Shaan and Nalira slowly stepped backward, trying to put distance between themselves and the Blue Lizard as it crept closer. Damn it. Neither of them expected a Blue Lizard to spot them. Shaan had felt certain they would escape this bloodthirsty creature.
"We have no choice but to fight it." Shaan crossed his two short swords, preparing to launch an attack. "Robin Hood, help me while—"
"No." Nalira swung her sword to the side. "I'll fight this creature."
She narrowed her eyes. "I'll draw its attention. You need to get out of here and chase Chelsie."
"Nalira... are you sure?"
Nalira nodded firmly. "The longer we hesitate, the more danger Chelsie faces."
Shaan was silent for a moment. What Nalira said was true; if they both stayed here, Chelsie's life would most likely be in danger. One of them had to save Chelsie as quickly as possible.
"Go. Now." A golden-yellow light flowed along the surface of Nalira's blade. "We don't have much time."
"O-okay."
