Chapter 194 - Chapter 194; Enough for now

"Enough for now," he murmured softly, pressing his forehead against hers, his breath warm and calming. "Rest… my love."

She closed her eyes, her chest rising and falling rapidly as her trembling gradually subsided under his soothing touch. Her heart thudded with quiet contentment as his arms wrapped around her securely, holding her close to his chest.

In his embrace, there was no fear, no past, no uncertainty, only a quiet eternity of love, devotion, and the promise of all their tomorrows.

Outside, the plane cut gracefully through the pale morning sky, carrying them home to a new beginning, wrapped in each other's warmth, the safest place on earth.

The golden sun broke through the clouds, bathing the jet in soft brilliance as it soared towards Beijing, towards the life awaiting them in the land that birthed them both… a life where his vows would echo in her soul, fresh and true, every single day.

And for that fleeting, suspended moment above the world, it felt as if nothing could ever touch the sanctity of their love.

Outside, the golden sun broke through the clouds, bathing both private jets in soft brilliance as they flew side by side towards Beijing, towards the life awaiting them in the land that birthed them both.

IN FLIGHT – LU FAMILY AIRBUS

Inside the larger family jet, quiet conversations blended with the hum of the engines. Lu Ting Cheng scrolled through legal documents on his tablet, glasses perched low on his nose. Across from him, Lu Ting Zhou was half-asleep, his head resting against the window with his earbuds in.

Meanwhile, Lu Zi Zhen stretched out his long legs and glanced up from his phone, a faint mischievous grin curling his lips.

"Did you guys see Dad just now?" he asked lazily, glancing towards his older brothers.

Lu Ting Zhou cracked one eye open, queried innocently, "What about him?"

Zi Zhen snorted softly, mimicking their father's deep voice with exaggerated tenderness, "' Are you feeling alright? Sleep well… let me tuck you in, my precious wife…'" He clasped his hands dramatically over his chest, earning a rare snort of amusement from Lu Ting Cheng.

"That's accurate," Ting Cheng said dryly, adjusting his glasses, "He's been doting on her like she's made of glass."

"At least he's not yelling at us these days," Ting Zhou murmured sleepily, though his lips twitched faintly in reluctant amusement. "He's too busy being her slave."

Zi Zhen laughed quietly, shaking his head, "It's kind of cute though… they act like newlyweds even after so many years."

"Mn," Ting Cheng agreed with a small smile, glancing out the window at the faint silhouette of the smaller Airbus flying beside them. "Let them be happy. They deserve it."

For a fleeting moment, silence settled between the brothers, each lost in private thoughts, until Zi Zhen spoke again, his tone light.

"I bet Dad is kissing her senseless right now," he teased, earning a quiet chuckle from Ting Cheng and a sleepy grunt from Ting Zhou.

"Gross, "Ting Zhou muttered, tugging his hood over his head to block them out. "Wake me up when we land."

Zi Zhen only laughed softly, returning to his phone with a faint grin tugging at his lips.

Despite everything, moments like these reminded him that they were still just a family, flawed, scarred, but together.

AIRPORT – PRIVATE MANSION AIRSTRIP – CHINA

The sleek Airbus touched down smoothly on the expansive private runway that stretched across the eastern edge of the Lu family's new estate, a property sprawling over hundreds of hectares with its own manicured golf course, horse stables, and aircraft hangars hidden among curated pine groves.
