Chapter 126 - Chapter 126: Three Supreme Gods? Total Annihilation, Disaster Annihilation, and Sorrowful Annihilation!

The entire Marvel Universe held its breath. Every hero, villain, and agent stared at the screen, stunned by what they were witnessing.

An old man stood in the footage, yet he gave off an overwhelming aura, almost like a walking natural disaster.

An immortal being?

An old man who brings destruction just by existing?

Was this some kind of joke?

In the headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D., the agents were just as shocked.

"Could this be some kind of reality-warping ability?" Natasha Romanoff asked, narrowing her eyes. "Maybe... a power that even he can't control?"

Nick Fury, standing behind her, scrolled through the Foundation's records and shook his head. "No… if it was just uncontrolled reality-warping, the SCP Foundation would've caught on. But look at this."

He pointed to a section of the document:

> "The subject appears as a man in his eighties or nineties, but he has shown no signs of aging in the fifty years since coming to the Foundation's attention."

Nick's eyes lit up. "Think about it—he looks old already, so fifty years ago, he must have looked like this too. That means he only became ageless after something happened."

This realization sent a chill through everyone.

Whatever this man—SCP-1440—had done, it had turned him into an eternal walking catastrophe.

More text appeared on the screen:

> "SCP-1440 avoids contact with humans whenever possible, as he is aware of his effects on them."

"Despite this, he follows a strange pattern that always leads him back to people."

"No analysis has revealed the logic of this pattern. SCP-1440 offers no insight."

"He is not hostile, does not resist capture, but every containment attempt ends in disaster, with the loss of lives and materials."

The audience watching the live stream fell silent.

Then, one by one, reactions poured in.

"He avoids people? So he's not a villain?"

"This old man… he's trying to protect us by staying away?"

"Why do bad things happen to kind-hearted people?"

"Damn. He's like a lonely god cursed to walk the Earth…"

Back in S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury nodded grimly. "As expected… he knows how dangerous he is. He's rejecting his own power."

His eyes fell again on the phrase "always leads to contact with humans."

He muttered, "Is it fate? A curse? Or something worse?"

Suddenly, more details popped up on the screen.

> "SCP-1440 first approached the Foundation by seeking out Dr. [REDACTED], a researcher at Site-■."

"He asked her to destroy him."

The entire site was wiped out.

> "Six Safe and Euclid-class SCPs were destroyed."

"All future containment attempts ended the same way."

Gasps filled the room.

"He asked to be destroyed?"

"He caused that much damage just by being there?"

Even Nick Fury looked shaken now. "If this man ever walked into one of our major sites like Site-17 or Site-19…"

He didn't finish the sentence. He didn't have to.

At Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One was watching too, her face growing tense.

"This… this power isn't normal. It's not magic. It's not even cosmic." Her voice trembled. "Could this be the power of a god?"

Her mind drifted to past threats—the Crimson King, Galactus, the Cosmic Starfish.

This man could be worse.

Suddenly, the footage changed again. A grainy video clip loaded up.

> [Interview Log 1440-7, Area-142 Containment Attempt #4]

[Fortunately saved on a remote server before the site's collapse]

[Interviewer: Dr. [REDACTED]]

[Interviewee: SCP-1440]

James, watching the feed from a remote lab, paused before pressing play. He found a paper note stuck to the disk:

> "Foreword: Upon SCP-1440's arrival at Area-142, personnel experienced migraines and nausea. Over two days, water filters broke down, a hangar collapsed, and several pilots died. Dr. [REDACTED] suffered complete organ failure despite perfect prior health."

James gulped.

This wasn't just a "disaster aura" anymore.

This was death incarnate.

The screen blinked to life. A sterile conference room. An old man in a black robe sat quietly across from a doctor.

Everyone watching knew instantly: this was SCP-1440.

He wore a square black hat and carried a mysterious cloth bag over his shoulder. His presence alone made the room feel colder.

At Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One trembled. Her mystical senses screamed as they read his aura.

Three distinct forces swirled around him—death, disaster, and something more sorrowful.

She gasped.

"These aren't just powers… these are divine laws!"

She whispered in terror, "This man is no longer human. He has become something else…"

A Supreme God.

Not one, but three divine forces seemed to inhabit him. And worse—they weren't alone.

Somewhere in the vast universe, The Watcher, Uatu, felt a ripple across reality.

He stared at the screen. He could sense it too.

"There's someone else… hidden… just out of sight."

The interview began.

"Good afternoon, SCP-1440," the doctor greeted him.

The old man nodded. "You too, Doctor."

"Do you know why we brought you here?"

"I do. And I admire your persistence, but... your previous attempts have proven you cannot help me."

He paused, his eyes filled with sorrow.

"For your own good, Doctor, you must let me go. The First Brother stands behind you."

Everyone froze.

First Brother? There was no one else in the room!

Even Uatu leaned in.

"How… how can he see them? Even I can barely detect their forms!"

Was this the source of his curse?

The doctor, clearly nervous, pressed on. "You mentioned three brothers. Who are they?"

SCP-1440's face twisted with grief.

"Yes. Three brothers. Different, but the same. Cruel. Vengeful. Unforgiving."

"They caused my suffering… and yours too."

He looked behind the doctor again. "The Second Brother has arrived. You are out of time. Let me go, or none of you will survive."

But on the screen, no one else was visible.

Still, at Kamar-Taj, the Ancient One felt a new presence.

A dark red aura—symbol of disaster—now hovered over the room.

It was followed by black—death itself.

Uatu's hands trembled.

He could feel the second figure now.

A fiery force of destruction that could shatter planets.

He turned to the First Brother.

One glance.

And fear crushed him.

He saw death. True death.

SCP-1440 spoke again, softer now.

"The Third Brother never appears. He is the cruelest of all… because only he can set me free."

"I searched for him… tried to give back what I stole from the others…"

"But he never comes."

He looked at the doctor with pity.

"The Second Brother has placed his hand on your shoulder. It is too late now. Destruction follows him closely."

The doctor tried to remain calm.

"Any last advice?"

SCP-1440 nodded solemnly.

"If you ever play a card game with death to save your life… never do one thing."

"What's that?"

"Win."

Then he closed his eyes in pain.

The screen flickered, then went black.
