Mei Lin sat with her arms around her body. Her eyes watched every move of XiangXiang who was busy building a campfire with WenWen and some of his other juniors.
In her preoccupation with observing XiangXiang's behavior with the others, Mei Lin recalled her past memories. A memory that cannot be forgotten.
Mei Lin still remembers clearly how little XiangXiang's crying non-stop after he woke up from a coma and made Jun feel lifeless. XiangXiang wouldn't stop crying no matter how much Jun tried to persuade him.
"I want mama! Mama!!!"
XiangXiang shouted in his tears. He cried until his voice was hoarse.
"XiangXiang...Mama isn't here. Mama went with Papa. But XiangXiang has a brother to keep XiangXiang company."
Jun persuaded while hugging his little brother's small body. Tears began to well up in his eyes. His sadness began to grip his heart tightly.
"Why are mama and papa going without XiangXiang? XiangXiang wants to go too..."
XiangXiang's words really felt like a big rock hitting his body until it was flattened. Jun's tears flowed faster and faster like a stream.
"No! XiangXiang can't leave me alone. I need XiangXiang. Doesn't XiangXiang love his big brother?"
Jun hugged little XiangXiang tightly. His spirit felt shattered. His little heart began to curse itself. He began to wonder, why did God take his parents? Why didn't God just take him if in the end his younger brother would suffer?
"We can go together with mama and papa."
XiangXiang said wistfully in his sobs. Slowly, Jun sadness start to devouring his soul, he nodded. "Why not? It is also can. Maybe it's not as bad as we think."
"If you two leave, who will I take care of? Your papa and mama will be mad at me later."
Mei Lin's voice was loud. She stood at the door with both hands clasped around her waist. XiangXiang, who had been crying non-stop, suddenly stopped. His eyes were right on Mei Lin's soft face.
Mei Lin walked over and sat on the edge of the bed.
"XiangXiang's mama and papa asked me to take care of XiangXiang and brother Jun. Can XiangXiang accompany this big sis?"
Mei Lin said softly. Her smile was warm enough for XiangXiang. Xiangxiang nodded slowly. Mei Lin smiled getting warmer.
"XiangXiang want to sleep with me tonight?"
Mei Lin asked as she gently stroked XiangXiang's hair. Xiangxiang nodded.
"Brother too?"
Mei Lin swallowed her saliva after hearing XiangXiang's hard-core question.
"No. I'll sleep with Uncle Jiang. Uncle Jiang will be lonely if I also sleep here. XiangXiang sleeps with sister Mei Lin tonight. And I will be back tomorrow."
Jun said as he gently pinched Xiang Xiang's nose. Xiang Xiang smiled before nodding.
"Thank you Mei Lin"
Jun whispered softly in Mei Lin's ear. Mei Lin nodded. Her face was red as tomato.
"Why is your face so red? Do you have a fever?"
A voice suddenly asked. Mei Lin turned around. Su Ruan looked at her in puzzled. "Of all the times you have, why do you want to come and disturb my daydreams now?" Mei Lin give Su Ruan her side eyes.
"You are really annoying."
Mei Lin said as her eyes returned to XiangXiang and WenWen.
"Hah!? What have I done? Was it wrong for me to care about my only sister?"
Su Ruan said, starting to act out. Drama queen indeed.
"Wu Ya! Could you take this annoying man of yours away from me!"
Mei Lin said as she pushed Su Ruan away from her. Having a younger brother who likes to act out is really nerves wracking.
Wu Ya lurked behind the kitchen door. Watching Su Ruan's spoiled behavior towards his sister. Wu Ya just smiled. Too lazy to treat the two siblings. The more you treat them, the more unreasonable their behavior will be.
Wu Ya make himself busy by helping JiaJia and the others in the kitchen. Preparing their BBQ party for that night.
"Big sis...do you.... probably remember about your first love? My guess is correct right...?"
Su Ruan was still not finish teasing Mei Lin. It was nice to see the feminine side of his sister. Her shy side, her soft side even her gentle side. It felt like he had received a gift from heaven.
"Are you done?"
Mei Lin looked at JiaJia with her side eyes. It felt like her little brother was too small at that moment. With just one slap, he could fly into a space.
"Yes. Yes. I'm done."
JiaJia replied with a naughty smile.
"But, sis..."
"What now!"
Mei Lin frowned harshly. She thought Su Ruan had finished speaking, but look like there were still some questions lingering in his head.
"You told me that XiangXiang is grandpa's favorite grandson. But...how could that happen? Does dad have a mistress?"

Su Ruan's curiosity was answered by a cushion thrown right at his face by Mei Lin.

Su Ruan protested while stroking his face. Now he knew that his big sister's energy was as strong as a man's.

Mei Lin explained to her younger brother who has a curiosity as high as Mount Everest. But, she couldn't blame Su Ruan. He had no memory of what happened thirteen years ago. Including the story of XiangXiang.

Now it was Su Ruan's turn to glance at Mei Lin.
"Because you live with Papa and Mama. How could you know all that?"
Mei Lin replied. Her eyes stared at Su Ruan's face with sadness. Despite his younger brother's annoying behavior, there is something she and her family are hiding from him. "Haaa... The Pei family is not as grand as one might think..." It is full of revenge, betrayal and jealousy.
"Did JiaJia know about that?"
Mei Lin shook her head. JiaJia stayed with her after XiangXiang and Jun returned to their uncle's arms.
"Sis may I ask you something?"
Su Ruan asked enthusiastically. Mei Lin nodded. She knew that even if she refused, Su Ruan would still ask about the question that was lingering in his head.
"Is he your first love?"
Su Ruan whispered while pointing at Jun with his mouth, provoking Mei Lin's anger once more. Mei Lin gave Su Ruan a deadly glare. She felt like pulling Su Ruan's lips at that moment. Su Ruan gave Mei Lin a mischievous smile as he slowly walked away. Nerves wracking indeed.
