Mobius's expression subtly shifted, but she quickly regained composure and continued progressing the main story.
Would she care about this?
After a segment of dialogue between Rita and Durandal,
The story returned to the normal timeline—after Durandal took Kiana away.
Kiana, jolted awake from a nightmare where she heard Mei's voice and lost control destroying Arc City, suddenly found herself in a Schicksal research facility, under "heavy" watch by Bianca alone.
Trapped, Kiana called out to Fu Hua but received no response, so she prepared to break out on her own.
However, Durandal instantly saw through her thoughts and warned Kiana: if she couldn't control the Honkai energy in her, she might as well stay—at least she wouldn't hurt others.
Then Durandal urged her to rest and left the lounge.
She contacted Otto, noting that someone who had gone through what Kiana had wouldn't possibly trust her or Schicksal.
Otto ordered that the experiments begin immediately. Any unexpected occurrences—Durandal could resolve them in her own way.
What followed was Durandal escorting Kiana to an external site for the experiment, where Kiana and Durandal clashed head-on for the first time.
But Kiana, in poor shape, was no match.
Even after barely using "Taixu Sword Heart," she was ordered to eliminate Quantum Shadows.
It felt to Kiana like punching into thin air.
...
At this point, players didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Cry—because paramecium was suffering yet again.
Laugh—because even after all she'd been through, paramecium was still adorably dumb, even getting tricked by the goofy goose.
Still, seeing Kiana like this brought comfort to players.
They admired the composed and mature "Void Drifter," but still preferred the energetic, pure-hearted paramecium.
Paramecium is the soul of Kiana.jpg
[Fact proves, Goofy Goose > Paramecium > Dumbresa. No objections, right? (wacky face)]
[Objection!! World's cutest Theresa is better than paramecium!]
[Just because Theresa still doesn't have her own short! (wacky face)]
[...]
Theresa fans in the stream had nothing to say.
And a certain Overseer Theresa who happened to walk past the stream blew her top.
["Theresa is not Dumbresa!": Once my short is out, I'll slaughter you all!!]
Hokuto had promised her—
Her highlight moment would come.
An animated short was definitely happening!!
[Yeah, when Theresa's short comes out, I'll slaughter you all!!]
[Slaughter you all +1]
[+2]
No one noticed—the one charging forward with them was Theresa herself.
Just like no one noticed, the fairy lady streaming now wasn't the one they knew.
Mobius wasn't interested in the current topic of the stream. She continued progressing the main story.
Facing seemingly endless Quantum Honkai Beasts, Kiana tried to go to the root—she shattered the void using Subspace Spear, but collapsed from exhaustion and was taken away by Durandal.
Back at the Schicksal lab, Kiana woke up upset—Durandal had broken her promise to release her if she won.
Bianca grew curious about Kiana's mastery of Fu Hua's secret technique: "Taixu Sword Qi."
Kiana, of course, didn't answer.
The conversation soured. Tension mounted.
After a while—
Kiana finally spoke.
"Why... back at St. Freya Academy, I heard so many stories about you. Everyone called you a hero. Schicksal's strongest S-rank Valkyrie... that name was my aspiration, my goal."
"But... you chose to stand with Otto."
"Do you know the truth behind it all? Do you know what experiments I went through? Do you know what he's done!?"
"Why... you're so strong... and you're not a bad person..."
"Why are you helping Schicksal?"
Each question voiced her confusion, her doubt, her rage.
They were also what the players wanted to know.
Yeah—why?
Otto had done so much evil.
Everyone knew he was a madman who'd do anything to achieve his goals.
So why?
Why would people like Rita, like Durandal, choose to side with Otto?
Choose to side with Schicksal?
Follow Otto's orders?
Facing Kiana's questions,
Durandal calmly countered,
"If not Schicksal, who will protect the billions on this planet from Honkai? You used to be a Valkyrie of Schicksal—you should know this best."
Some might mention Anti-Entropy.
But their combat strength... well, considering their Titan mechs were snapped away by the Queen with a finger... still up for debate.
For various reasons, Anti-Entropy simply couldn't match Honkai.
Durandal continued,
"This world doesn't have absolute good or evil. Only missions. And I... I fight for mine."
Kiana: "..."
Really, all Durandal had said was that she supported Schicksal.
Because in her eyes, only Schicksal could best protect humanity.
That belief came from Schicksal's centuries-long resistance against Honkai.
Otto's personal actions and Schicksal's institutional role were separate matters.
As the two fell silent—
Boom!!
A loud noise came from above. The alarm blared.
In the next moment—
A mech crashed through the ceiling between Kiana and Durandal.
No one could say if it was intentional.
But regardless—
Kiana used the chance to escape from underground.
Above ground, Kevin stood on the ruins.
Jackal reported no signs of the Herrscher of the Void.
The man with "invincible" written across his face calmly said:
"The Herrscher of the Void—I'll handle her."
Kevin closed his eyes.
The Honkai energy within a hundred miles swirled into a vortex, centering on him.
These currents varied in intensity but none reached Herrscher levels—
Until a faint turbulence flickered.
He caught it.
Kevin opened his eyes and looked toward the ruins of a distant skyscraper.
Behind a wall—
His eyes met those of a girl.
"Found her."
[100 kilometers? Terrifying! Human GPS! This is how real pros track someone!]
[Invincible-faced man. Kevin is insanely cool!!]
[It's not "written on his face," his face is made of invincibility!]
"Tch. Kevin really is strange."
Mobius muttered,
Then did the same thing Elysia would do—
Snapped a CG screenshot and posted it in the group chat.
Though fellow instant noodle lovers, that was all there was to it.
"But Kevin really is popular," she glanced at the stream.
"If they knew real-world Kevin is kinda like Kiana..."
"Hmm... Kevin and Kiana might be..."
"Could hotblooded dumbness be passed down genetically?"
Her thoughts drifted to her field of expertise.
"Now I really want to research it."
The story continued.
Back to Kiana.
That moment of eye contact deeply unsettled her—
She fled the battlefield.
Who knows how long passed.
She ran far, thinking she was safe—
When Kevin appeared before her and attacked.
Just then—
Feathers rained down.
A familiar girl to players appeared in an unbelievable way.
Kevin stared at the girl.
His icy tone softened.
"Jade Knight, Hua... long time no see."
"Kevin, stop!"
Fu Hua stood before Kiana—once more, she protected her.
Her appearance surprised Kiana and thrilled the viewers.
[Fu Hua the Immortal!! Boundless power! Fu Push-Up resurrected again!]
[Was worried about Kiana vs. Kevin—soon as I saw her, I felt at ease.]
[Shen—Zhou—Flat—Pad!!]
[Get the person above outta here and feed them to the Honkai beasts!]
The chat exploded.
Though dubbed "Shenzhou Flatpad," players' love for Fu Hua never wavered.
The Immortal's countless Fu Push-Ups had built her reliable image.
And anyone who'd used Fu Hua's battlesuits like "Shadow Knight: Moonblade" knew—
It's no wonder they called it "Fu Hua 3rd".
So when Fu Hua returned, how could players not rejoice?
Even Mobius smiled.
She didn't mind Fu Hua—
Because unlike others, Fu Hua was very easy to fool—
Hmm, easy to talk to.
Amid the joy, players focused back on the story.
Just like them,
Kiana trembled with disbelief.
"Class Pres..."
But there was no time for a tearful reunion.
Fu Hua urged quickly:
"Kiana, run. Don't look back."
"What?" Kiana didn't understand.
Fu Hua explained calmly,
"I wanted to walk with you a bit longer. But now... it's time to say goodbye."
"Class Pres, no..."
Kiana's eyes widened.
She shook her head frantically, unwilling to part.
Her feet felt like lead, unable to move.
Last time's goodbye had already hurt so much—
Regret, pain—she still hadn't let go.
And now, again?
Kiana knew this time it might really be forever.
She didn't want that.
Fu Hua, knowing Kiana too well, said:
"If you die here, your promise to change the world becomes empty words.
Do what you must. It's your responsibility."
That hit Kiana hard.
In a single moment, countless faces flashed in her mind.
She looked at Fu Hua's calm face.
"Class Pres... I understand..."
Kiana lowered her eyes.
Turned and ran—faster and faster—unable to look back.
"Goodbye, Kiana."
The once elated players were instantly dumbfounded.
Fu Hua's back again—
Don't tell me she's going to drop again?
Why bring her back just to stab us again?
Hoyo writers, you can't be this cruel...
Damn.
Maybe they really could.
Players grew increasingly anxious.
They continued watching nervously.
Fu Hua pulled Kevin into the "Taixu Realm" created by Jade Knight.
To make him understand her intentions—
She gave him all her remaining memories and emotions.
(She showed him all her alternate outfits.)
Meanwhile, Kiana, swallowing her helpless rage, fled Schicksal and World Serpent's pursuit.
Durandal, en route to the battlefield, told Schicksal—
No need to chase Kiana anymore.
At the same time, Fu Hua and Kevin's fight concluded.
Kevin acknowledged her growth—
But Fu Hua, spent, was no match.
Kevin turned her consciousness into a Feather with ease.
Players were just about to spam "Kill my Fu Hua?! Kevin, you deserve nothing!!"
But then Kevin said:
"When this is all over, I'll wake you up.
Till then, rest easy."
The players sighed in relief.
[Kevin, you deserv—cough cough, good job! Long live World Serpent! Kevin is awesome!]
[Just for that line—I'm with you! Fu Hua, wait for me!]
[Looks like the Immortal still has more push-ups to do in her coffin (excited).]
[Compare that to that backstabbing Otto... clear winner. Too bad World Serpent's plan is...]
No time to breathe.
Kevin had just returned to reality—
Durandal appeared before him.
"You must be the leader of World Serpent."
Kevin said little.
"Come."
Just two words—battle began!
Durandal responded:
"As you wish!"
Their clash erupted.
A CG animation began.
Beyond the ruins—
Dust shrouded the sea's outline. Waves surged—
Like the endless battles of this city.
Then—
A chill swept across.
The sea froze into a vast ice field.
Even a whale trying to escape—
Was turned into a towering ice sculpture mid-leap.
Atop the sculpture,
A man slowly descended from the sky—
