Chapter 70 - CHAPTER 78

"Are there dangers of taking the red pill?

Marcello Knox, a 60-year-old man who took the red pill, died of exhaustion the next day after fighting all night. His son, Marcello Jr., is suing the Lee Group.

"Choose body shape or choose lifespan?

The famous biologist Dimitru Araya speculated that the green pills of the Hudson Group may have hidden dangers and that long-term use may shorten the life of the user.

"Is it a conscientious enterprise or a virus merchant?

According to a factory employee of the Hudson Group who wished to remain anonymous, the raw materials for making the tri-colored pills come from rats, and the processing process is disgusting."

Half a month later, Carl, sitting in the office of the Hudson Group, looked at the newspapers handed over by David and asked calmly:

"Have you found out who's behind this?"

Ever since Tony became the spokesperson for the tri-colored pills and advertised them on the back of his iron suit, sales of the pills have skyrocketed around the world.

The huge influx of wealth has made many capitalists jealous, but it has also offended many health product companies and weight-loss drug makers.

In addition, the Hudson Group isn't a local enterprise; it came from Sokovia, and its chairman, Carl, is a yellow-skinned outsider — which makes some senior officials even more uneasy.

So, even though the Hudson Group has a close relationship with the deeply-rooted Stark Group, it still finds itself under attack.

In recent days, negative stories about the tri-colored pills have appeared in major media outlets, and countless internet trolls have been fueling controversy and calling for a boycott.

Some government agencies have also started sending inspectors to the Hudson Group's offices and factories every few days.

The aim is clear: to curb the Hudson Group's momentum and keep it from growing into a dominant force in the pharmaceutical industry in New York.

"It has basically been investigated, and they haven't tried hard to conceal it."

David nodded.

Carl sneered when he heard this.

"It seems they really do look down on us!"

In the eyes of these business tycoons who have been ruling New York for years, the Hudson Group is just an outsider who's been here less than a year. Why should they be afraid?

They are sending a clear message: if you submit and cut them in on the profits, you can stay. But if you resist, we'll destroy you and send you back to Sokovia.

"Hasn't Amelia been clamoring to come to New York? Tell her it's time. Let's show these people the true methods of the Hudson Group!"

He doesn't care about ordinary competition; Jack can handle that. But if the opposition wants to use unconventional methods, then he'll respond in kind — directly from the source.

Now, while S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra are entangled and distracted, it's a perfect opportunity to resolve this once and for all and to assert their power.

"She'll be very pleased when she hears this!"

David nodded, a sinister smile creeping across his face.

Carl originally took in a total of twelve people, taught them the twelve forms of Xingyi, hired professionals to provide them with specialized training, and required them to take the pills he researched to enhance their physical fitness.

Later, during a bloody, years-long struggle against various forces in Sokovia, nine fell in missions and battles, and only three remained.

These survivors discarded their original names and adopted code names that Carl chose for them during their training, becoming his most trusted subordinates.

They are Leo , Amelia and David.

Leo is primarily responsible for security and intelligence, while David is a secretary and liaison.

The only woman who remained from the original twelve, Li Wu — now called Amelia — is the most skilled and ruthless of all. She handles the tasks that require decisive action against those who undermine the Hudson Group.

Three days later, the chairman of a local pharmaceutical company in New York was driving his luxury sports car to a clandestine villa where he was supposed to meet a Hollywood actress.

As he crossed a four-way intersection, a dump truck loaded with stones suddenly came from the side and struck him directly, sending both him and his car flying.

Then a woman wearing a baseball cap hopped down from the truck and walked casually toward the rich man, who was injured and stranded under his own vehicle.

Ignoring his pleas for help, she tossed a lit lighter into the pool of gasoline that had leaked from the wreckage, turned around, and walked away quietly as the car exploded.

At noon that day, at Manhattan's cruise terminal, two elderly men in their fifties boarded a yacht under the protection of numerous bodyguards and fell into a cheerful conversation.

But just a hundred meters away from the dock, there was a huge explosion — the entire luxury yacht was instantly engulfed in a ball of flame — leaving everyone on the dock stunned.

At this moment, a sexy blonde woman in the crowd pressed a button on a small remote control in her leather bag, casually put on her sunglasses, and walked toward her red sports car.

Later that night, in the villa of Old John — the Director of the New York Food and Drug Administration — a hole suddenly opened in his forehead while he was sitting in his living room listening to music and tasting red wine.

On the rooftop across from his villa, a woman in black quickly put away her sniper rifle and disappeared into the night.

In this way, for five consecutive days, most of the fellow capitalists who had smeared and slandered the Hudson Group, and the officials who believed their positions made them untouchable, fell victim in a series of "accidents"— car crashes, explosions, assassinations, falls from buildings, and mysterious disappearances.

Because of this, the fake news about the tri-colored pills was quickly overshadowed by reports of the deaths of numerous well-known figures.

"Boss, except for this Senator Stern — who has gone to Washington — all the rest have been dealt with."

In the Hudson Group's office, a blonde woman wearing thick-framed glasses and dressed quietly and cutely placed a folder with a photo attached on Carl's desk.

"Amelia, thank you for your hard work!"

Nodding at her, Carl took the folder in his hand and began to leaf through it.

Amelia stared at the profile of his face, her eyes filled with a mixture of fanaticism and admiration.

"It's not hard. If the boss needs me, I can go to Washington this afternoon, break his neck, and dispose of his body in the ocean to feed the sharks."

"No need. I have other plans for this person. You've been busy these past few days — you should rest first."

Carl put down the folder and nodded warmly at Amelia.

Congressman Stern, who had supported the attack on the Hudson Group, was a Hydra mole within the US government, if his memory was correct. He was probably under heavy Hydra protection.

If Amelia went, there might be danger. So this time, Carl decided to handle it himself.
