Alvin was completely dumbfounded.
Just moments ago, it was Morgan, and now, in the blink of an eye... this girl was Gray again?
After a brief moment of shock, he quickly reacted, instinctively releasing his hold on her.
"Why am I here...?"
A flush of embarrassment spread across Gray's face. She stole a quick glance at Alvin, then hurriedly spoke in a soft voice.
It seems she has no memory of when the Sister Morgan was inhabiting her body... Alvin tried to stay calm and said. "It's a long story..."
He briefly explained what had happened earlier, and by the end, a look of disbelief crossed the silver-haired girl's face.
Soon after, she gave Alvin a quiet, meaningful look and said softly.
"So, you really are with Princess Morgan..."
Even back at the Tower of Radiance, Gray had already been fairly certain of Alvin's true identity.
After all, if modern transmigrators could appear in ancient Britain, it wasn't impossible for someone from ancient Britain to cross into the present, right?
Precisely because she herself was a transmigrator, she could quickly accept that Alvin was the White Dragon of Britain.
And she had long heard tales of the White Dragon's deeds in ancient Britain.
The husband of King Arthur... and someone with an extremely close relationship with Morgan.
At this thought, Gray gradually calmed down.
For an ordinary girl, waking up to find herself on a boy's bed would likely lead to tears, a tantrum, or at the very least, a slap across the face.
But Gray was clearly no ordinary girl.
Not to mention, the guy was the one she ....
After piecing together what had just happened, she felt a mix of dissatisfaction, shyness, and an inexplicable sense of disappointment.
She didn't know where this disappointment came from, but she just couldn't feel happy.
The girl quickly masked her disappointment and looked up at Alvin, saying softly. "I've been meaning to ask you... So you really are the magical dragon from Britain, aren't you?"
Alvin nodded silently, but he quickly added. "I am indeed the White Dragon of Britain... but I'm also your friend here at the Clock Tower. I wouldn't lie to you about that."
The silver-haired girl gazed at him quietly.
After a moment, she lowered her eyes and said softly. "I know."
If Alvin didn't see her as a friend, he wouldn't have helped her before, and the holy lance wouldn't have ended up in her hands.
But... for some reason, hearing the word "friend" from him made her feel unhappy, as if a shadow lingered in her heart, refusing to dissipate.
"...I can't stay in your dorm too long. If there's nothing else, I'll head out."
With that said, Gray stood up, quietly put on her shoes and socks, and prepared to leave.
"Wait a second!"
Alvin suddenly called out to her.
The silver-haired girl paused but didn't turn around, but, the young man reached out and grabbed her soft hand, holding it tightly no matter how she tried to pull away.
Alvin knew what to do and what not to do.
"Is... is there something else?"
Gray asked instinctively.
Alvin didn't speak, only looked gently into her eyes and said softly.
"Nothing else, I just want to spend some time alone with you. Is that okay?"
"When Morgan came to see me earlier, I was actually really happy... but I didn't know it was her at first, because she came to me in your form."
Alvin's gaze was utterly sincere.
He truly hadn't connected Gray with Morgan at first, so his words weren't a lie.
Not to mention, he directly said that he liked Gray in front of Morgan.
If it weren't for his quick thinking and Morgan's Tsundere nature under straight balls, he would've been in a dark room already.
Gray's eyes flickered slightly, and she instinctively raised her gaze to the handsome boy before her.
Soon, she lowered her head, pursing her soft, pink lips.
Though her expression remained calm, a trace of fluster flashed in her eyes.
When she woke up to find Alvin holding her, her first reaction wasn't anger but confusion and uncertainty.
And when she learned that Alvin had mistaken her for Morgan, that confusion turned into disappointment.
But now... his words felt like a confession.
Though there were logical inconsistencies, a girl in love wouldn't dwell on such details.
She stole a few more glances at him before letting out a soft "Oh."
"Anything else?"
She asked again.
Though her tone remained as cool and aloof as ever, her mood was clearly less downcast than before.
Alvin seized the moment, taking her hand and continuing. "Like I said, I just want to sit and talk with you for a bit... Is that not okay?"
The simplest way to gauge a girl's feelings is to casually brush the back of her hand with yours.
If she doesn't pull away after a few tries, you can move on to holding her hand.
Of course, this assumes you're in the ambiguous stage.
Alvin and Gray were clearly past that stage, so he opted for a more direct approach..holding her hand.
Clearly, Gray didn't resist.
She stood with her head lowered, and after a long pause, she gave a soft "Mm."
They chatted for a while longer in the room.
Alvin shared stories of his time in ancient Britain... Perhaps because it had been through a "simulated game," he still remembered the general plot.
Gray sat on a chair, watching the boy by the bed.
She listened intently, her eyes sparkling with interest in the fascinating stories of the White Dragon's era, quickly forgetting the awkward moment from earlier.
After about ten minutes, she stood up, still reluctant to leave.
She couldn't stay too long, after all, a girl lingering in a boy's room late at night could spark gossip.
Although she didn't mind...Alvin and her weren't ..
Just as Gray was about to open the door, she seemed to remember something and suddenly asked.
"By the way... Morgan was able to inhabit my body because we have good compatibility, right?"
Alvin nodded lightly. "I guess so..."
He couldn't figure out what Gray and Morgan had in common besides their faces.
When Morgan said that she had the blood of the White Dragon and could be his daughter, his mind went blank for a moment...but then he felt it was impossible.
So, could it be that every delicate girl has the potential to be a cunning queen?
"If she inhabits my body again... don't mess around with me."
Gray turned to look at the boy behind her, her tone much more serious this time.
Alvin froze for a moment before nodding earnestly. "I understand, it's your body, after all..."
Gray shook her head. "That's not what I mean..."
"Then what do you mean?"
Could it be... she's okay with me messing around?
Alvin's mind was racing with these chaotic thoughts when he saw the silver-haired girl step closer to him.
She lowered her head, gazing into his eyes, and said softly. "This is my body, so whether it's kissing or anything else... it should be my choice, right?"
Alvin nodded silently.
He suddenly realized he might have gone too far earlier.
Though it was Morgan's consciousness, it was still Gray's body... Their relationship might be somewhat ambiguous, but it hadn't reached that point yet.
Good thing it was Gray.
If it had been another girl, she might've already reported this to the Clock Tower's board of directors.
At this thought, Alvin instinctively said. "I'm sorry..."
"It hasn't quite reached the point where you need to apologize."
Gray said softly. "If anything, this might be an opportunity."
Alvin froze, watching as the girl suddenly jogged up to him, leaned down slightly, and gently brushed her lips against his.
The soft, moist sensation of her lips lingered.
Gray's eyes shimmered with a misty sheen, as if this act alone had pushed the girl to her limit.
Yet she bravely held his gaze.
"Like this... whatever happens, it should be my choice, right?"
Alvin froze, but before he could respond, the girl lowered her head and fled the room as if escaping.
The Clock Tower was exceptionally quiet at night, with soft moonlight filtering through the white curtains.
Alvin sat under the dim glow of a desk lamp, watching the spot where the girl had left, instinctively touching his lips.
Though he had just been intimate with Morgan, and technically kissed Gray as well... this feeling was entirely different from when Morgan was inhabiting her body.
Recalling the girl's words, Alvin snapped out of his daze, feeling a sense of relief.
If he hadn't understood what Gray meant earlier, now... he was starting to get it.
This kiss was indeed completely different.
Who would've thought that the usually timid, delicate girl could do something like this... Alvin looked up toward the distant figure of the silver-haired girl, his heart filled with awe.
This feeling didn't last long, as he soon heard faint footsteps approaching.
Alvin paused, then got up and walked to the door.
Opening it with a smile, he said. "What's up, Gray? Forget something?"
As he spoke, he looked up.
Then, his smile slowly froze.
Manaka Sajyou... and Reines.
[Congratulations, Host, you have triggered the special CG: Clock Tower's Shura Field]
At that moment, the system helpfully popped up a notification.
Alvin's eyelid twitched heavily.
Why didn't you warn me earlier? What good is your stupid system now?!
