In the morning after getting permission from the professor, Sartyr, to be gone for a few days with camping as my excuse, I made my way to the temple from the other night, put on my gear, and pulled out the mystic plasma zone field spell. "Ready to go, Ash?" i asked. "Yep, I am ready," she said, flying around in excitement. As I focused my energy on the card, a flash of blue light transported me to a gray, stone flatland under a stormy sky filled with flashes of blue lightning. I then felt a surge of strength enter my body, energizing me and enhancing my muscles' strength. "This must be the effect of the field spell, so I guess I'm considered a dark attribute," I thought. "I guess most normal people are probably on earth, with the rare darkness and light based on their personalities or the magic they use."

Then ash flew around from behind me. "Oooh, this place looks so spooky," she said, looking around. "before we just go walking in a random direction, there is a friend that can help us find some of the stronger monsters." I said I was pulling a card from my pocket. "Hey, Octhros, will you come out and help lead us to the stronger monsters?" I asked Octhros to come out while holding out his card. With a flash of purple lights, Octhros jumped out of the card, and after a second, he grew a little bigger, and his teeth grew a little sharper. After a minute he began to run off into the distance.

As we traveled across the flatlands, we encountered several monsters that had been defeated; most left behind small dark attribute cores, while five disintegrated into purple dust that eventually filled my pocket. Eventually, a dark gold hue illuminated the sky, and the distant sound of combat reached my ears. When I arrived on the scene, I saw three monsters engaged in battle. I recognized all three. The monster fighting the other two was Invader of Darkness, who released a beam of gold light; however, before it could hit the downed Gagagigo, the marauding captain blocked it with his body as a shield.

As the captain fell forward i decided to help out by firing a Shield crush into the side of the invader, destroying his gold arm and blowing it off before Gagagigo jumped up and slammed a water-covered fist into the chest of invader crushing his ribs, and then followed up with a slam of his tail in the same spot, killing him, and as he died, he burst into dark gold dust, arriving in my pocket. Afterward I walked over to the duo.

"Thank you human for the help; your attack gave me the opening to finish that monster off." Gagagigo, said as I arrived. "It was no problem; I was looking for powerful fiend monsters and my friend here was the one to lead me here," I said as I gave the marauding captain some red medicine. "Do you two have a way out of this world?" i asked. "Yes, I know where a gateway is; we will head there in a little bit when he finishes healing." Gagagigo said this while assisting the captain.

After speaking with them a little bit longer, I continued the hunt for more monsters. Eventually, Octhros led me to a spot in a dark canyon. Suddenly, the ground erupted in a flash of flames as a large monster burst from the earth and attempted to stab me with its tail. I dodged at the last second, narrowly avoiding the tail, which resembled that of a scorpion. As I looked at the monster, it appeared to be a demon from hell; my best guess is that it is some type of archfiend, and it held a blood-red staff with a spiral in its hand. With a roar, it started to launch small fireballs.

I dodged some fireballs and blocked others; then, I retaliated by using my gravity manipulation to launch nearby boulders at the fiend. It managed to dodge most of them, but the last boulder clipped its wing and brought it down to the ground. Once on the ground, it used its magic to summon two armored monsters wielding glowing green katanas. Without giving the fiend any more time, I brought out the axe of despair and Gleipnir; with the axe in my hand, I could feel my strength increase. I then launched Gleipnir at the fiend; once it was wrapped up, I pulled it to me. As the fiend reached me, it tried to strike with its tail, but I dodged and cut it off with the axe. I then turned and used the fiend as a shield to block attacks from the two armored monsters, resulting in both the fiend and the summoned monsters turning to purple dust and entering my pocket.

As we walked deeper into the canyon, Octhros led me to the mouth of a large hole in the ground, and when I looked down, I noticed that it was so deep it turned into a pitch-black abyss. Pulling out Sleipnir, I jumped on his back, and he flew me down the hole. After an hour of flying down to the bottom, we landed; Sleipnir returned to his card, and I created a large fireball for light.

As I walked forward, I found a giant skeleton with big black wings lying on the ground and a giant sword embedded in its chest. When I reached down to get a closer look, I felt a burst of purple dust enter my pocket. Walking forward past the skeleton. After a few minutes, I reach a large, dark temple made of basalt, so dark that it looks like it is absorbing the light from the fireball. As I walked inside the temple, I noticed that it was smaller than the one on the island. I saw a woman in a black dress with ghostly white skin; flying around her was a black ghostly dragon. In front of her were three giant stone statues of the wicked gods.

"A mortal child has found my prison after 5,000 years and they have found a blessing from my domain, which is quite interesting." She turned around to face me, her cold wine-colored eyes locking onto mine. "This lady gives me a weird feeling; be careful." Ash said, hiding herself behind my back. "I apologize for intruding on your home. I was hunting fiends when my friend here led me to the hole that brought me down here and that blessing is from the goddess I made a deal with. I said in a respectful tone.

"Do not worry, child; my child and I have been locked away here alongside our protectors with no one else for so long that no one, including myself, remembers my name. I would not mind having you and those spirits with you stay here for a while," she said as she gestured to a nearby room that looked like an ancient study with three chairs and a few bookshelves. "Please take a seat... "I will go and get us some tea, if that is fine with you," she asked thoughtfully. "Yes, please, tea would be nice," i said, taking the seat on the right with the most dust on it.

After a few minutes she returned with a small silver tray with two cups and a silver teapot. After she put it down, she poured me a cup before handing it over. I took a sip; the tea had an earthy flavor with a small hint of sweetness to it. "This tea is lovely, thank you," i said with a smile. "Thank you. I have been cultivating this strain of tea for a very long time; ever since I was a young goddess, it has been one of my favorite activities, as there are not many plants that grow down here," she said with a small smile. "You mentioned earlier that this temple was your prison; what happened?" I asked in a respectful tone.

"That is a long story, but to make it short, around 5,000 years ago, a war took place in the spirit world where many of the spirits of divine-level strength existed together, and many humans from the human world would worship us, and we would provide our strength and support to those we deemed worthy, or some would use their priests to battle each other—like the crimson dragon and the earthbound immortals." i asked when she took a sip of her tea,

"Yes, those two would constantly battle each other until both sides were sealed. This was the way of the world for centuries. That was until one day a god of my generation got power hungry and teamed up with monsters of other worlds to wage war on everyone else. He and his angels slew many, and those they couldn't defeat were sealed along with me and my three champions in the temple, which was then sunk underground. My champions and I cannot be released until someone defeats me, and even then, I would be hunted by them when I am freed. If I hid my power in a mortal, would you be that person for me—not for me but for my daughter—so she can finally see the sun?" she said, almost pleading at the end.

"Ok, so what do we need to do for this to work—is it defeated physically, like how I killed other spirits, or in a duel, like the priest did in the past?" i asked "we will have a sacred duel but i will have to prepare so we will have to hold the duel tomorrow." She said it with a slight hint of happiness. After that, for the rest of the day, she told me about the spirit world in the past while Ash and Octhros went to play with her daughter. "If it brings you any solace, according to the book of life, it shows that Lucifer became the first darklord so it's likely that the god who sealed you is likely dead." i said I was showing her the book in his chapter. "Ha ha, that bastard finally got what was coming to him," she laughed. "Thank you for that i will show you to your room; please follow me." She stood up and led me down the hall to the first guest room, which had a bed covered with silver sheets and a black blanket.

After cleaning myself for the night ash returned to the room and fell asleep on the foot of the bed before heading to bed i pulled out my duel disc and got it ready for tomorrow and then i put in my Runick deck and spent the next two hours studying more of the book of life before heading to bed.
