Zenless stepped forward with fiery eyes, but was suddenly stopped by Gure. "Wait, let us handle him."
"Why should the two of you struggle against him alone!" retorted Zenless, annoyed.
Chairo smiled with confidence. "Relax, Zenless. We have a way."
The two Hydra members simultaneously wounded themselves, collecting blood in their palms. In a coordinated motion, they smeared the blood on their foreheads, their hands forming a series of intricate seals ending with interlocked fists.
"CONVERGENCE!"
Two lights—metallic gray and earthen brown—merged into a single, violently swirling ball of energy. As the light faded, a new figure stood with hair streaked gray and brown. "I am Guro, the fusion of Gure and Chairo." Zenless looked at Guro seriously.
"Can you transform like Dairoki?" Zenless asked hopefully.
"Yes, though not as powerful as him since we are only a fusion of two," Guro replied. That was enough for Zenless.
Guro's body began to change. Glossy black scales covered his skin, his body compacting like living granite. From the cracks in his skin, a yellow earthen light emanated. One additional long head sprouted, its eyes shining a solid yellow without pupils. His right hand transformed into a giant hammer, while his left became a claw, and a tail grew, completing his hybrid form.
"LET'S FINISH HIM!" shouted Zenless.
Zephyr, sensing the terrifying aura, immediately prepared himself. In the distance, Kazan, still fighting Dairoki, glanced over, sensing a similar energy. "LEON! DON'T LET THEM FUSE! AFTER THAT, HELP ZEPHYR!"
Leon, who was facing the two Hydra, understood immediately. "Isolation Field!" A purple energy cube trapped his two opponents. He then immediately shot off to help Zephyr.
"Brother Zephyr!" Leon greeted as he arrived by his side.
Zephyr smiled. "Leon, let's defeat them together."
Guro opened the attack immediately. "World-Cracker Impact!" His giant hammer struck the ground, sending a powerful seismic wave.
Zephyr and Leon leaped to avoid it. "Storm Needle!" Zephyr released needles of lightning, while Leon used "Dark Fracture Slash", creating destructive energy fissures from within.
"Bastion of the Living Mountain!" Guro summoned stone armor and a protective dome, which absorbed all their attacks.
Leon wasn't idle. "Riftrend Barrage!" He moved super fast, leaving trails of spatial cracks around Guro.
Zenless joined the fray personally. "Lance of Judgment!" His golden spear shot forth rapidly.
"Whirlwind Guard!" Zephyr appeared, deflecting with a spinning wind shield, while launching a counterattack. "Zephyr's Cross", leaving an electric trail before delivering a cross slash.
"Prison of the Adamantite Hand!" Guro trapped Zephyr with five steel-clad stone pillars.
But Leon was ready. "Eclipse Dimension Erasure!" His black circle erased the pillars.
"Cataclysm's Descent!" Guro leaped high, his hammer slamming into the earth, turning the battlefield into ruins.
Zephyr and Leon evaded perfectly. "Dragon of the Storm!" Zephyr dove down like living lightning, while Leon used "Tenebris Sectio", blades of shadow attacking from all directions.
Their teamwork was perfect. When Zephyr attacked from above, Leon pressured from below. When Guro focused on Leon, Zephyr attacked from the side.
Amid the fierce battle...
"AT LAST!" Nix shouted from the final gate. The chains binding the figure inside finally shattered.
The figure emerged, his nine magnificent fox tails spreading out. "Thank you for freeing me," he said.
But suddenly, without warning, the figure launched a surprise attack towards Nix!
However, Nix easily blocked the attack, his eyes narrowing dangerously. "Trying to play games with me? That's not a good idea."
