Emily's pov
I read that line over and over again until my cheeks were bright red like a pair of cherries. His eyes narrowed at me expectantly, I couldn't keep my boss hanging for an answer so I nervously looked down and replied as the pen shook in my hand.
"Thank you,"
Suddenly the whole place brightened up as it was flooded with light, marking the end of the presentation. I straightened up and continued to take notes.
This is crazy…right? No, it was just a compliment. No big deal. It's only going to be weird when I make a big deal out of it myself.
I thought it would be a one-time thing.
It wasn't.
I found sticky notes everywhere, in the fridge at home all the way to my desk in the office. It ranged from specific compliments like how he liked the way I styled my hair to encouraging little phrases.
I kept all of them stored in a single folder though from the looks of things I might have to get a bigger one soon.
