Chapter 948 - Chapter 0936 – Soldiers, Soldiers, Soldiers

The military camp, this Heaven and Earth treasure, had already demonstrated its mystical properties back when it was only at the Yellow Tier.

Within the camp, it was truly a world of its own—a mustard seed containing a Mt. Sumeru. Even at Yellow Tier Rank One, it could accommodate 100,000 soldiers. It contained various training grounds that could gather iron-blooded baleful qi, merging it into the camp itself. When soldiers trained within, their bodies would naturally be tempered by this baleful qi, strengthening their physiques and blood essence, and increasing their cultivation speed. It greatly benefitted the practice of military formations and stimulated a martial heart among the soldiers. The camp also had concealment powers, making it impossible for outsiders to probe its true state, as if shrouded in mist.

Each tier upgrade doubled the internal space of the military camp:

Rank 1: 100,000 troops

Rank 2: 200,000

Rank 3: 400,000

Rank 4: 800,000

Rank 5: 1.6 million

Rank 6: 3.2 million

Rank 7: 6.4 million

Rank 8: 12.8 million

Rank 9: 25.6 million

Such was the power and miraculous nature of the military camp. Of course, the camp itself held no combat capability—it was not a combat-type treasure—but as a support-type building treasure, it was incredibly valuable. Its ability to house such massive forces made it an irreplaceable asset for any faction.

However, evolution of the camp wasn't simple. Inside was a Military Soul Stele, the central core for gathering iron-blooded baleful qi and also the camp's core.

To upgrade, it required slaughter.

The Military Soul Stele was originally snow-white, and had to be dyed blood-red to evolve. But this didn't mean splashing it with literal enemy blood. Instead, the killing aura and baleful qi naturally generated by soldiers as they fought and killed enemies would resonate with the stele. The more enemies slain, the more blood glow would enshroud the stele. When the energy reached saturation, the stele would evolve, and so would the camp.

Since its establishment, Great Yi had seen near-constant wars. Daily training involved battles with beasts and monsters, constant expeditions into the wild. Naturally, the camp's tier had continued to evolve.

It had now reached the Profound Tier.

At Profound Tier Rank One, the internal space could effortlessly house 50 million troops.

More importantly, the Profound Tier version of the camp now included independent subspaces—each a mini-camp of its own, with separate facilities. These allowed different corps to be stationed independently, whether for ocean patrols or other duties, while maintaining full secrecy.

In essence, each major corps now had its own dedicated military base, all nested within the grand military camp.

Truly, this camp was a miraculous creation.

"The military camp…"Witnessing it, even scholars like Huang Chengyan showed awe. Though aware of the camp's existence, they had never entered it before. Only those from the Military Affairs Pavilion were granted access. This time, if not for Yi Tianxing's personal guidance, they wouldn't be allowed in either.Without a direct military order, even a First-Rank Minister had no right to enter—a result of strict civil-military separation. The military recognized only military orders.

"Let's go," Yi Tianxing said calmly.

He stepped through the military camp gate.

There were no guards posted—the camp's internal formations could repel any invaders.

Upon entering, it felt like stepping into an entirely different world.

The first thing visible was a sprawling plaza, surrounded by vast training grounds and rows of military barracks.

Countless soldiers were aligned in tight formations, engaged in various drills—marching, sparring, practicing combat techniques. Every strike from blade or spear was filled with killing intent, their very purpose being slaughter. The overwhelming baleful aura permeated everything, even threatening to erode one's spirit.

The training was conducted under harsh, extreme conditions.

Everyone who stepped in for the first time couldn't help but look on in shock.

The air was blood-red, casting a dark crimson glow on everything. Every breath stirred the blood, and a fiery sensation coursed through the flesh.

"Such dense baleful qi… Even cultivators cannot stay here long. Prolonged exposure could corrupt one's mind," said Zhuge Liang, surveying the red-tinged space. "In such a place, even spells and divine abilities would lose seventy percent of their power. Only soldiers, whose bodies resonate with iron-blooded qi, can thrive here."

"No wonder only military personnel are allowed. Just this atmosphere alone would make ordinary cultivators ill," another minister muttered. "But for soldiers, this is a sacred training ground. Cultivation here is like riding the wind."

"I've never seen such concentrated baleful qi. Even ancient battlefields wouldn't have such intensity," Jia Yucun added. "This place is vast—there's no end in sight."

They all instinctively activated their protective qi fields. Without it, the baleful aura would have already invaded their bodies.

And then, at the center of the camp stood a massive stone stele.

Upon it, blood-red lights flickered and coiled. Threads of baleful qi emanated from this very stele. Blood-colored patterns—called Iron-Blooded Sigils (铁血煞纹)—crisscrossed its surface, allowing it to function like a spiritual meridian, continuously gathering and releasing iron-blooded qi.

"Open the Gate of Space!"Without hesitation, Yi Tianxing willed the space gate to open.

A silver-white portal appeared on the training field.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

From beyond the gate came the rhythmic thumping of footsteps.

One after another, human warriors began stepping out.

"They're humans… human warriors!"

But they wore no standard Great Yi uniforms. Their clothes were all different—ragtag, mismatched—but their presence was anything but.

Each one radiated the aura of a seasoned warrior. Their cultivations were all at least peak Sea of Gods Realm, with some even reaching the Life Aperture Realm.

They poured out in endless streams.

10,000… 20,000… 30,000…

Unit after unit formed on the training field in perfect order—each phalanx exactly 10,000 men strong.

Each man looked to Yi Tianxing with fanatical devotion—as if beholding a god. Their eyes burned with zeal and faith.

Even if ordered to die, they would march without hesitation.

The intensity of their belief left everyone stunned.

"So many… none of these were trained by me…" murmured Wang Dahu in shock. As a former drillmaster, he knew most of Great Yi's soldiers by face—but none of these were familiar.

"Judging by their clothing, they resemble the puppet legions of the Evernight human race from the Divine Demon Battlefield," said Yang Ye. "But those puppets had no emotion—only destruction. These men show zeal, but their emotions are real. What's going on?"

"This is insane. How many soldiers are there?" exclaimed Cheng Yaojin. "No training needed. Arm them, and they're ready veterans."

"Such a terrifying force… This must be the true depth of Great Yi's foundation," murmured Guan Yu.

At this point, over 100 phalanxes had formed.

That was one million soldiers.

And more were still pouring out…
