MGSFV?! Chapter 525: Little Senti, Whom No One Can Ever Fool; Kiana's Overtime on the Moon

[If I Venmo that guy 50 bucks for a KFC bucket and ask him to name me a general of the Qin Empire, is it still in time? (doge)]

[If you actually sent money, go install the national anti-fraud app now (speechless)]

[The one up front makes a fair point.]

[...]

Obviously, those comments were just players joking around—expressing their shock that miHoYo actually handed out the Herrscher of Origin just for finishing the main story.

No one actually believed Qin Shi Huang was in the stream chat.

But Elysia still offered a word of caution.

"Joking around is fine, but please never send money to strangers. If someone asks for a transfer or payment, it's 100% an online scam."

[Don't worry, Miss Fairy! I've watched "Herrscher of Sentience's Anti-Fraud Classroom" like five times.]

[Oh, I remember that! That was an old educational animation by miHoYo. But I have a question...]

[What?]

[Is it really effective to learn about 'online fraud' from the Herrscher of Sentience? (doge)]

[???]

Some sent question marks. Others considered it, then replied:

[Of course. Uh... I mean, that video was pretty practical. ()]

[What are you all implying!!]

[Exactly! This is the anti-scam advice of the lady who "no one can ever fool"! Just say "yes, yes, yes" and be done with it.]

[...]

...

After some lively discussion, a string of ellipses quietly floated by in the corner of the stream chat—making everyone feel as though that classic voice line was echoing in their ears...

"What is wrong with all of you?!"

Hokuto: Whatever, let's wait until the new chapter drops. Then they'll understand the Herrscher of Sentience's true strength.

Hokuto: They think it's a joke when we say Senti can go toe-to-toe with Kevin. But when she actually does it and blows their minds—that'll be even better.

Little Senti: Hmm... now that you mention it, that really does sound fun. I approve.

Little Senti: Now I kinda want to see their reactions sooner (Academy Head Theresa holding a candied hawthorn.jpg)

Hokuto: Don't rush, don't rush—it'll be soon, and it'll be joyous (Academy Head Theresa sipping bitter melon juice blissfully.jpg)

Little Senti: You mistyped that (points to meme, Theresa's wise gaze.jpg)

Yes, exactly.

All of the above were Hokuto and Little Sentience chatting privately while viewers were still enthusiastically commenting.

Well...

After knowing Elysia for a long time, Hokuto picked up quite a few things from her—

What kind of things? Anti-bullcrap resistance? The art of witty phrasing thanks to the "Spectacular" meme?

Let's be clear—the one who first used the "spectacular" meme was Mei. Hokuto merely quoted it. He refuses to take the blame for that one.

...Which is actually true.

But if someone else heard that excuse, they'd probably say, "Wait, there's actually a mess that isn't your fault?"

???

Well yeah, obviously. After all, he's not Otto.

Ahem.

Anyway, what it means is: Hokuto also picked up a handy little skill from Elysia—

Being able to accurately spot key people's comments in a sea of stream chat.

So, when he saw Little Sentience send several ellipses in a row, he naturally reached out and started chatting with her.

Hence the conversation above.

Hokuto: Yep, exactly.

Little Senti: Exactly what?

Hokuto: I didn't mistype earlier. It'll be soon. And it'll be joyous.

Little Senti: Huh?

Even now, Little Sentience still had that untouched kind of purity.

Which made Hokuto feel... kinda guilty.

Hokuto: ...

Hokuto: I'm done talking. I just came up with a great idea—gonna improvise a surprise for this stream.

...

"All right, all right! We still have a PV left to watch."

On the other side, Elysia subtly steered the stream chat back on course.

Avoiding any deeper detours into weird territory.

[Ah! Right, right! We haven't watched the PV yet—almost forgot.]

[Let's see what the devs cooked up to tease us this time.]

[Full concentration mode~~]

Seeing the enthusiastic responses in chat...

Elysia was about to click on the PV.

"Ahem."

But...

Sliick—a faint sound from outside the stream area made her pause.

Hm?

A faint thought crossed her mind, and she turned slightly, glancing sideways toward the edge of the livestream zone.

There, she saw Hokuto standing in a well-placed spot, making a few simple gestures toward her, as well as toward Mei and Kiana, who had also noticed.

Up, down, left, right, forward, back...

Frankly, most people wouldn't be able to make sense of it.

But...

Mei and Kiana were veteran staffers under Hokuto by now. After working together for so long, there was a level of unspoken understanding.

Elysia was similar—though in her case, she was never a "normal" person to begin with.

So...

The three of them actually understood Hokuto's meaning.

"Hmm... Let's take a one-hour break from the stream. We'll watch the PV together after that."

Elysia blinked and—even more impressively—translated Hokuto's intent perfectly into words.

[A break?]

[Well, we've been streaming for a while. A break makes sense. Still, the sudden shift right after saying we'd watch the PV is a bit abrupt.]

[That had to be the director outside signaling, right?]

Sharp-eyed viewers had already analyzed from Elysia's glance that an external signal prompted the sudden shift.

And they were right.

So Elysia replied straightforwardly:

"Yep, maybe Mr. 'Otto' has something he wants to discuss with us."

"So just an hour—please be patient and wait a little bit, everyone."

[Okay, okay.]

[Perfect time to order food.]

[88888]

Anyway, if they really wanted to watch the PV, it was right there—they could just click it themselves.

Still, watching it together with Miss Fairy felt more special.

...

So Elysia paused the stream and stepped out with Kiana and Mei.

Rita, ever understanding, swapped the miHoYo official stream to continuous animated short playback—so viewers wouldn't feel lonely during the break.

[?????]

[Can we talk this out—why the emotional damage?!]

[My heart says run, but my eyes won't look away.]

[乆乆乆乆乆]

See? "Highly effective." The players were instantly wide awake, more energetic than ever ()

Setting aside that "small" interlude—

Hokuto had already begun speaking with Elysia and the others.

"I want Kiana to do something..."

Blunt and direct.

"Kiana?" *2

"Me?"

"Yeah. Listen—I had Vill-V help supervise a big project some time ago, remember?"

"Oh yeah." Kiana nodded. "I recall that."

"I know about it too." Elysia also nodded. "That project began after the Truth chapter ended, right? Just recently finished, if I'm not wrong?"

"You're pretty informed—did Vill-V mention it?"

Hokuto paused, then said, "Never mind, doesn't matter. What matters is..."

He gradually laid out his plan.

The others listened closely, expressions shifting subtly from time to time—no telling exactly what Hokuto was saying.

"..."

...

Time passed quietly.

An hour flew by.

Elysia and Mei returned to the stream and resumed their seats. Yes—only Elysia and Mei. Kiana was missing.

Players who had taken a break—grabbed snacks or drinks—noticed too.

[Where's Kiana? Tired? Did she clock out early?]

[Kiana: Story's over and you still want me on overtime?]

[Not even the moon can force me to work overtime!!]

[Be precise—why would Kiana be working overtime on the moon of all places?]

[Besides, knowing her personality, the moon is so barren (mainly no internet, no noodles)—she'd be completely miserable if made to work there ()]

"Hahaha~ Seems like everyone came back from the break with even more energy."

Elysia chuckled after observing the stream chat for a bit.

She could still laugh so brightly.

But beside her, Mei's expression noticeably shifted the moment she saw players joking about Kiana working overtime on the moon.

"So, let's not drag it out. While the mood's great, let's watch that PV we didn't get to earlier."

She paused slightly—then added:

"And after the PV, we'll also have a special 'surprise' segment exclusive to today's stream. Something for everyone to look forward to."

[A surprise segment? Exclusive to this stream?]

[What could it be...]

Before the curious players could flood the chat with questions—

Elysia had already clicked to play the PV.

...

The PV began.

Anyone who was typing stopped—time to focus.

As per tradition—

The miHoYo logo flashed onscreen, then the screen gradually brightened.

A dazzling starry sky appeared—and a strange land below that mirrored the stars like a lake.

This was...

None other than the now-familiar Land of Origin.

Perfectly timed—Mei's voice echoed in everyone's ears.

"Every small and sincere wish is what allows me to keep moving forward."

Herrscher of Thunder Mei appeared onscreen, gazing up at the glittering stars—as if calling out.

And so...

There was... a response.

A pink streak of light rushed toward her from afar.

Everyone's eyes locked on it—because they all knew what that pink glow meant.

And the most brilliant part was—

On the surface, it looked like just a pink light approaching Mei. But if you looked closely at the "lake" below—it was actually a pink manta ray streaking toward her.

It reached below Mei and leapt from the ground like rising from the sea—becoming pink radiance that enveloped her.

When the glow faded—

Mei's battlesuit had changed from Herrscher of Thunder to Herrscher of Origin. In her hand, she held a pink crystal flower.

Having just seen the main story, the players immediately understood what this was.

A stylized recap of Mei's experience in the Land of Origin?

"We may have become Herrschers, but we still belong to humanity."

Mei's words matched the story—eyes closed, reflecting.

[Is this PV just a recap montage? Hmm... not impossible. Makes sense at this stage of the story.]

Actually—

Hokuto did indeed make a recap-like PV.

But this wasn't that.

Next came the change.

As Mei closed her eyes, the screen went black—then lit up again.

Now it showed Mei leaving the Land of Origin—walking beside Bronya, heading toward Kiana, who stood ready in the distance.

Kiana's voice rang out.

"My wish... is for this imperfect story to move one step closer to perfection."

And then—

Mei extended her weapon toward her.

With the power of Origin, multiple shooting stars emerged from the depths of the Imaginary.

What happened next?

The screen shifted—without revealing the most crucial part.

Well, it's just a PV. Can't give it all away.

The point is to tease the players... cough, I mean, build anticipation.

The scene changed again.

Now, Kiana stood alone in a brand-new setting. She wasn't confused or hesitant—just walked forward with firm resolve.

As she moved, her battlesuit began to glow—changing form.

Just as the transformation reached its climax and players thought they'd finally see what Kiana would become—

The camera cheekily shifted to her hand.

All they saw was Kiana's hand reaching out... to open a door.

And that's where the PV ended.

[???] *N

[When it comes to vague teasers and hyping things up, I totally bow to miHoYo.]

That's all?

Not quite.

Hm? What else?

Time for the surprise Hokuto promised—stream-exclusive content.

A new video, right after the PV.

Not animated—but real-life footage.

Just like in the PV, only Kiana's hand could be seen—slowly pushing open a door.

And through that brief glimpse—

A vast venue came into view.

Hyperion. The Theater of Domination. The Imaginary Tree...
