Slowly raising his hands, Mister Sinister felt the powerful force brewing within him, a twisted and hideous smile spreading across his face. With a roar that echoed through the air, Mister Sinister's body burned with dark red illusory flames. His form vaguely transformed into a ferocious dark red phoenix that instantly appeared in front of Charles and grabbed him with incredible force.
At this moment, Selene was about to rush forward to rescue her master's friend, but she saw another white figure suddenly appear beside Charles. Raising his hands with deliberate grace, he released an illusory flame containing a tremendous amount of life force. Mixed with a massive amount of mental power, it transformed into a brilliant shield that completely blocked Mister Sinister from harming Charles in any way.
Looking up, Charles gazed at Jean Grey, who was floating beside him in a white tight-fitting dress. He felt a mixture of surprise and relief as he spoke. "Jean, you are finally back to normal and yourself again."
Looking at Charles with visible shame, Jean spoke to him with evident emotion. "Charles, I am deeply sorry. I apologize for everything that has transpired. I..."
Shaking his head gently, Charles reached out and grasped Jean's hand firmly. He spoke to her with warmth and conviction. "No, Jean, I should be the one who is sorry to you. But I believe whether it is you or the rest of us, we are all a family unit. We will forgive one another, will we not? That is what family does."
As soon as Charles finished speaking, Tony immediately interjected urgently. "Where is Sebastian? Where is Sebastian? Why did he not come out with you? What happened to him?"
Jean wanted to answer Tony's frantic questions, but the red crystal between Mister Sinister's eyebrows suddenly shot out a black ray of tremendous power. This ray instantly destroyed Jean's mental defenses and her protective barriers. At the same time, Mister Sinister pounced on Jean with vicious intent, grabbing her neck and head with both hands. The two of them rushed directly toward the building behind them, broke through its concrete walls, crashed upward through multiple levels, and rushed into the sky from the roof of the building. They continued ascending as if they were going straight into the upper atmosphere and beyond.
"Jean Grey, is the Phoenix Force not a burden to you? Give me all your power now!" Mister Sinister demanded as they ascended into the heavens.
As Mister Sinister finished his words, the Phoenix Force within Jean gradually began to transform into fiery particles of brilliant light. These particles gradually flowed and transferred into Mister Sinister's body with increasing intensity.
The Phoenix Force had split into three distinct and separate portions. Jean Grey received the largest and most essential portion of the Phoenix Force. This portion represented the power of life itself and a significant portion of the power of pure creation. This transformed her into the White Phoenix of Life, resplendent and radiant with healing and creative power.
Mister Sinister received the power of destruction that existed within the Phoenix Force. This portion transformed him into the Black Phoenix of pure and absolute destruction, dark and menacing in its power and presence.
As for Jean Grey's clone, it received the will of the Phoenix Force, as well as a significant portion of life force and a large measure of the power of creation. The clone possessed the savage and uncontrolled will of a wild beast. The savage and primal will of the Phoenix Force completely replaced the clone's own consciousness, which had never truly developed. The clone became a body completely controlled by the ancient and powerful will of the Phoenix Force itself.
At this point, Mister Sinister clearly sensed that while the Phoenix Force within him was not the most potent of the three divisions, the power of destruction itself was immensely powerful and brimming with aggressive potential. Without hesitation or delay, he immediately attacked Jean Grey with fierce determination. His intention was clear—to obtain the White Phoenix Force that remained within her body and add its power to his own.
However, considering that Jean Grey retained a much greater amount of the Phoenix Force within her, Mister Sinister's plan to absorb it entirely was an aspiration that remained far-fetched and nearly impossible to achieve.
"Ouch!" A phantom White Phoenix materialized dramatically behind Jean Grey, its form magnificent and powerful. It suppressed the Dark Phoenix that hovered behind Mister Sinister, effectively blocking his attempts to absorb the Phoenix Force within her. The White Phoenix unleashed a massive force that struck Mister Sinister head-on with tremendous impact, sending him flying backward and plummeting toward the ground below.
Jean Grey refused to allow Mister Sinister to escape or recover. Having regained full consciousness and clarity of mind, she understood completely that all that had transpired was part of Mister Sinister's manipulative scheme. Furthermore, knowing all that he had done to her and to those she cared about, she had absolutely no intention of letting the man who had deceived her and threatened her loved ones escape unpunished.
Jean Grey soared into the air with purpose and determination, chasing after Mister Sinister relentlessly. The Phoenix Force within her seemed to transform into a magnificent pair of flaming wings that trailed brilliantly out from either side of her back, leaving trails of ethereal fire in her wake.
Seeing Mister Sinister gradually slowing down in his descent, Jean Grey immediately waved her hand with controlled fury and unleashed a powerful blast of fiery energy. The blast struck him head-on with devastating force, sending him plummeting directly into the abandoned factory structure far below. Simultaneously, Jean Grey hovered motionless in the mid-air above him, raising both her hands with deliberate intent. Her Omega-level mutant telekinesis surged with tremendous power, causing the ground below to suddenly contract and shift inward. The earth contracted toward Mister Sinister's broken form with tremendous force and momentum.
Boom! Like a violent earthquake, the ground shook with tremendous intensity and power.
At that critical moment, a jet of black energy shot out suddenly from beneath the ground, hurtling directly toward Jean Grey with menacing force and velocity.
Seeing this counterattack approaching rapidly, Jean Grey's eyes transformed completely white with brilliant luminescence. Two powerful white beams emanated from her eyes, colliding head-on with the dark beam in spectacular fashion. The two energies clashed violently in mid-air, but ultimately, Jean Grey's power surpassed Mister Sinister's considerably. This was not only due to the abundance of the Phoenix Force within her, but also because she was an Omega-level mutant whose natural capabilities were far superior to Mister Sinister's artificially enhanced abilities.
It seemed quite clear that Jean Grey would undoubtedly win this battle and emerge victorious.
But just as Jean Grey's unleashed power gradually overwhelmed Mister Sinister's defenses and she was falling toward the ground, a fiery red shadow suddenly struck at breakneck speed with tremendous force. This shadow slammed into Jean Grey violently from the side. Simultaneously, a burst of flames filled with a sense of primal rage and fury exploded through Jean Grey's body, sending her flying backward and crashing violently into a large metal oil tank behind her. The impact erupted in a tremendous and violent explosion that sent debris and flames scattering everywhere.
BANG! The explosion echoed across the landscape with tremendous force.
Mister Sinister, sensing the changes occurring outside the ground, immediately burst through the earth and soil. He looked at the Jean Grey clone hovering in mid-air, emitting a series of incomprehensible growls, hisses, and primal screams. He chose not to approach immediately, but instead carefully appraised the situation before smiling with calculated confidence and flying toward it with intent.
"Heh, it seems you have gained considerable power yourself. I wonder if you still remember me?" Mister Sinister called out.
Hearing Mister Sinister's words, the Red Phoenix suddenly turned and swung its claws toward him with savage force. A crimson wave of powerful and savage energy emanated from it with wild intensity, sending Mister Sinister back several steps in response. Clearly, in the Red Phoenix's eyes, there was no difference between Mister Sinister and Jean Grey. They were both thieves who had stolen and attempted to control its power.
