Chapter 266 - Chapter 266: Sign a Contract

Countless shadows emanated from the Black Queen like sharp claws, tearing at the silvery-white ropes of mist.

Sebastian, observing the Black Queen's efforts, did not hesitate any longer. With a flick of his wand, he cast the complete Patronus spell.

"Expecto Patronus!"

Silvery-white mist erupted from his wand's tip, quickly forming into the shape of a silvery-white raven. Then a brilliant light burst forth from Sebastian's Patronus, its form continuously expanding until it transformed into a giant bird of pure light. The massive creature flapped its wings and soared upward, hovering above Sebastian's head and looking down at the Black Queen.

Without hesitation, the silver-white phoenix's golden eyes unleashed two beams of photon energy that Sebastian knew quite well. These beams were extremely condensed and precise, yet they possessed unparalleled destructive power. Wherever the beams passed, space warped and collapsed. Clearly, the intensity of this subspace could not withstand the photon energy fired by Sebastian's Patronus.

The two beams instantly destroyed all the shadows blocking their path, piercing through the Black Queen's left arm and shoulder. Half of her body was annihilated instantly, turning to nothing.

However, a large amount of shadows immediately converged on the Black Queen's injured area. Her body regenerated and returned to its original state in a short time. Even after her body was restored, the Black Queen's expression showed clear concern. Among her mutant abilities was one of damage immunity.

This damage immunity ability differed from the self-healing abilities of Wolverine Logan or Deadpool Wade. The Black Queen's ability allowed her to ignore many attacks without experiencing pain or negative status effects. Even if she was shattered to a molecular state, she could recover within a certain period of time.

Logically, the Black Queen should have been able to ignore Sebastian's Patronus attacks.

However, Sebastian's Patronus possessed power that was far too pure—the purest force of light itself. When it affected the Black Queen, it not only greatly suppressed her dark attributes and strength, but also interfered with her damage immunity. This meant there was a genuine possibility that Sebastian's Patronus could actually kill the Black Queen, a realization that forced her to take him seriously.

While completely annihilating the ropes of light mist, the Black Queen spoke to Sebastian. "What kind of power is that?"

"A very pure form of white magic," Sebastian replied.

"Can white magic truly possess such destructive lethality? It is difficult to believe."

Sebastian gently shook his wand, and the Patronus understood his intention. It approached the Black Queen slightly while Sebastian studied her carefully. "There are many forms of magic in this world. White magic can certainly be powerful. There is no conflict between the two."

"Ever since magic in this world inexplicably disappeared, I have known fewer and fewer magicians. I do not know what happened to this realm, but I have survived through my long life. I also wished to teach others magic, but whenever I considered it, I felt an unimaginable sense of threat. That sensation of death from my childhood would return. You, however, seem different from me. You can actually accept apprentices and teach magic in this world. I do not understand what difference exists between us. Is it because you were born in another universe?"

"After saying so much, if I do not deserve to fight with you properly and allow you to prepare yourself, would that not be ungentlemanly?"

Upon hearing this, the Black Queen's face froze. She had suddenly brought up these topics to distract Sebastian while preparing her next counterattack and escape attempt. She had not expected him to reveal her plan so directly.

However, for the Black Queen, in her long life, such failures or negative emotions would never affect her. She looked at Sebastian and smiled suddenly. "I admit I cannot compete with your magic. You can defeat me, but it is impossible for you to kill me. You cannot deny that, can you?"

Listening to her words, Sebastian chuckled. "Sign a soul contract with me and submit to me completely. My school requires a black magician like you. This is the opportunity I offer you. Otherwise, you will remain here forever."

The Black Queen looked at Sebastian and suddenly sneered. "This is truly the most amusing joke I have heard since the fall of Rome. Never, never has anyone dared to speak such words to me. You wish me to become your slave? This is genuinely the most ridiculous statement I have ever encountered."

"You possess confidence in saying these things only because you believe I cannot do anything to you, correct?"

"So what?"

"Then allow me to try and see if I can defeat you."

With a confident smile, the Black Queen said to Sebastian, "Before that, you must first capture me."

As soon as she finished speaking, the Black Queen's body instantly transformed into shadows, preparing to disappear into the void.

But at that moment, a brilliant blue light emanated from Sebastian's hand. The Black Queen, who was attempting to escape into the void, was stopped as if striking an invisible barrier. She stared at the completely sealed space and exclaimed in disbelief, "How is this possible? How could you seal space itself?"

"As I have stated before, there are countless forms of magic in this world, and you cannot possibly know them all. While you possess spatial abilities, they are useless when space is sealed."

With a fierce grit of her teeth, the Black Queen declared, "Even if I cannot leave here, you cannot capture me!"

Her body instantly exploded into countless shadows, spreading in all directions.

But before the shadows could completely disperse, dark red magic patterns and runes appeared on Sebastian's right hand. He raised his wand and waved it at the location where the Black Queen had split apart. A dark red bolt shot out, rippling black and red ether particles that directly restored the Black Queen from her shadow form back to human shape. She looked at Sebastian with confusion.

"What is this power? The force that sealed space, and this power that changes my abilities—such magic cannot exist in this world!"

"Of course not in this world, but I come from another world, do I not?" A dark green light emanated from Sebastian's wand, striking the now-immobilized Black Queen. She instantly let out a painful cry as her power rapidly faded and dissipated. She plummeted to the ground of the subspace, struggling without success.

After Sebastian drew upon the power of both the Space Stone and the Reality Stone, most of the Black Queen's abilities were temporarily suppressed. Now, she possessed no more power than an ordinary human woman.
