Lin Xu turned around and left Mo Ying's study, straight to her quarters where the kids and Yan Mei were already packed and ready to leave. She wasn't interested in any of this anymore. She was tired, she had forgotten why on earth she stayed single all those years.
She loved Mo Ying, yes, but them being together was going to cost her time, energy, and so much drama. She wasn't cut out for any of it. She just wanted a peaceful life with her children, and Mo Ying ended up tagging along. If he knows he can't give her that peaceful life, then he should forget about it. She wasn't some tool he could put in his possession. She had her own mind, her own rights, and her own life to live.
Lin Xu turned away from the study and walked back toward her quarters, her steps steady and firm. She didn't rush. She didn't look back. Every breath she took felt heavy, as if the entire mansion pressed down on her shoulders... but she did not bend.
