LUCIEN POV
Aria's scream of pain cut through me like a knife as I pressed my hands against her bleeding stomach.
"Stay with me," I whispered, pouring my healing energy into her. "Don't you dare leave us now."
She was dying. Again. This was the third time in two weeks that my mate had nearly been killed, and each time it got harder to bring her back.
"The baby," she gasped, her hand moving to her belly. "Lucien, save the baby."
My heart stopped. "What baby?"
"I'm pregnant," she whispered, tears running down her face. "I found out this morning. Right before the Shadow Lords attacked."
I felt like the world had turned sideways. Aria was carrying our child, and I might lose them both.
"How far along?" I asked, already scanning her body with my healing senses.
"Six weeks, maybe seven," she said softly. "I was going to tell you tonight. I had it all planned out."
