Chapter 817 - Chapter 0806: Attack on Titan

"Whoever it is—kill them all!!"

Yi Tianxing's gaze was cold. He sensed an eerie aura from these giants. They hadn't appeared during the day but suddenly emerged at night—right after the meteor shower struck the Battlefield of Gods and Demons. If something sinister wasn't going on, he wouldn't believe it no matter what. Regardless of where these giants came from or how powerful they were, since they dared to attack Sunset City, they all deserved death.

On the city walls, soldiers stared coldly at the incoming horde of giants.

Although the giants' massive bodies exuded immense pressure, it wasn't enough to instill fear in the troops. Some of them had previously fought alongside Yi Tianxing to slay giants. Giants were not invincible—hit their vital points, and they still died like anything else.

The human race was not inferior to any other species—not even to giants.

That was the confidence forged in the hearts of Great Yi's soldiers—a confidence earned through bloodshed.

"Ballistae, fire!!"

As the giant horde came within 5,000 meters of Sunset City, a series of sharp orders rang out.

The ballistae had immense range and destructive power. In ancient times, they could already hit targets up to 1,500 meters away. But now, these had been reforged with rune energy, superior materials, and even sinews of ferocious beasts used as bowstrings—tough, elastic, and capable of tremendous power.

The special ballista bolts were much larger than standard ones.

Moreover, the ballistae on the walls were no ordinary siege weapons. Each could launch seven bolts simultaneously. Their firepower and area of effect were immense. Once unleashed, the bolts would fan out in a cone-shaped formation—deadly and hard to evade on the battlefield.

This masterpiece was crafted by Master Lu through countless iterations and modifications in war.

Named the "Army-Breaker Ballista" (破军床弩), it symbolized unstoppable might—capable of shattering thousands of enemies with a single volley.

"Fire!!"

"Shoot!!"

With one command after another, the Army-Breaker Ballistae on the wall erupted into action.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The bolts fired like lightning.

The spectacle of the fan-shaped volleys was dazzling, like a massive fan unfolding across the sky.

Each volley contained seven specialized bolts:

Armor-Piercing Bolt (破甲箭)

Flame Bolt (烈焰箭)

Frost Bolt (寒冰箭)

Gale Bolt (疾风箭)

Gravity Bolt (重力箭)

Blinding Bolt (闪光箭)

Thunderbolt (惊雷箭)

Each bolt radiated a divine light as it tore through the void.

Fast.

So fast that all anyone could see were streaks of dazzling light cutting through the air. The sheer power of the bolts ripped the air apart with audible cracks.

Roar!!

Seeing the incoming barrage, the giants roared in defiance. Each bolt was thick and deadly—capable of impaling a whole body. Even they couldn't take such hits lightly.

Some giants reacted instantly.

One swung a massive blade to intercept a bolt. Another smashed it with a hammer.

Bang!!

Clang clang clang!!

The giants weren't sluggish. On the contrary, they were startlingly agile and strong, striking back at the incoming bolts. Some bolts exploded on impact; others unleashed immense gravity that crushed bones and forced the giants back with loud cracking sounds.

"Argh!!"

Some bolts exploded into blinding light. In the darkness, it was like being hit by a flash grenade—so intense it made giants scream and clutch their eyes, disrupting their counterattacks.

Others were pierced directly—the bolts boring cleanly through their powerful bodies, sending them flying backward and pinning them to the ground in a spray of blood.

The Thunderbolts struck like lightning, frying giants on impact, leaving their bodies charred black.

Thousands of these Army-Breaker Ballistae lined the wall. Their combined volley turned the battlefield into a death zone, raining destruction across the advancing horde.

Many giants fell, struck in vital spots and killed instantly.

But the assault didn't stop the horde. The giants kept advancing toward Sunset City.

None were weaker than the Fate Aperture realm. Their bodies were as tough as physical cultivators—born with terrifying strength and resilience.

Some carried giant shields, using them to block the deadly bolts like walking fortresses, pushing relentlessly forward.

The horde closed in:

4,000 meters...3,000 meters...

"Crossbowmen! Target the enemies outside the wall—free fire! Kill them!!"

Once the giants were in range of the Divine Crossbows and longbows, another command rang out.

The long-prepared crossbowmen didn't hesitate. With a pull of the trigger, bolts rained down like a storm.

Each bolt was infused with true essence, glowing in the night like fireworks.

Though the giants were tough, the sheer volume of fire turned them into human pincushions. Some were so massive that the arrows only pierced their fat, barely harming their organs—but if they struck a vital spot, it meant instant death.

Still, the giants paid a high price. Their corpses littered the battlefield.

But they showed no fear. Even as their kin fell around them, they charged forward without hesitation, closing in rapidly. Within seconds, they were only 1,000 meters away.

These giants were like fearless killing machines—completely devoid of emotion. Their lifeless expressions sent chills down the spines of the defenders.

"Damn it! What the hell are these monsters? I've never seen enemies who can charge through arrow rain like this without even blinking. Are they puppets?"

Zhang Fei's face twitched uncontrollably.

No one could witness such a scene and not feel shaken.

"Rune bombs—throw them!!"

When the giants got within 1,000 meters, another command was issued.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!!

Dozens of Rune Bombs flew through the air toward the giant horde.

Boom boom boom!!

The giants didn't even understand what these glowing objects were. Some struck them with their weapons, triggering explosions on the spot.

The resulting annihilation force surged like a tide, blasting giants into pieces. Even those with shields had their weapons knocked flying. Yet, they kept coming, trampling over the corpses of their fallen kin.

Some managed to survive the volleys. At just a few hundred meters away, they hurled giant boulders toward the wall—massive enough to resemble falling meteors.

Bang!!

Some ballistae intercepted the rocks mid-air. The bolts shattered the stones, raining down shards like artillery. Soldiers slashed them down midair but still took heavy blows, flung backward into the city.

"Kill!!"

The giants roared as more boulders smashed toward the wall like a deadly rain.

"Use Rune Bombs on the rocks!"

This time, the bombs weren't thrown at the giants, but at the boulders. Mid-air explosions shattered the projectiles, scattering them like a deadly firework display.

Brilliant and terrifying.

Some giants had already reached the base of the wall.

Sunset City's wall stood dozens of meters tall. But for these giants, it was not insurmountable. Some were tall enough to strike the wall directly.

Their attacks began to hit the defenders.

"Look! What's that? There are people! Are those our troops?!"

A soldier on the wall shouted in alarm.
