Chapter 211 – New Member Joins, Arad Renji: Another Day, Another 80,000 Push!

[Ding! New member successfully invited. Adding member to group.]

[Arad Renji, Valoran Renji, Super God Renji, One-Punch Renji, Akame ga Kill Renji, Marvel Renji, American Horror Renji, Resident Evil Renji have joined the chat.]

Seven new members!?

And this time, their worlds' power levels were insane. Except for the Akame and American Horror worlds, the other five were straight-up terrifying.

Arad Renji: [Yo, good morning, everyone. So I've got a golden finger too, huh?]

Valoran Renji: [This shared-ability thing is interesting, but Kamui and Flying Thunder God don't seem to work. Can't break space at all.]

One-Punch Renji: [Yeah, same here. Your worlds' spatial barriers are way too strong. Arad's probably the same. I can't break through either. By the way, what's with this "One-Punch" power? Oh, and I've also got Academy City here.]

Naruto Renji: [Wait, what!? You've got both One-Punch and Academy City? That's terrifying!]

One-Punch alone was bad enough — add in Academy City's level of insanity, and it was nightmarish.

Akame Renji: [Based on that logic, my world's got Muzan and the Demon Slayer Corps. Let me introduce myself first. I'm the king of the western empire — the one that never appeared in the story. East of me is the Akame Empire, south is where Muzan and the Demon Slayers are. The rest is unexplored.]

Pirate Renji: [Oh? A king, huh?]

Akame Renji: [Yeah, but don't get the wrong idea. I don't have a harem of three thousand concubines. When I took the throne, the empire was in chaos, civil war everywhere — just like Esdeath's empire. I only recently stabilized things.]

They were all versions of the same person. Everyone knew exactly what that meant.

When he fought for the throne, his brothers all rebelled, plunging the empire into civil war that nearly destroyed it.

Renji won, but the aftermath left his nation in ruins. He had no time — or patience — for indulgence.

Arad Renji: [Then I'll go next. I guess I'm an adventurer — not the kind you're thinking of, though. I mostly take jobs and make side money.]

Bleach Renji: [Not gonna drop 500 balls for Seria?]

Arad Renji: [Don't even mention it. I'm staying far away from Helder's attention, thanks.]

The Arad world was dangerous, but there were still places to hide.

Valoran Renji: [At least you're better off than me. I'm stuck in Noxus's Death Arena — yeah, the same one Xin Zhao fought in!]

He was beyond done.

He'd tried using Kamui to teleport out, but the space here was impenetrable. The spatial density was absurd.

One-Punch Renji: [That's rough. I've got it better — my neighbor's a bald guy, you know what that means?]

Daily Renji: [Wait… you live next door to Saitama? Man, you must be broke.]

Saitama's place was the definition of poverty — deep suburbs, nowhere near the city.

One-Punch Renji: [True, I'm broke, but it's safe. Having Saitama next door isn't bad protection, and we get along fine.]

Marvel Renji: [I opened a small bar in my world. Nothing much happening so far.]

Arad Renji: [So you gave up?]

Marvel Renji: [Pretty much. What else can I do? No superpowers, no fancy bloodline. I'm just waiting to see if Thanos's snap kills me.]

Saving the world? That's superhero business.

He was just a normal man.

American Horror Renji: [My world's basically a mash-up of every American horror movie — Haddonfield, Elm Street, Crystal Lake, the Nun, Thomas Hewitt… all of them. Not sure if Final Destination exists yet.]

Resident Evil Renji: [Damn! No Umbrella Corporation?]

American Horror Renji: [Nah, that'd make it sci-fi, not horror.]

Naruto Renji: [What do you even do there? Why not just leave America altogether?]

American Horror Renji: [I'm a con-artist exorcist. Make money off fake blessings.]

Zombie Renji: [You've got balls!]

Living in a horror world and scamming people for a living? That was insane.

American Horror Renji: [I'm not stupid. I was born with a sixth sense. When I feel danger, I run — I'm not one of those horror movie idiots who goes to "check the noise."]

Knowing the tropes kept him alive.

Super God Renji: [Guys, help me!]

HK Movie Renji: [What happened!?]

He'd been quiet the whole time — then suddenly panicked.

Naruto Renji: [You're in Tianhe City, right? Can't you use your powers to escape?]

They wanted to help, but the worlds were sealed off.

Super God Renji: [I'm not in Tianhe. I'm twenty-eight thousand years before the main story. I'm in Hua Ye's era… and I'm a prisoner.]

He'd been sucked into a temporal wormhole and dropped in the wrong era. Without angelic traits, he was immediately arrested as a criminal.

Hua Ye had been curious how such a frail human opened a time rift — then handed him off to Sumari.

Sumari wasn't a researcher. He'd probably toss him to the labs as a test subject.

No way was Renji letting that happen.

After hearing his situation, everyone went silent.

Twenty-eight thousand years before the plot? That was a nightmare setup.

His shared immortality meant he could live forever — which also meant endless experiments. And when Keisha eventually overthrew Hua Ye, would she spare a human male left behind? No one could say.

And with such a massive time gap, no one knew when this even was.

Naruto Renji: [Group, do your thing! What about his newbie reward?]

They couldn't rescue him — so the chat system had to.

Seven new members joined. Surely that meant a draw event.

American Horror Renji: [Wait, we can draw rewards?]

[Ding! Welcome new members. Each member receives one lottery draw.]

Naruto Renji: [The draws can give you world-specific treasures. Try it out!]

Marvel Renji: [Alright, I'm in.]

He might've been slacking off, but if the right item dropped, he'd be unstoppable.

[Ding! Lottery results: Super Soldier Serum + Blueprint (Marvel), Sun Breathing (Akame), Necromancy (American Horror), Gen-0.5 God-Body Research Files (Super God), Gale Sword Technique (Valoran), Perfect Ghost Arm (Arad), Psychokinesis (One-Punch).]

One-Punch Renji: [Psychokinesis, huh? Fubuki and Tatsumaki use that. Too bad it's not Saitama's limiter removal. I wouldn't mind going bald for that.]

Still, it wasn't bad.

Resident Evil Renji: [Speaking of the serum — anyone want T-Virus samples? Perfect strain!]

Marvel Renji: [Hell yes. Send it over for testing.]

Resident Evil Renji: [Sure. I'll have Red Queen analyze it. With your serum formula and our T-Virus, we'll crack it in no time.]

He sent the serum data to the Resident Evil world. In return, all seven Renjis received the perfected T-Virus in their inventory.

Akame Renji: [Too bad there's no Teigu drop, but Sun Breathing's nice.]

He paused, realizing something strange.

Akame Renji: [Wait… my body feels different. I'm just a normal human, but I feel stronger!]

Something was definitely off.

Super God Renji: [Yeah, same here. My body's enhanced, but I didn't even use the T-Virus yet.]

Naruto Renji: [That's the passive Eight Gates we share. Permanent body boost — almost near Seventh Gate level.]

Incredible. Their speed, stamina, and strength had skyrocketed.

Daily Renji: [How's everyone else feeling?]

Valoran Renji: [I've become the Wind Man incarnate. Once I master this, I'll make you all Wind Men too!]

Arad Renji: [My arm looks normal but has the traits of a ghost arm. Does that make me a Ghost Swordsman now? Who do I even go to for a class change?]

Of course, this wasn't a game. But if he didn't "change class," what was next — signing a Ghost God contract like Jieg?

He still needed time to get used to it.

American Horror Renji: [My necromancy's basically summoning. Not bad — I'll train with it. At least now I'm not a fraud anymore.]

Necromancy covered a lot — curses, black magic, rituals. He'd need study, but it was power.

And combined with the shared Eight Gates and T-Virus boosts, he finally had a way to survive his horror world.

Super God Renji: [Damn… they gave me research data instead of power.]

Naruto Renji: [Hold on. The first-generation God-Body was just ten times normal human capacity, right? So half-gen gives five times. Add the T-Virus and Eight Gates… you're stronger than that already!]

Pirate Renji: [So a God-Body's basically a super-soldier?]

Super God Renji: [Exactly. Different civilizations, same concept. Ours just sounds cooler.]

Naruto Renji: [Then you're fine. Seven Gates alone outclass a 0.5-gen God-Body. You'll grow faster in that timeline anyway.]

Super God Renji: [True. I'll lay low for now. If changing fate gives rewards, I'll wait for my chance.]

He'd thought of running, but for now, staying put was safer.

Arad Renji: [Changing fate, huh? Then I'll go do some missions. Catch you guys later.]

— Moonlight Tavern —

Having just injected the T-Virus, Renji leaned back at the counter.

"Sosia, pour me a drink."

"Adventurer boy, heading out on a mission again?"

Sosia set a glass of red wine before Renji, curiosity flickering in her emerald eyes.

Renji was a regular at her tavern — the self-proclaimed adventurer who only ever took on minor errands: helping old ladies buy vegetables, running deliveries, repairing fences.

Everyone in the Moonlight Tavern knew about that odd young man.

At this time, "adventurers" were a new and barely defined thing. Renji's self-title amused people until they heard his famous retort: [Can an adventurer's work ever be small?]

The phrase had turned into a local joke, and laughter always followed whenever someone mentioned his name.

"Haha, Renji! What quest are you doing this time? I'm heading out for a few days — mind watching my kid?"

Joseph, half-drunk, grinned broadly.

"Please, Joseph, I'm not taking low-rank jobs anymore."

Renji pushed him aside with a helpless sigh.

Starting today, he intended to show everyone he was no longer the same man.

"Don't be reckless, Renji. It's dangerous outside," Joseph warned, his tone sobering. The mockery faded — concern remained.

Across Arad, plants and beasts had begun mutating in strange ways, attacking humans without reason. Even professional adventurers moved carefully.

If Renji stormed out in frustration, he might never come back.

Another patron added, "He's right. You'd better stay in the city."

But Renji only smiled. "Joseph, I've decided. No one can stop a real man from seeking adventure."

He downed the wine Sosia had poured him.

If he didn't have his golden finger — the chat group — he'd never dare this. He'd once trained as a fighter, but talent had failed him.

Now, with shared powers from other worlds, staying ordinary was no longer acceptable.

"Spoken like a fool … but a brave one," Sosia murmured. She admired his courage even as she pitied it.

Joseph chuckled. "Well, I can't stop you. Just come back alive, alright?"

Renji nodded. "I will."

"What kind of mission is it?" Sosia asked, placing another glass before him. "This one's on the house."

"Investigating the strange happenings in Grand Forest."

That wiped the smile from her face.

The name alone meant danger.

The forest's magic circle had been failing, strange energies corrupting its creatures. Rumors whispered of an ancient calamity stirring underground.

"Grand Forest?" Sosia frowned. "Even if you reach it, you won't get past the barrier."

"The barrier's weakening," Renji explained. "I'll trace the distortion through the cracks."

She sighed — she knew that look. Nothing could dissuade him now.

"Then take these," Sosia said, pushing several bottles of her finest wine toward him. "They'll restore your strength when you're hurt."

Renji grinned. "Thanks. I won't refuse free drinks."

Joseph whistled. "Hey, Sosia! Not fair! Pretty boys get free booze now?"

The tavern burst into laughter.

Sosia smirked. "Renji's chasing a dangerous story, not flirting with me. Don't get jealous."

"I'm not jealous!" Joseph protested — and was immediately drowned out by more laughter.

Renji finished his drink, stood up, and adjusted his coat. "I'll bring back whatever news I can."

Sosia rested her chin on her hand, her gaze softening as she watched him leave. He really had changed overnight.

Outside, Renji went straight to the forge. "Uncle Linnas, you got any spare swords?"

"Didn't you say you were building steel gauntlets?" the blacksmith replied with a raised brow.

"I've changed paths. Going the sword route now."

Linnas blinked, then grinned. "Long sword, huh? I've got one for you. You taking a job?"

"Yeah. Heading to Grand Forest."

The hammer froze mid-swing. Then the blacksmith slowly lifted his head and gave Renji a thumbs-up. "Bold! Be careful, though — even goblins have gone rabid lately."

Renji smiled. "I've got enough saved up. Give me something better this time."

Linnas rummaged through a pile of weapons, pulling out a crimson-bladed katana. "This one's yours. Akiha-blade. Treat her like a lover."

He waved off the money. "Consider it a gift. You were my apprentice once, after all."

Renji took the blade with both hands. "Thanks, Uncle."

The crimson edge shimmered faintly in the forge light — a promise of danger, of destiny, and of the road ahead.
