Moving to the top floor of the Lord's office, I immediately looked around.
The place was nicely furnished, rich and tasteful. It wasn't really important, though; I was more looking for hiding places. I managed to find a safe, but there was nothing interesting inside, so I went to Maxwell's laptop and quickly gained access. The defense system was even a little better than Wells' from Earth-2, commendable. But it wasn't hard to bypass, I'd dealt with it before. And my skills had gotten much better, especially with my brain's enhanced capabilities.
Once inside, I found many interesting blueprints. Although they didn't seem to be anything special to me. But I copied them anyway, why not....
"He definitely stores everything somewhere else..." - it was no wonder this guy didn't keep all the important information on his work computer. It might be worth a visit to his house.....
Closing the laptop, I immediately moved to another room, it interested me a little more.
It was a fairly spacious room with gray walls and good lighting. There was also a large monitor, several sensors, and good medical equipment.
In the center of the room there was a large chair on which a pale girl was lying. Next to her was a drip with a completely black liquid in it. This substance was slowly injected into the girl through the drip.
It appears to be Bizarro, or rather an unfinished version of her. In the future, Maxwell would change her appearance and make her an exact copy of Supergirl. I wasn't really interested in the girl, I was more interested in getting that black substance he was injecting her with.
Her heartbeat was normal and her breathing was quite stable.
When I got closer, I lifted her eyelid and saw her eyes were completely black. I don't know what he did, but this stuff is really special. It made this girl strong enough to fight Supergirl. Of course, I wasn't going to eat her, even if I had the chance. Who knows what would happen to me afterward, I didn't want to take any chances, but I could take the substance, if I studied it, I might get something out of it.
I drew a little liquid into one syringe, and in the other I drew Bizzaro's blood, which was also black, which wasn't particularly surprising. But it was enough. I had no intention of killing her....
"Hmm, and she could hurt Kara, maybe we should just..." - Squeezing the girl's neck, I mumbled:
«What the hell... - I felt the unpleasant consequence of our connection with Kara again. I felt the urge to help her for free... That's creepy, that's definitely not like me. I was even a little worried about that girl.....
Hmm, I wouldn't say that's a bad thing, it feels even mildly interesting. I already have at least two women I'd probably worry about. I'm not so sure about Thea, she's been acting a little weird. She hasn't even returned my calls, so I think we should have a serious talk. But Nyssa will definitely follow me, and Caitlin... Well, she's kind of cool with all this. Anyway, I can't say I have strong feelings for them. It's more like I like them, but more than that... Can I even have feelings like that? Well, I guess I used to.
But Kara's situation is pretty special. We have some kind of special kinship now that makes me feel strange, and unfamiliar feelings. It's like a rare compatibility that I'm unintentionally drawn to. And because of this, I have thoughts that are not my own. I'm usually used to acting reasonably, even if it hurts my women a little. I knew that they could handle it and would only grow stronger from various hardships. Besides, would I be able to look after them all the time? That would be just silly.
But with Kara the situation is different, even now, knowing that Bizzaro will lose, I still want to get rid of her so she won't hurt her. I realize mentally that it's stupid and completely unlike me, but instinctively, I just want to kill her.
Moreover, even realizing this, I'm not really upset, I feel good about it in a way. The feeling that there is someone like you, experiencing something similar, is quite interesting.
Well, even if that's the way it is now, I'm not gonna let it control me... I still have my mind, so I can handle it.
Brushing all thoughts away, I removed my hand from Bizzaro's neck and teleported out of the building.

A few minutes earlier.
As soon as Hunter disappeared, having previously destroyed the wall of ice, Kara tried to stop him, but not in time.
When he disappeared, the girl looked around lost, trying to find him, but it was all to no avail, he had simply vanished.
The girl didn't understand what was happening, inside she realized that she had met him for the first time, but what she felt was inexpressible. Everything inside her trembled, and the world around her seemed to become much lighter and brighter. But as soon as he disappeared, everything suddenly became dark and quiet again, completely empty. She even felt a slight fear that she wouldn't be able to see him again....
Kara realized that what was happening to her was completely abnormal.
"What did he do? Who is he anyway..." - the girl couldn't find a reasonable explanation for her feelings. Nor was she trying to, all she wanted right now was to see him again...
While she stared sadly in an unknown direction, Maxwell looked suspiciously at the body of the recently dying old man. After checking his pulse and feeling his chest, he realized that he was already in much better condition than before. Of course, he still needed help, but he could definitely survive. The only thing left to do was to move him, which wasn't a smart thing to do, but there was no choice. If nothing was done, it could all happen again....
At this point, Olsen approached Kara and inquired:
«Kara, what's wrong with you?
The girl smiled and shook her head:
«It's nothing... I'm fine," the girl said, turning to the man lying on the ground:
«He needs help, let's move him.
«What did he say to you? - Maxwell asked glumly.
«Uh, nothing... He just asked what our names were," Kara lied implausibly.
Olsen smiled crookedly and lied as well:
«Yeah, he just helped this guy out and asked us a couple questions.
Looking suspiciously at both of them, Maxwell could only inwardly sigh. Why would they be telling him the truth?
«Hmm, okay, let's get him up, get him in the car.
Olsen nodded, and the old man's daughter quickly opened the car door.
A few minutes later, the man was taken to the ambulances and began to be treated.
His daughter stood back and watched.....
Kara still had the same sad look on her face, and Maxwell kept asking Olsen about the recent incident.
«He-- He saved my father. What's his name? - the old man's daughter asked Kara.
The girl looked off into the distance and sighed:
«I don't know...
