Chapter 789 - Chapter 0779 – Wondrous Relic: The Book of Truth

"What a fine battle axe—born naturally from Yin and Yang. I cultivate both body and Qi, and while I have no shortage of magical treasures, I've long lacked a heavy weapon suitable for use with my physical true body. This axe—whether in weight or power—is exactly what I need. With this axe in hand, my physical combat strength can increase by more than double. Now I just need to learn a top-tier axe technique."

Yi Tianxing was secretly overjoyed.

He reached out and gripped the axe. With a simple exertion of force, he lifted it easily. Given his terrifying strength—measured in hundreds of thousands of kilograms—the axe's weight posed no pressure at all. In fact, it felt completely natural in his hand.

This axe could perfectly channel and express the power of his physical body.

"Excellent. First, refine it into a Life-bound Treasure—an Open Heaven Divine Weapon—and elevate its grade to a Profound-grade Wondrous Treasure. Its power will certainly rise further."

With a single thought, the axe appeared within his body and entered his divine sea, coming into contact with the Hongmeng Heavenly Emperor Pagoda. Naturally, it merged into the pagoda. By now, the pagoda had already reached twenty tiers and contained one Chaotic World at the foundation, and twenty Small Thousand Worlds within each floor. Each of those worlds had expanded to a staggering radius of over 9,000 miles, approaching 10,000.

The power devoured from that Dark Star had been immense and terrifying.

It had vastly boosted the pagoda's foundational strength.

The axe entered the pagoda and immediately appeared within the chaos at the tower's base.

Crack!!

The axe seemed to be seized by an invisible giant hand and was fiercely swung down toward the chaos.

With this slash, black-and-white Yin-Yang axe light shot forward like a streak of silk, cleaving through the chaos at lightning speed. Wherever the light reached, the Yin and Yang forces ground everything around into dust like a great millstone. In the blink of an eye, heaven and earth were split—pure Qi rose, and turbid Qi sank. One became Heaven, the other Earth. But the axe was not satisfied with merely opening a small space.

The base of the Hongmeng Heavenly Emperor Pagoda connected to a true Chaotic World—a world birthed by the spirit pearl atop the tower. This incredible power allowed heavenly treasures to enter the chaos, carve out a world, and be directly transplanted into the pagoda—becoming part of it. This ability was absolutely defiant of natural order.

Moreover, the size of the space an item could initially carve out in the chaos determined the size of the world it could bring with it.

So when treasures were fused into the pagoda, the initial space they opened varied. Some were better suited for carving out space, others not. But so long as a space was created, it counted as a success. The size could be expanded later—but that would require massive resources. The larger the initial space, the more resources could be saved later.

The axe continued swinging, cleaving toward the chaotic edges. Each arc of axe light expanded the space further. More and more chaos was crushed and transformed into energy to nourish the world's essence.

Under the tremendous power of Yin and Yang, the newly opened world rapidly expanded and stabilized. This axe was terrifyingly sharp—huge swaths of chaos were cleaved open.

One mile!Three miles!Ten miles!…

The axe never tired. It continued slashing, and in moments had carved out a vast space spanning hundreds of miles. It only paused when it approached the threshold of a thousand-mile diameter. At that point, the axe naturally merged with this new world, linking itself to the world's core.

Ding!!

The Hongmeng Heavenly Emperor Pagoda trembled. A new section extended from the top—transforming it from twenty to twenty-one tiers.

Simultaneously, source energy from within the pagoda began pouring into the newly born internal world, rapidly expanding it. In no time, it broke past the Cave World limit and became a Small Thousand World. The other worlds inside the pagoda slightly shrank to support its growth, though the reduction was minimal. With twenty other tower-worlds and one chaotic world nurturing it, this expansion was practically effortless.

Once stabilized, the new world matched the size of the others—maintaining a radius of 9,000 miles.

And the axe—now fully integrated—had undergone a complete transformation into a Profound-grade Wondrous Weapon, its aura vastly more terrifying.

"Twenty-one inner tower worlds... This treasure is getting more and more outrageous," Yi Tianxing murmured with a bitter smile.

Though he'd tried to restrain himself from fusing too many treasures into the pagoda, they kept accumulating unconsciously.

"Now, what exactly is this thing?"

He looked down at a black pearl in his hand, turning it over curiously. A trace of doubt flickered in his heart.

This black bead had come from the shattered Dark Star. It had been hidden deep within and clearly wasn't an ordinary object. The Heavenless Tome had failed to identify its use, only revealing that it was a wondrous relic—the only clue provided.

But what was a wondrous relic? What did it do? Yi Tianxing had no idea. He couldn't refine it or fuse it into the pagoda. It resisted all integration.

"Hmm? Can I take a look at that black pearl in your hand?"

Just then, Anima looked up from the Eternal Coins and fixed her gaze on the bead. Her eyes lit up with excitement.

"You know what it is?"Yi Tianxing raised a brow and handed the bead over without hesitation. He wasn't worried. In this place, no one could steal anything from him. If he lost control, he could flatten the entire Darkblood Town.

"It's a wondrous relic! A true miracle—containing unfathomable creation and power. It's not a treasure, nor an artifact, nor an alchemical product. It is a miracle born of heaven and earth. I've only ever seen mention of it in the Book of Truth!"

Anima spoke rapidly, her eyes gleaming.

"Yes! The Book of Truth might have a record of this bead."

She quickly pulled out a large bronze tome—about a meter long—and laid it on a workbench. It gleamed with an eternal luster, its engravings ancient and mysterious.

"Is this... the Book of Truth?"Yi Tianxing asked, intrigued. The artifact before him was clearly extraordinary.

"That's right. This is the Book of Truth. It contains all truths of the world—recording countless secrets of heaven and earth. Wondrous relics are documented within it."

Anima opened the tome. Each page was cast from bronze, inscribed with ancient runes.

"Knowledge creates civilization. Civilization gives rise to wisdom. Wisdom returns to truth. Truth is eternal."

That was the text on the first page.

Just reading it filled the heart and mind with a mysterious aura. Clarity flooded the consciousness. Puzzles once unsolvable were now understood. Epiphanies sparked in rapid succession.

At the same time, a puppet emerged from the Book of Truth, laughing playfully.

"Truth is everywhere. Truth is eternal. Only by revering truth can one obtain it. But truth is not cheap. To glimpse truth, one must pay the price. Esteemed Anima, are you prepared to pay that price?"

Its two eyes focused on Anima as it spoke in a crisp voice.

"Yes, yes! I offer a sacrifice. I wish to inquire about wondrous relics from the great Lord of Truth."

Anima answered eagerly.

"Accepted. With a sufficient offering, you may access knowledge of wondrous relics."

She immediately began placing items before the tome—rune guns, rare ores, alchemical goods, blueprints—all vanished silently into the puppet's possession.

Finally, when she offered a powerful exotic treasure, the puppet nodded.

"The offering matches the knowledge sought. You are permitted to read."

It vanished, and new text began to appear on the bronze pages.

"This Book of Truth... requires sacrifice? And to a specific being—'the Lord of Truth'? There's a whole ritual system here…"

Yi Tianxing frowned slightly. The mention of a sacrifice to a defined deity, via a book and altar, hinted at something deeper and more mysterious.

"It's a treasure, yes—but it's said to connect to the Lord of Truth. Through the Book of Truth, one can obtain knowledge in exchange for offerings. Knowledge is truth. Truth is everything," Anima explained.

Yi Tianxing joined her in reading the text on the page:

"Wondrous relics—rare anomalies of heaven and earth, born from miracles. They are neither treasures nor spiritual artifacts. Not within the Three Realms, nor bound by the Five Elements. They may be sacrificed to gain boundless rewards. Each wondrous relic contains great fortune."

"Wondrous relics…" Yi Tianxing whispered.

"They can be used to forge altars. Objects of sacrifice."

"Sacrifice… sacrifice…"

The Book of Truth offered no detailed explanation—but it was clear:

Wondrous relics are miracles, not of this world. Capable of being sacrificed for unimaginable benefits.
