Through the wide halls of the academy, a blonde haired boy with blue eyes who also had an uninteresting physique walked.
His steps were hurried, while he desperately tried to hide his fear and anxiety. His eyes scanned his surroundings as multiple other students tried talking to him, even though he refused.
He entered a large room with round tables and benches, enough for over two hundred people.
He looked around attentively before a voice struck through his body.
"Hey Ayaka, over here!" The boy turned to where the voice had come from.
In a table, no different than the others, sat three people. A girl with pink hair and green eyes waved at Ayaka with a bright smile.
Ayaka smiled and hurried over to the table as the girl sat down.
"Good afternoon, everyone." Ayaka spoke, his voice cheerful.
"Hi!" The girl from before spoke. She clung onto Ayaka's hand as he sat down.
"Calm down, Liz... you're going to break his arm." A boy with turquoise hair and eyes of the same colour spoke.
Both Ayaks and Liz looked at the boy.
"You're the one to talk, Haruto." Liz said, her voice teasing the boy.
Haruto smiled nervously as he looked down at his hand. A short girl with purple hair and orange eyes sat, her arms around Haruto's.
"Mind introducing her, Haruto?" Ayaka said, also teasing him.
Haruto sighed as he looked back at the girl and nodded. She nodded and stood up.
"H-hi!" She stuttered slightly. "M-my name is Dolores Tenkan... it's nice to meet you!!" She bowed her head, her voice nervous.
Ayaka and Liz looked at each other and smirked.
"So... Dolores," Liz spoke. "How long have you known Haruto for?"
"S-since our first day here." Dolores replied.
"And what do you see in him?" Ayaka asked.
"W-well..." Dolores stuttered. "I-I think he's really kind, humble, friendly and..." she blushed. "Kinda handsome?"
Haruto blushed slightly as Liz and Ayaka looked at each other with a satisfied grin.
"Oh? I smell love in the air~, " Liz teased the two. "How did you two meet?"
Haruto and Dolores looked at each other.
"Well..." Haruto began.
*****
Haruto walked through the garden of the academy as the setting sun's light shone on him.
He stopped and let out a sigh. 'Wonder what the others are up to.' He thought as he resumed his walk.
The birds chirped, students looked at him with awe and envy, and others enjoyed themselves, a typical evening.
He stopped at the fountain where the statues of six people were built with water emerging from the tips of their heads.
'The first generation of the great six heroes...' Haruto looked at the statues before clenching his fist. 'You ruined it for the rest of us!'
Haruto wanted to destroy these statues. The statues that depicted what he was supposed to be. The ones that showed Haruto his destiny, which he didn't accept.
'I will, no... must get back to Japan. No matter what it takes!' He told himself, his eyes burning bright with determination.
Before he could do anything else, the sound of a girl screaming rung through Haruto's ears.
He turned and hurried to where the scream had come from before it was too late.
There, he found a boy tightly grabbing a short, purple haired girl with pony tails and orange eyes. She tried to pull her hand away to no avail.
"Let go of me, Dante!" She cried. The boy had orange haired hair and eyes of the same colour.
He grit his teeth and pulled harder on the poor girl's gentle hand.
"No!" He protested. "Not until you hear me out, Dolly!"
"What's going on here?" Haruto asked, trying to calm the two.
They looked at him, and a small smile came over the girl's face.
"It's none of your business, dork." The boy muttered and turned back to the girl.
"Actually, it is." Haruto replied, his voice firm. "I can't ignore an innocent girl when she's in trouble."
Dante looked back at Haruto, finally letting go of the girl's hand.
"Listen here, dork." Dante grabbed Haruto by his collar. "Don't poke your glasses into other people's conversations, especially mine. I don't mind making you need to use glass crutches."
(At the time, using glass crutches was used as a temporary method to treat people who could not walk properly. This special type of glass was called 'Jing ', and this was imbued with Mana to increase durability.
This special type of glass would break under high pressure. But embedding Mana into it would only show cracks. The less these cracks appear, the healthier the use is)
"Are you alright?" Haruto ignored Dante and walked towards the girl and placed his hand on her head.
"I-I'm fine..." The girl stuttered as she slightly blushed.
"I was talking to you, moron!" Dante said as he rushed towards Haruto.
Haruto let out a sigh and held Dante's hand before countering with a punch to the face.
Dante fell to the ground, clutching his face in pain as a trail of blood flowed down his hand.
"Sorry," Haruto said. "I don't speak gorilla." He turned around and placed his hand on the girl's shoulder. "What's your name?"
"I-it's Dolores Tenkan." She replied, embarrassed.
Haruto smiled. "Let's take you to the nurse." He turned to face Dante who was still on the ground. "I suggest you seek medical advice."
He conjured a card and handed it to Dante.
"What's this?" Dante asked in an annoyed voice.
"The address of a vet."

"That was brutal." Ayaka said as he saw a waiter approaching thier table holding a few plates. "Did you order food already?"
"Yes and yes." Haruto replied as the waiter kept a few plates on the table.
As the waiter walked away, Haruto took one look at the plates and said:
"Aw. They forgot my siren tail." Both Liz and Ayaka fell silent as Dolores stood up.
"I-I'll tell them..." she said and walked towards the counter.
"What's up?"
