Falling Sun City was one of the largest cities within the Battlefield of Gods and Demons, vast enough to accommodate millions without the slightest feeling of crowding. That alone spoke volumes of its size—and the bigger a war city, the more remarkable its local treasures were bound to be. Otherwise, the various alien races wouldn't have fought over it so savagely, turning the ground red with blood and littering it with corpses.
They clearly understood the hidden benefits within.
The group moved swiftly forward, entering the rear courtyard of the City Lord's residence.
The courtyard was extremely spacious, though overgrown with wild vegetation. It had clearly been left untended for countless years, with many areas now barren and desolate.
But what first caught the eye upon entering... was a colossal ancient tree.
This tree was truly extraordinary—so strange that once seen, it could never be forgotten.
It soared into the sky, dozens of zhang tall, its dense canopy blotting out the sun. A powerful divine aura emanated from it—a sense of the passage of ages. The air was rich with the scent of time and decay, as though the tree had reached the final moment of its life.
But that wasn't the most astonishing part.
The leaves of the tree were like miniature red suns—radiant, crimson, blazing with fiery energy. Each leaf shimmered with heat and glowed like it was burning, constantly absorbing heaven and earth energy and transforming it into dazzling light.
Even more incredibly, long, crimson battle blades protruded from the tree itself. Each blade was etched with intricate, mystical red patterns and shimmered with blade light, slicing through the surrounding darkness like a rising sun. Their edge was limitless.
A gust of wind blew.
The blades swayed.
One by one, blades of saber energy slashed out from the tree and struck the ground. Deep grooves were carved into the earth—earth that gleamed with a metallic sheen. The ground was so hard that even a divine weapon might not leave a mark. And yet, these blades had cut cleanly through.
Clearly, these sabers were incredibly sharp, deadly beyond belief.
The most bizarre thing: these battle sabers had grown from the tree itself.
"How can this be? When did battle sabers start growing from trees? This is unreal! And this really is a tree—not a weapon forged through mystical means. It grew divine weapons? What kind of spiritual root is this?"
"Incredible. Truly a heaven-sent miracle," someone muttered. "I remember reading a curious tale in an old text called the Green Ox Record, which chronicled the travels of a powerful Daoist ox demon. It mentioned trees that grew bread, trees that birthed savage beasts... even trees that grew weapons."
Ye Zhiqiu muttered in awe, "I always thought those were nothing but idle tales to pass the time. I never imagined they were true. Weapons are supposed to be forged by craftsmen, or born from the natural convergence of heaven and earth in rare locations. But now, they're growing on trees. This world truly has no limits."
It shattered everything he thought he knew.
"Solar Golden Crow Tree."
As Yi Tianxing gazed at the wondrous tree, information surfaced in his mind.
This, unmistakably, was one of the unique treasures of Falling Sun City—the Solar Golden Crow Tree. A mystical tree that only grew in the Battlefield of Gods and Demons, it absorbed heaven and earth energy, condensed solar essence, and instead of bearing fruit, it produced battle sabers.
These blades were called Solar Golden Crow Blades (玄阶极品)—extremely high-grade divine weapons, nearly on par with heavenly treasures.
More than that, they held tremendous potential and battle power.
Solar Golden Crow Blade (玄阶极品):
Emits blazing Golden Crow Blade Light.
Can be tempered and refined to evolve into a personal divine weapon.
Possibility of comprehending Golden Crow Blade Intent, unlocking the power of the mythical Golden Crow.
Has a chance to unleash Golden Crow flames that burn all things.
Brutal, tyrannical, and highly destructive.
Can be upgraded into a divine armament or true magical treasure.
In the weapon classification system, Yellow Grade weapons were mere tools. Profound Grade weapons were already magic treasures. Earth Grade was the threshold for spirit treasures.
And these blades were top-tier Profound Grade, capable of slaying even physically enhanced cultivators in the Life Aperture Realm. For body refiners, such blades could amplify their strength severalfold.
"Congratulations, my King! Heaven's luck smiles upon you," Jia Xu said with a grin. "There must be at least a few thousand Solar Golden Crow Blades growing on this tree. Once harvested, this will be a tremendous boon for the Great Yi Dynasty. Our overall strength will skyrocket. These are no less than treasures of heaven and earth!"
Indeed, while not naturally formed spiritual artifacts, they were still born of heaven's essence.
Any strong cultivator in Great Yi would surely vie to obtain one and refine it into their life-bound weapon.
"A great treasure, indeed," Yi Tianxing nodded, pleased. "This must be part of Falling Sun City's accumulated legacy. Each of you may take one. The rest shall be stored for future rewards."
With a wave of his hand, several blades detached from the tree and flew into the hands of Jia Xu and the others.
"Thank you, my King!"
Fu Hongxue caught his blade and bowed deeply in thanks.
The moment he grasped it, golden flames erupted from the saber, trying to incinerate his arm.
Howl!!
A faint cry echoed from within the blade—as if a Golden Crow was spreading its wings and screeching.
But Fu Hongxue did not flinch. With a single thought, he released his powerful saber intent, which surged into the weapon and suppressed its rebellious energy. The golden fire receded and returned to the blade.
"A fine saber," he said with admiration. As a saberman, he knew exactly what made a good blade—and this one was perfect, free of any signs of artificial forging.
It could slice jade like tofu.
Yi Tianxing then swiftly harvested all the remaining Solar Golden Crow Blades from the tree and stored them in his Hongmeng Heavenly Emperor Tower.
There were thousands of them—a major windfall.
"Look! What's happening to the tree? The leaves are falling… and burning!"
Lu Zhishen pointed in surprise.
"The tree must be dying…" Ye Zhiqiu murmured.
With the blades gone, the radiant leaves began to fall one by one, each turning into crimson flames as they descended—falling onto the tree, the earth… a spectacular blaze of life's final brilliance.
The tree caught fire. Its surroundings became a sea of flames.
"This tree must have used all its life force over the ages to support the blades," Yi Tianxing said. "Once they were removed, it lost its last vestige of vitality."
He did not intervene—it could not be stopped.
No one knew what had happened in this place before the battlefield was opened. But time spares no one.
The group watched silently as the wondrous tree was engulfed.
And then, as the flames died down… something else appeared.
At the very spot where the ancient tree once stood, a small red sapling had sprouted.
It was a miniature replica of the fallen Solar Golden Crow Tree.
"Rebirth through fire… new life forged in death. The old tree lives on through inheritance. This is the new Solar Golden Crow Tree."
Yi Tianxing smiled with satisfaction—this unique treasure had not been lost.
He could feel the powerful life energy emanating from the sapling—it was vibrant, a newborn flame of hope.
They continued onward.
Soon, a hot spring appeared before them.
The bubbling red water made it seem like a boiling pool of blood. One glance was enough to know that it was extraordinary.
"This is the Falling Sun Hot Spring," Yi Tianxing said. "Soaking in it can purify impurities from the body—cleansing marrow and refining bones. Even an ordinary person could become a young prodigy after bathing in this spring."
This was the second unique treasure—Falling Sun Hot Spring. An incredible place for body refinement, though extremely painful—like being burned alive from within. The longer one endured, the better the effect. Some might even give birth to true Golden Crow flames within.
It was an absolute treasure ground.
"My King, how many times can one use this spring? Any limits? If our entire army could bathe here, our military power would transform overnight," asked Qi Jiguang.
"There are no restrictions on who may enter," Yi Tianxing replied. "But the spring can only accommodate ten people at once, and a maximum of one hundred per day. Its power is not infinite—it must regenerate over time."
Yi Tianxing wanted his entire army to benefit—but such a process would take a very long time.
