Chapter 1168 - Chapter 1154 – The War of Destiny

From the very beginning, the Dayi Dynasty had been closely monitoring the movements of the Ten Thousand Beasts Royal Court. They had already uncovered that the Royal Court had joined forces with other alien tribes, preparing for a concerted assault on Dayi. However, they lacked the confidence to break through the Iron-Blood Great Wall, or perhaps they simply didn't want to pay the heavy price of attacking it head-on.

This came as no surprise. If they knew the Iron-Blood Great Wall was nearly unbreakable yet still insisted on attacking, that would be not bravery, but foolishness—utter, suicidal foolishness.

"Choosing Xiaoyao City is nothing more than bait. They intend to use the hundreds of thousands of civilians in the city as hostages. If we respond, we fall into their trap. If we don't, they'll spin it into propaganda to smear Dayi's name, destroy public morale. Either way, it plays into their hands. I can be sure of one thing: the surroundings of Xiaoyao City have become a death trap. The Ten Thousand Beasts Royal Court has set up a vast net, waiting for a decisive showdown with us," said Zhuge Liang.

"Good. Even better. Let's settle it all at once—uproot the Ten Thousand Beasts Royal Court and destroy them completely. Let's see if they dare act arrogant in front of Dayi again!" shouted Cheng Yaojin.

This battle was inevitable. So why not turn it into a defining war?

"If the Ten Thousand Beasts Royal Court and their allies want a full-scale war with Dayi, then let's give them one. In this war, we shall demonstrate the might of the Dayi Dynasty and the dignity of our human race. The human race is not inferior to any other," said Yi Tianxing calmly.

"This battle will show all foreign races what despair truly means. Our people were born from war and forged in blood. Let this be the war that determines the fate of the world!"

The Royal Court's plan was simple—they wanted to fight on their terms, in a battlefield of their choosing. Fine. Yi Tianxing would grant them their wish. This was also the perfect opportunity for Dayi's army to experience a true mega-scale battlefield, one involving tens of millions of combatants.

One battle to annihilate all the foundations of the Ten Thousand Beasts Royal Court.

"This battle will be a War of Destiny."

What is a War of Destiny? It is a battle between Destiny Dynasties. During such wars, each side can plunder the other's fortune and destiny, even devouring the opponent's Destiny Spirit entirely.

A battle of destiny is supremely dangerous—once it begins, it's either death or glory.

Only one side can survive.

"Xue Kunlun!!"Yi Tianxing's gaze swept the grand hall as he called out.

"Your subject is here," said Xue Kunlun, stepping forward solemnly.

"Xue Kunlun, hear my command. I appoint you as the vanguard general. You shall lead the Snow Rabbit Legion, teleport via Rainbow Bridge to Xiaoyao City. Your troops are cavalry—are you willing to clash with the Wolf Cavalry?"

"What is there to fear? My Snow Rabbit Legion doesn't fear the Wolf Cavalry," Xue Kunlun replied confidently.

The Snow Rabbit Legion under Xue Kunlun was a cavalry force. Their mounts were not ordinary steeds but mutated rabbit beasts born in snowy regions—Blue Moon Demon Rabbits. These rabbits were enormous, larger than warhorses, and incredibly fast. Their defense was outstanding. Though mad with a berserk demonic nature, the Blue Moon's power kept them lucid enough in battle. These beasts feared no predator and would charge recklessly at any foe.

To join the Snow Rabbit Legion, one had to first tame a Blue Moon Demon Rabbit. Without doing so, enlistment was impossible.

These demon rabbits also had a unique innate ability—they could emit a Blue Moon Aura, which bestowed rapid healing, stamina regeneration, and a strange, calming mental clarity, allowing warriors to maintain peak combat effectiveness and plow through enemy lines.

The Snow Rabbit Legion was terrifyingly strong.

"Bestow the military command token. Let the army march at once. I await your triumphant return," said Yi Tianxing.

A beam of light flashed in his hand, and half a command token appeared, flying toward Xue Kunlun.

Eyes glowing with excitement, Xue Kunlun produced the matching half of the token. The two pieces merged into one—complete. With this token, he could command the full legion and lead them beyond Dayi's borders. Without it, they could not deploy.

"Your subject obeys!"Xue Kunlun's long white hair fluttered as he bowed and left without hesitation to summon the Snow Rabbit Legion within the War Soul Realm.

Other generals, like Yang Ye, looked on with undisguised envy.

To lead the vanguard was a tremendous honor. Victory would mean first merit, possibly reshaping the entire war's outcome. They all longed for it, but as this was the emperor's appointment, they could only envy silently.

DONG! DONG! DONG!

The bells rang across the Dayi Dynasty's skies.

"War has begun," muttered Young Master Kongxu, looking toward the heavens from the Zhengqi Manor.

A brilliant rainbow streaked across the sky toward distant Xiaoyao City.

Countless citizens, upon seeing the arc of light, were filled with awe and anticipation. This was the Rainbow Bridge, capable of instant deployment of Dayi's armies to any location—even outside their borders, though that would require far more energy.

Inside the Chaotian Palace, Yi Tianxing waved his hand, and a Treasure Mirror appeared mid-air. It quickly expanded, revealing rippling waves and finally displaying a clear image—a live view of Xiaoyao City.

This was the Spirit-Linked Treasure Mirror (通灵宝镜), an artifact of immense power. It could investigate surrounding areas, detect spirit veins, mineral veins, even peer into the celestial realm to grasp destiny. Enhanced by the Hongmeng Heavenly Emperor Pagoda, its reach extended across vast distances.

"That's Xiaoyao City… and King Wang Chen. His Rattan Armor Troops are decent—elite, even—but they're too few. They can't stand against the Wolf Cavalry," murmured an official.

Inside the mirror, the anxious faces of Xiaoyao's people could be seen—many already on the brink of despair from the oppressive atmosphere.

"General An, do you think… Dayi will come?"Wang Chen looked at the blood-red wolf smoke rising outside the city, voice full of hesitation.

"Dayi will definitely come. But the distance isn't short. We don't know how long it will take or if they'll arrive before midnight. If they don't, we must prepare for a last-stand," said An Lushan, gazing solemnly at the Wolf Cavalry encamped beyond the city.

"Look! A rainbow in the sky!!"

A giant rainbow streaked across the heavens.

Everyone in Xiaoyao—civilians, soldiers, even the Wolf Cavalry—saw it. A wave of instinctual fear rose among the Wolfmen Warriors.

SWOOSH!

With a flash of rainbow light, a full army appeared out of thin air outside the city.

Draped in pure white armor, astride ferocious Blue Moon Demon Rabbits, they carried Divine Crossbows and massive crescent-shaped blades—the Snow Moon Demon Blades. These dual-edged weapons could slash or sweep, harvesting enemies like sickles.

Their faces hidden behind masks, only cold, unyielding eyes visible. In front of Xiaoyao City, they formed a flawless battle formation.

"Dayi Dynasty, Snow Rabbit Legion. You are Legion Commander Xue Kunlun?"The Wolf Cavalry general eyed them with cold dread.

"Enough talk. The emperor's order is clear: invading Wolf Cavalry—kill without mercy!" Xue Kunlun snapped.

"Wolf Cavalry, kill! Kill! Kill!!" With a howl, the enemy general raised his Heaven Wolf Blade, pointing at the Snow Rabbit Legion.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!!"

The Wolf Cavalry let out feral howls. Their mounts charged forward at terrifying speed.

This was war.No pleasantries, no negotiations—only power decided life and death.

"Snow Rabbit Legion—kill!!"

Xue Kunlun gave the order.

The Blue Moon Demon Rabbits burst into motion, not a bit slower than the wolves. In fact, their explosive power was even greater.

Inside Xiaoyao City, the onlookers were dumbfounded, eyes wide with disbelief.

Even King Wang Chen's jaw dropped."They're already fighting? That was… so fast."

"Real war doesn't waste time with words," said An Lushan solemnly. "Victory is decided by swords—life and death by the blade."
