[3rd POV]
A lot, the answer to her question was a lot. Rimuru had taken nearly an hour to find every single useful book, asking Great Sage every single time he looked a book on whether or not it would be useful to his kingdom, and he had found that almost every single one of them was useful in some way shape or form, even the most basic magic books would be huge in the hands of his subordinates.
He wondered what his newest recruits would use these for, especially the borderline psychotic purple headed menace, a menace who was absolutely horrid at cooking. He decided to invest in a dozen cookbooks for her, mostly so he'd never have to eat her cooking again, at least, not when it tasted as awful as it did at the moment.
It was like a biohazard or something, and even with his iron stomach and regeneration, he feared for his life every time she asked to feed him. And the red headed Kijin, Benimaru didn't help, with the two of them having this strange rivalry on who could get out of eating her cooking, by pushing it on the other.
Benimaru tended to win that on, much to Rimuru's horror.
Watching Rimuru pick out all of his books, Wanda found herself a little surprised with the selections. They were quite interesting, and almost all of them were on magic, combat, or cooking funnily enough.
"Not going to take any books on chakra?" Wanda asked in interest, as the androgynous man looked at her.
"Chakra? Like the thing from Naruto?" Rimuru asked in surprise, he remembered the anime from his past life, as it had been one of the first he had ever watched when he was younger, alongside Dragon Ball, One Piece, and YuYu Hakusho.
"Mmhmm, Naruto-kun traded me quite a number of scrolls in return for some books and ramen. They're on the bookshelf farther down, I believe you should be able to utilize them, and if not, I am open to giving you the ability to utilize Chakra, but the price will be quite large" Wanda said, as it was true.
Giving someone like Rimuru chakra would massively boost his potential, so much so that she was confident he would be quite a lot stronger than his canon self should he access it. He could even get mutated and stronger evolutions in the future, therefore completely changing his future.
She herself knew that the second she stepped into that world, it was very likely she'd get a lot of different skills, thanks to the Voice of the World. And there were a few skills she was interested in copying for herself, which she should theoretically be able to do with her magic.
Mostly Ultimate Skills like Azazoth and such. None of them were as strong as what she had, but they would be neat to have. Plus it was more so because it sounded cool than anything. Rimuru was pretty badass for a reason, and those skills were a large part of it.
"I-I'll have to think on that one. And since Naruto comes here, does that mean other fictional universes exist? Like dragon ball?" Rimuru asked as Wanda nodded.
"Mmhmm, pretty much any and all fictional universes you have ever imagined are real. Even the most horrifying ones that even a being like me would have to be...careful of" Wanda said, as three universes came to mind.
One with a Money that was the OG OP character. One with mad horrors that would break the greatest of minds, and the last of which had so many overpowered characters that she couldn't even count them all, some of which could actually kill her, and some of which were impossible to kill.
Yeah, she wasn't interested in even thinking of visiting any of them. Especially not the first one. She didn't want to mess with the Monkey, she had no idea how strong he actually was, and she'd much rather not find out herself. The dude was impossible to kill, even for her, having like 12 different forms of immortality was bullshit.
There were also universes with ones that saw reality as nothing but fiction, as a story that they could mold to their whims. She remembered the woman who looked down upon it all as nothing more than chess, and was considered one of the most powerful beings in reality. Another universe she wasn't interested in entering or interacting with.
Rimuru watched in confusion as Wanda grumbled, before she shook it off.
"Sorry, I get annoyed when thinking of all the universes that seem so interesting, but are...better off not ventured into, even for me" Wanda said with a sigh, knowing that she'd likely need to grow a bit in terms of "hax" before connecting her shop to those places.
"...Valid" Rimuru said in response, understanding what she was talking about. He knew that there was a ridiculous amount of beings that could atomize him, and he wasn't even that strong. Even thinking of the beings that could actually kill Wanda was...not a nice thought.
"Well, since you've picked out all your books, are you done, or would you like some food? I've got the best ramen in the world! At least that's what Naruto always says" Wanda asked, as the slime hummed before nodding.
"Can I get three bowls to go?" Rimuru asked, as Wanda just snapped her fingers as three bowls of ramen floated to her from the kitchen, before depositing in their "To Go Bowls" that she had recently made for them. She had made them specifically because of Naruto's ask, and now it was being commonly used by college students that shopped from her.
Her ramen was that cheap and delicious, and was the perfect option for struggling college kids. Not to mention the fact that the college books she sold were far cheaper than anywhere else, and were quite literally the exact same.
She felt for the college kids, as she knew it was a living nightmare for them.
In actuality, 90% of the books she was selling were far cheaper than in other places, and what they normally would be worth. As in, some of them were 50% cheaper than in other places, with the one that was the biggest difference being 75% off from normal. She didn't like to be scummy, and priced them for what was fair, as she literally didn't need the money and just took it for fun.
She was thinking of making some sort of system to change out money for her friends from other universes. This would involve finding books from their universe and exchanging it for points, and then these points could be used for her rarer books and even other things. But she was still contemplating that one, as it could make things a lot more complicated than right now.
"Anything else, Rimuru?" Wanda asked, as the man shook his head. He had only asked for the ramen so he didn't get bugged by Shion to eat her awful soup or whatever else she tried to make. He was also interested because if Naruto himself said it was the best, then it had to be the best in the world.
"Nope. Oh, and if you get any more magic books could you reserve them for me? Great Sage says that your books are almost guaranteed to always be useful to me and my people" Rimuru asked as Wanda nodded.
"That's fine. In return I'd ask that you find some books from your world to exchange, the magic system of your world is fascinating and I'd love to learn more about it" Wanda asked as the man hummed before accepting it. It shouldn't be that hard to accomplish, with the rate his village is growing he should be able to get all sorts of books in no time.
"Alright Wanda, I'll be off. If I'm gone any longer, my subordinates will throw a fit. I'll have to bring them next time so they stop freaking out whenever I come here" Rimuru said as he waved bye to Wanda, and exited the store.
Wanda watched him go with a smile, hoping that next time he brings some interesting books, and brings along the pink bundle of chaos that is Milim Nava, as she knew that she would be showing up soon.
Seeing that she was alone in the shop again, Wanda had only one thought on her mind as she returned to reading.
'...Let's hope I get some more books soon!'
