"The dwarfs!!"
Yi Tianxing looked down, only to see seven dwarfs standing at his feet. Each of them stood less than half a meter tall—so small they seemed like tiny figures. If he hadn't been focused on the giant Longbo man just now, and if these dwarfs hadn't shown any hostility, he might not have noticed them at all.Their strength was on an entirely different level from his—like ants before a dragon.
"Big guy, we're heading to the town. Want to come with us? It's way too dangerous out here. Not long ago, we saw a fire-breathing dragon flying across the sky. Wherever it flew, everything was swallowed in flames. If we hadn't hidden underground, we'd have been roasted alive," one of the dwarfs said, still visibly shaken.
"Yeah, and don't forget the man-eating plants! Once they grab you, it's nearly impossible to escape. This place is terrifying," another added.
The seven dwarfs chatted animatedly about how dangerous it was outside. It seemed that a single misstep out here could mean death, and no one knew what might come next.
"Alright, let's go together!" Yi Tianxing nodded and smiled.
From their expressions and speech, it was clear they hadn't realized he wasn't a native of the Nightmare World. That worked in his favor. He was still unfamiliar with this place, so traveling with them would help him learn about this world's rules and perhaps find a gathering place for survivors.
This place was strange—poisonous snakes that turned into pythons, terrifying giants like Longbo men... Everything was off.
The seven dwarfs looked thrilled and led the way happily, singing as they skipped along.
"We are the happy little dwarfs, united and full of cheer!"
"Shoulder to shoulder, hand in hand, chasing the sun together!"
The cheerful singing echoed around them.
Yi Tianxing couldn't help but smile. These dwarfs had such pure hearts—carefree and content. In the Eternal World, such happiness was rare and enviable.
Before long, they arrived before a large town.
But something about the town struck Yi Tianxing as strange.
The buildings were wildly mismatched in style—as if they'd been pulled from entirely different worlds. The town was enveloped in a layer of seven-colored mist, which naturally repelled the gray fog of the outside world. Strangely, the colorful mist didn't obscure visibility; he could still see everything inside.
Rather than a town, it felt more like a secluded realm or pocket dimension.
Inside were thatched cottages, stone castles, and even massive ancient trees.
Following the seven dwarfs, Yi Tianxing passed through the rainbow mist with ease and entered the strange domain.
Here, the sky looked normal. The trees and flowers were lush and bright. Everything appeared to have returned to normal, as though he'd stepped back into the Eternal World.
"So even in the Nightmare World, places like this exist... incredible," Yi Tianxing mused."According to the dwarfs, there are many such towns here. That means there are safe zones in this world."
He didn't yet understand how such places were formed. Although the Dream Butterfly World and Nightmare World shared similarities, they were clearly not on the same level. The Dream Butterfly World was like a newborn, while this one... was ancient and vast.
"Welcome to Fairy Tale Town! You're sure to have a wonderful time here!" the dwarfs beamed.
He looked up to see a sign hanging overhead, with the words "Fairy Tale Town" written in ancient seal script.
BOOM!!
As he stepped into the town, a vast green grassland appeared before him. In the middle stood a towering castle, with a fearsome grassland wolf totem carved into its walls—grim and intimidating.
At that moment, the castle gates swung open.
Out walked a strange gray wolf—its body patched together like it had been stitched up with thread. It walked on two legs and wagged its large fluffy tail. Despite its grotesque appearance, it had a comical air.
The wolf raised its head and roared: "Wife! Today, I, Grey Wolf, will definitely catch a sheep! That damned Pleasant Goat—I'll skin him, strip the meat, boil the bones for soup, and roast the meat for skewers! Wife, today you'll finally get to eat mutton! I swear you won't go another day as a wolf who's never tasted sheep!!"
With heroic vigor, the wolf charged out onto the grasslands.
"That's Grey Wolf—the shame of the wolf clan in Fairy Tale Town," one of the dwarfs explained with a grin. "He's infamous for never catching a single sheep. But his wife, Red Wolf, is the most beautiful wolf in the clan. The other wolves are all jealous."
"This time he's off to cause trouble in Sheep Village again. But he's never succeeded. Even if he gets a sheep, something always goes wrong, and the sheep escapes."
Apparently, this daily battle between Grey Wolf and the sheep was a source of endless entertainment for the residents of Fairy Tale Town.
"Grey Wolf, Red Wolf, Pleasant Goat, Green Grassland, Sheep Village..."Yi Tianxing's mouth twitched.*If I don't recognize this by now, I might as well be blind. This is straight out of that old cartoon—Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf.
They were actually living inside this town.
"What is this madness...?" he thought.
Seven dwarfs, Grey Wolf, Pleasant Goat... Was Snow White here too?Could this town be a conglomerate of countless fairy tales?
He had his suspicions, but left them unspoken.Still, he grew increasingly curious about how such a region could exist in the Nightmare World.
"Let's follow them! I want to see what method Grey Wolf tries this time," one dwarf said, eyes sparkling.
The group followed excitedly.
"Grey Wolf is on the hunt again! We gotta see this!"Suddenly, two giant bears emerged from a hollow tree in a nearby forest.
Each bear was over two meters tall, with burly frames like living tanks. Just looking at them was enough to feel a surge of pressure.
They ran at great speed, almost like the wind, eager to spectate the sheep-chasing escapade.
"That's Bear Big and Bear Second. They live in Bear Forest and love picking fights with Logger Vick. They're always chasing him around, but they rarely actually hurt anyone," one dwarf explained, completely at ease around the massive creatures.
"So it really is them."Yi Tianxing nodded silently.
Soon, they reached the Green Grasslands.
The grass here was extraordinarily lush—each blade vibrant and rich with life.
"Such fertile grass..." Yi Tianxing picked a blade.
Instantly, his Heavenless Tome reacted, revealing the following:
"Qingyuan Grass: A top-grade spiritual herb. Especially beneficial for herbivorous creatures. Rich in spiritual energy. Strengthens vitality, enhances power, nourishes the body, shortens growth cycles, and even reinforces the life essence of the user."
This wasn't just grass—it was a spiritual grassland.
Even pigs raised here could become powerful beasts. This was a sacred land of immense value.
If the Ox and Horse Tribes grazed here, they'd raise unmatched warriors.
"This could become a premier pastureland back in the Da Yi Dynasty," Yi Tianxing thought."We could breed top-tier battle mounts. It would massively boost our power."
He discreetly stored a few Qingyuan Grass blades into his Dantian Life Aperture, planting them into his spiritual field. If he could cultivate seeds, Da Yi would soon have its own grassland of spiritual nourishment.
Then he turned his gaze toward the distant village.
There stood a village encircled by green wooden fences. A sign above read: "Sheep Village."
"These fences are enchanted," Yi Tianxing observed.Activating his Innate Yin-Yang Eyes, he spotted intricate protective runes and formations on the barriers. A transparent shield covered the entire village.
"Tsk, not a bad barrier," said Bear Second, munching on a basket of fruit. "But Grey Wolf always finds a way in. I wonder what he'll try this time."
"Yeah, but he'll never succeed. He's failed thousands of times!" Bear Big added with a laugh.
