The sole purpose of these spies stationed outside the Iron-Blood Great Wall was to obtain intelligence on the Da Yi Dynasty at the earliest possible moment. No matter the kind of information, they aimed to grasp it with the utmost speed. Only then could they formulate targeted strategies and responses. These spies even frequently attempted to cross the Iron-Blood Great Wall. However, even when the Great Wall wasn't fully activated, its formidable defenses rendered it impossible for hostile alien races to cross undetected. It wasn't a question of whether it was possible—it was that any attempt would immediately alert both the Great Wall itself and its garrisoned troops.
Even if one managed to cross the Wall, they would be swiftly eliminated by the Great Wall Guard. Da Yi's arrows and crossbow bolts were renowned for their deadly precision and power. Out of ten who attempted the crossing, perhaps only one might survive, and even then, survival with body and soul intact was far from guaranteed.
This fear of Da Yi had seeped deep into the very bones of the alien races. On one hand, they looked down on humans; on the other, they feared them immensely—a truly contradictory mindset. Because of this, the alien races deployed large numbers of spies beyond the Iron-Blood Great Wall to monitor Da Yi's movements.
Now, witnessing an entire Immortal City suddenly emerge from within the Great Wall, traversing it and appearing in the wilderness beyond, these spies were stunned. They could see with their own eyes the cold, expressionless soldiers of Da Yi atop the city walls, each clad in full battle armor with faceplates down, exuding an icy aura. These were not mere soldiers—they were elite, battle-hardened veterans.
"Quick! Send the message back immediately! Da Yi has stepped beyond the Great Wall!"
"This is bad! Da Yi isn't just out hunting fierce beasts. They've brought an entire Immortal City! This is a move for expansion! They intend to suppress the wilderness again with their cities!"
"No! Their direction… it's heading straight for our tribe!"
The spies, gripped by fear, understood that a disaster of epic proportions was unfolding. They didn't hesitate to transmit the message immediately.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
But before most could relay their information, the moment the Immortal City burst from the Iron-Blood Great Wall, a rain of arrows descended upon them from above. Numerous sharpshooters on the wall had already drawn their Bone War Bows, releasing Runic Arrows without hesitation.
A close look at their eyes revealed a strange, piercing light—the sharp glint of the Eagle Eye.
Life Aperture — Eagle Eye!!
(A dual eye technique and life aperture divine ability.)
This was a visual-type life aperture technique, a pupil technique (瞳术). The method for developing the Eagle Eye life aperture was found within the Scripture Pavilion. The required materials included eyes and elite body parts from eagle-type beasts, combined with various spiritual herbs to concoct a Life Aperture Pill—specifically, the Eagle Eye Life Aperture Pill. Once ingested, the pill would allow cultivators to open the Eagle Eye life aperture within their bodies and gain its unique vision technique.
With this Eagle Eye vision, the user's eyesight underwent a dramatic transformation. When paired with the elite archery skills of the sharpshooters, it granted them the terrifying ability to strike down targets from thousands of meters away, even from ten kilometers or more. Once they locked onto a target, escape was nearly impossible—like being hunted by an eagle.
Under their gaze, the hidden spies were as exposed as if under a spotlight—utterly visible and vulnerable.
One after another, Bone War Arrows tore through the air like lightning. These were not ordinary Runic Arrows; they were upgraded versions issued only to elite sharpshooters, more powerful and destructive.
Each arrow found its mark with chilling precision—skulls shattered, hearts pierced—none survived.
"No!"
"Those arrows are too fast! Those archers—monsters!"
"It's the sharpshooters of Da Yi! Damn it, run!"
But there was no escape. These arrows surpassed even modern-day sniper rifles. With their cultivation and divine bows, they produced a force exponentially stronger than the sum of its parts—not additive, but multiplicative in nature.
Flee! Flee! Flee!!
But they couldn't flee. The shower of arrows turned into streams of deadly light, cutting down every spy they found. Blood splattered across the wilderness as the bodies fell one by one.
"Advance!!"
The Immortal City didn't pause. Under the guidance of a young feng shui practitioner, it rumbled forward at full speed, cutting through forests like a divine beast. Trees parted, beasts scattered. Any beast too slow to flee was crushed beneath its massive bulk—splattered into bloody fragments.
The sight was tyrannical and unstoppable—a steamroller of divine might.
Though most spies were eliminated, a few inevitably escaped. But the mere minutes of delay were enough to give Da Yi a huge strategic advantage. The Immortal City could now get closer to its target location with no resistance. Once it settled, the feng shui veins would merge into it, anchoring it immovably into the terrain and making it a fortress that could not be shaken.
The Immortal City surged forward, a terrifying giant beast thundering across the land.
Meanwhile, near the edge of the Iron-Blood Great Wall, deep within a mountain valley, lay an alien tribe's stronghold.
This alien town resembled a city, but its architecture reeked of foreign influence. Ironwood trees grew throughout, and from their branches hung iron cages. Inside each cage was a human captive—rich or poor, it made no difference. All shared the same look: blank despair.
The hopelessness in their eyes revealed they had long abandoned dreams of rescue or escape.
Inside the town, many humans had already been enslaved, forced to do hard labor under the cruel supervision of monstrous wardens—beings with humanlike forms, but twisted features: giant fangs, blood-stained mouths, and rotting breath. Their razor-sharp claws gleamed under the light, dangerous and deadly.
These terrifying creatures gathered around a stone table where the corpse of a human lay. They tore off chunks of raw flesh, devouring them like gourmet cuisine. Blood dripped down their faces, but they licked it back up with relish—their expressions reflecting pure ecstasy as if savoring the finest delicacies.
Within moments, nothing but bones remained of the corpse.
These were the Ghoulkin (食尸鬼)—their bodies reeked of decay and rot. And in this tribal town, such scenes were common. Everywhere, humans were livestock.
"Damn these Ghouls… We'll be next."
"It's over. Once they catch you, there's no escape. Living or dead—it makes no difference. Alive, we're fattened for slaughter. Dead, we're eaten immediately."
Inside the cages, humans were being fed beast meat daily—forced to eat even when they refused. Their bodies grew strong and fat—just as the Ghoulkin intended.
They were raising humans like pigs—to be eaten once fattened.
The fatter a person became, the more terrified they grew—closer to death with each passing day. The illusion of luxury was only the precursor to slaughter.
In the heart of this alien town, inside the Tribal Hall, sat a group of figures that looked almost entirely human—impossibly so.
