He was brilliant, manipulative, and obsessed with all kinds of experiments. He didn't care about ethics or consequences. All he wanted was to push the limits of science, at any cost, to achieve whatever he wanted, but he hadn't thought about the effects of those experiments on humans."
Her voice caught for a moment feeling her throat was dry, "And I was young, eager, desperate to prove myself. I signed off on things without reading the fine print and trusted him more than I should have. He used me as a cover, and when things started to spiral out of control… he had already set me up to take the fall. I came to know of it as time went by, by then I was expelled from the academy, and I stopped doing anything involved with science; that's the reason I didn't mind getting engaged to my sister's husband because that was another way of escaping all that and staying low key."
