Chapter 807 - Chapter 0796: The Real Battlefield

Upon reaching this altitude, the suction force from the Divine-Demonic Abyss erupted right on schedule. The moment it formed, a terrifying vortex appeared above the abyss, spiraling downward with unstoppable momentum, devouring everything in its path.

No living being was allowed to escape once caught in the abyss.

Once you enter the Abyss, there's no turning back!!

Unfortunately for the abyss, the Bone Raven Monarch was not among those affected. The powerful suction emanating from the abyss couldn't even shake its body. Its wings stirred the air as it soared through the void with ease, unbothered by the forces below. Even with the entire White Raven City resting on its back, there wasn't the slightest tremor — it felt as smooth as walking on solid ground. If not witnessed firsthand, no one would believe they were already high in the sky.

Even flying against the wind, the Bone Raven Monarch remained incredibly fast. With every wingbeat, it distanced itself further from the abyss below, eventually escaping the terrifying pull of that vortex without even realizing it.

"It really is a pit... such a massive Divine-Demonic Abyss."

Standing atop the city walls, Ye Zhiqiu swept his gaze across the surroundings. Looking down from above, the true scale of the abyss became clear — a colossal chasm, pitch-black and unfathomable, like a demonic domain yawning open. Nothing could be seen inside, only endless darkness. It resembled a demon's mouth, gaping wide.

Just one glance was enough to make anyone shiver, let alone stepping inside.

This pit was simply enormous.

"So this is the Battlefield of Gods and Demons? It's huge—far bigger than the abyss. Boundless. So many alien races, so many monsters... it really is the Battlefield of Gods and Demons."

Lu Zhishen spoke in awe, his eyes wide as he looked around.

The true Battlefield of Gods and Demons and the abyss were two entirely different extremes. Everywhere one looked, there was slaughter. War was omnipresent. The sounds of brutal combat and agonizing screams were ceaseless, an endless tide of chaos.

Across the battlefield, ancient cities stood tall.

Some were small, capable of housing hundreds of thousands of beings. Others were massive enough to shelter millions. Each exuded a heavy, ancient aura, visibly scarred by the passage of time. Many bore the wounds of fierce battles — walls shattered, buildings collapsed. Whatever wars had taken place here had left a legacy of destruction hard to imagine.

The wars and bloodshed all revolved around these cities.

The blood of countless warriors had long dyed the city walls red.

Every major race — alien beasts, intelligent monsters, and savage creatures — fought desperately to seize control of these ancient strongholds. Clearly, there were great benefits to holding a city. Offense and defense shifted with every moment. The struggle was eternal.

Humans, werewolves, vampires, kobolds, minotaurs, winged folk, treants, elves, dwarves — all of them could be seen. The entire Battlefield of Gods and Demons was a vast, brutal meat grinder as far as the eye could see.

Carnage. Carnage. Carnage!!

The ground was littered with corpses. Rivers of blood had soaked the land.

A thick, suffocating stench of blood blanketed the air, forming a terrifying blood cloud above the battlefield. It churned, growing denser, dyeing the sky a haunting crimson.

It was chaos. It was hell.

This was the most terrifying meat grinder — a battlefield of true despair.

Warriors from all races had eyes glowing blood-red.

"Let me give you a piece of advice: if you want to survive on the Battlefield of Gods and Demons, the first thing you must do is seize a War City. Only those who control one have the qualifications to live here. Otherwise, your chances of survival are slim. Don't think other races are your only enemies. Your real enemies are beyond your imagination."

The Bone Raven Monarch's voice echoed through White Raven City.

"So what's so special about these War Cities?"Yi Tianxing asked quickly.

"The cities themselves aren't special. But at night, the battlefield becomes a nightmare. Far more terrifying, far more deranged enemies appear. Without a War City as your stronghold, you'll barely survive out in the wild. With your current strength, you have a real chance of seizing one. Moreover, these cities contain rare resources unique to the battlefield. Whoever controls them will grow far faster."

The Bone Raven Monarch's voice remained cold and calm.

"Can White Raven City be used as a War City? Could it become the foundation of the Great Yi Dynasty?"Yi Tianxing asked again.

"This era has only just begun. The Battlefield of Gods and Demons is opening for the first time. My Bone Raven Clan is forbidden from participating or interfering. White Raven City cannot serve as your War City. However, we have a contract. As long as you offer enough souls, you may enter White Raven City, but you may not remain. Once the exchange is complete, you must leave. As for the one million souls promised — as long as they fall by your hands, my clan will collect them until the contract is fulfilled."

The monarch's tone was flat.

This time, the Bone Raven Monarch could not intervene. The true protagonists of this battlefield were the various races of the Eternal Continent. Whether they survived or not, he didn't know — but the one million souls promised would not be abandoned. Whether they came from other races or from the warriors of Great Yi themselves, it didn't matter.

"Until all my Great Yi soldiers fall in battle, your Bone Raven Clan shall not touch a single one of their souls. Only if we are completely annihilated, and the one million souls remain unfulfilled, may you collect from us."

Yi Tianxing declared firmly.

Bodies may perish, but souls must not be destroyed. Once a soul was shattered, there was no reincarnation, no rebirth. He would never accept that. In life, they were the pillars of Great Yi; in death, they were its immortal spirits.

The Eternal World held the cycle of reincarnation. Death was merely the end of one chapter — and the beginning of the next.

"Very well. Let's see if the mighty Destiny Dynasty can live up to its name."

The Bone Raven Monarch replied indifferently.

He didn't care whose souls he collected — only the quantity mattered.

"All forces prepare. Form ranks. Prepare to enter the battlefield!"

Yi Tianxing took a deep breath and issued his command.

The army swiftly gathered in the square. The Five Great Legions formed up in perfect order. Every soldier's face was filled with determination, hands gripping weapons tightly. On the battlefield, the only things one could rely on were the comrades at their side — and the weapons in their hands.

"Good. One final warning — the most terrifying enemy is not the other races."

The Bone Raven Monarch warned again:

"The Battlefield of Gods and Demons lies just below. I will send you down. Whether you survive or not depends on your strength."

As his words fell, Yi Tianxing and the others suddenly felt a mysterious power envelop them.

In the blink of an eye, they were transported away from White Raven City.

Below, War Cities stood tall across the battlefield.

These cities appeared to be relics from the previous era, or perhaps unique manifestations born from the battlefield itself.

At that moment, one massive War City — capable of sustaining millions — was engulfed in a brutal siege. Its gates stood wide open. Outside, a sea of alien races and human warriors clashed in a desperate struggle. Blood had filled the once-dry moat, turning it into a literal river of blood. The gate had become a meat grinder, pulverizing all who entered.

Within the city, the chaos was no less. Murder and battle were everywhere.

From every direction, alien reinforcements surged toward the city. Everyone wanted to claim it.

The name of this War City was — Sunset City!!

Boom!!

At that exact moment, the battlefield outside Sunset City shook — without warning, over a million soldiers descended at once. Each was clad in gleaming armor, weapons flashing with cold light.

There was no open ground to land on. The moment they arrived, they crashed into an alien force already present.

"What the hell?"

"More arrivals in the battlefield? Humans?"

"Damn it, when did the humans become so rich and powerful? Full-body armor? No — these are regular human troops! Argh!!"

There were tens of thousands of alien warriors in the area — all caught off guard by the sudden arrival. Before they could react, they were overwhelmed by the battle-hardened troops of Great Yi's Five Legions.

Swords flashed. Blades carved through flesh.

A single strike split a ratman in half.

A spear pierced another clean through the heart.

Blood painted the battlefield.

In just one exchange, every alien warrior was wiped out. Against the elite legions, these tens of thousands couldn't put up any meaningful resistance. They were crushed instantly.

"Vermilion Bird Legion, form ranks!!"With a sweep of his spear, Yang Ye stepped forward. Behind him, the standard bearer raised the Vermilion Bird Battle Banner, fluttering high.

The Vermilion Bird soldiers followed without hesitation, forming up in a square phalanx to one side. Dressed in crimson battle armor, they looked like a sea of fire blazing across the battlefield.

Blades and spears in hand, their masked helmets revealed only their eyes — they stood tall like statues of iron.

"Azure Dragon Legion, form ranks!!"Qi Jiguang gave a sharp order, gripping his spear. Behind him, the Azure Dragon Banner fluttered proudly.

The legion quickly rallied behind him, forming their own formation.

"Demonbreaker Legion, form ranks!!"Zhang Fei roared, his voice thunderous.

The Demonbreaker Banner, engraved with golden thunderclouds and streaked with lightning, soared into the sky.

The Demonbreaker Legion gathered swiftly and formed ranks.

"Snow Rabbit Legion, form ranks!!"

"War Tiger Legion, form ranks!!"

Xue Kunlun and Wang Dahu issued their commands in unison.

The two legions swiftly fell into formation.

East, west, south, north — each direction was secured by a legion. The Demonbreaker Legion stood at the center.

All of this happened within a few short breaths after their arrival.

The formations stood like mountains. Their killing intent surged into the sky.
