Prince Alexander was distraught. He walked back, and forth, and around the statue to check if Odette would come out of the statue soon.
He still believed that Odette had been taken by the Sun Goddess herself as the crack between the goddess' statues was gone after Odette disappeared.
So he waited… and waited… until almost an hour had passed and there was no sign of Odette returning.
Prince Alexander's gaze darkened as he began to get impatient. He stood in front of the statue and demanded, "Sun Goddess, I am begging you to bring her back to me. I need her to be by my side, or else I might have to do something unspeakable."
…
There was no response from the statue, which was very rare because the statue was usually very receptive to the crown prince.
Prince Alexander's lips thinned as he opened his palm and the holy blade slowly came up from the ground until he could hold the hilt.
