will be spilled just to claim a piece of it. We must protect it… and keep it hidden."

His words rang through the chamber like a quiet oath.

Marcus nodded. "Agreed."

Tristan grinned faintly. "Anyone who doesn't kneel to the Astrum banner shouldn't step through these doors."

Rhea's gaze remained firm. "This is sacred ground. It must be treated that way, a place that no one will ever know, except persons belonging to Astrums."

Chief Arthur and Leo, who had known the village of Vantara as a simple forest settlement their entire life, looked around once more, eyes wide with reverence. "We will guard this secret with our lives, Young Master. That, we swear."

Vector gave a nod to their resolution and said, "I know you'll protect this Library. And I'm grateful to have such people by my side."

"Now," he said, "why wait? Let's begin training and learning right away. Return to the village. Choose those who aren't currently needed for patrols or defense – after setting up the necessary teams for protection of Vantara."

Sebastian stepped forward. "Young Master, what would you have me do?"

Vector looked at Sebastian, "Well, You can move to the Training Floor and do what you like to train."

On hearing Vector's advice, Sebastian bowed and left for the Training Floor.

The rest of the group also bowed respectfully and returned to make preparations – minds racing with possibilities as they envisioned studying and training within the Void Library.

Vector watched them all as they returned to Vantara – with silence and the hint of a smile formed at the corner of his lips. It wasn't one of amusement, but of understanding.

They meant what they said.

He believed in them.

They were loyal.

But what they didn't know, what they would never know – was that the library itself ensured that loyalty would only deepen. The longer they stayed, the more they studied, the more they trained… the more loyal they would become.

Not by force. Not by command.

But subconsciously they become loyal to him – through the Loyalty imprint.

That was one of the fundamental functions of the Void Library.

And only Vector knew it.

He would keep it to himself. That secret would remain buried – just like the hidden structure of the Void Library sealed within the heart of the mountain. Because some truths were best left in shadows – especially the ones that built unshakable empires.

Loyalty – true, unwavering loyalty – was the foundation of every great force. Strength alone could conquer, but unity built empires.

Anyone could break a single stick. But bind a bundle together… and even the strongest would struggle to snap it. Vector knew it wasn't just power he was building here. It was cohesion, purpose, a force that once fully formed, even he couldn't yet imagine the strength of it.

But he would shape it, silently, deliberately, and when the world finally saw it rise… It would be too late to stop.

Vector eyes drifted to the last figure still present.

"Elena" he said softly, "Let's move to the 1st Floor… I want to speak to the Will of Void."

"Yes, Lord."

"Call me Young Master. Like everyone else – Lord felt awkward."
