Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: The Mother of Dragons

[3rd POV]

"Who are you? Where is this? How has this appeared in my throne room?" Daenerys asked almost immediately, as Wanda raised an eyebrow, amused as Barristan pulled his blade from his hip.

"Your grace, get behind me! We know not of what this woman is, she could be a witch or perhaps a demon!" Barristan yelled, pulling Daenerys behind him as the other two in the room moved closer, this being Grey Worm and Missandei.

"My name is Wanda Maximoff. This is my bookstore, the Emporium! And through magic of course! What else could do such a thing?" Wanda replied with amusement, as the blade that was in Barristan's hand flew to her, and she placed it under the desk.

"No weapons are permitted inside. Once you leave you'll get it back, Ser Barristan" Wanda added, before looking into the eyes of the white haired, violet eyed Queen.

'Huh...she's gorgeous' Wanda thought, genuinely surprised. She had only seen two other women of similar beauty in her life so far, this being Death and Raven. The woman was born from the Valyrian ethnicity, giving her the unique violet eyes and hair.

Their eyes widened in fear at the blatant display of magic, while Daenerys kept her face steeled, trying to remain as calm as possible in front of this unknown woman. She had access to three dragons, so she could not, and would not show fear in front of her.

"Why have you brought this...shop to my lands?" Daenerys asked, as Wanda gazed into her eyes, before smiling.

"Because I want customers of course! I also would love to learn more of your world, the history of your lands is quite interesting, as well as those little "Dragons" of yours. Too bad they're not growing as they should be" Wanda replied with a small smile, which caused Daenerys to narrow her eyes.

""Your World"? And what do you know about my children?" Daenerys asked, speaking of the three dragons she had "Birthed" Drogon, Rhaenal, and Viserion. None of them were all that large yet, as Daenerys had recently locked them up below the lands that she ruled, Meereen was what it was called.

"There are many worlds out there, Daenerys Targaryen. Yours is but one of them. As for your children, you are not allowing them to grow properly by locking them up in that basement of yours. They will grow far faster by remaining free. It is simply up to you to keep control over them so they will not kill anyone else" Wanda replied, explaining the reason as to why the dragons were better off running about.

Drogon had ended up burning a three year old child alive, and that was why Daenerys had locked him up. And as horrible as that was, he was better off running about, at least, if Daenerys truly wished to use them to conquer Westeros. As her ancestor had a far larger dragon when he went on to conquer it.

"How do you know this? How do you know of my children? Of who we are?" Daenerys asked her next question, growing more and more wary of the woman in front of her, and equally as interested in who she was.

"Magic is a powerful thing, Daenerys. Using it to learn some information on a few things is laughably easy for someone such as myself. Now, do you wish to buy any books from my selection? I've taken the liberty of putting out books on magic and dragons. Ah, and should you not have the money to buy them, I also take exchanges of books in return" Wanda said, as she looked to the side, the bookshelves warping as they showed only that which the four in front of her would be able to comprehend.

Nothing futuristic, nothing too crazy. Mostly because a world like Planetos would do well without any sorts of gunpowder or anything else like that. It would likely lead to more negatives than positives.

"And if we chose to leave? Or if I return with more men?" Daenerys asked, as Wanda looked at her before giggling.

"Then I wouldn't stop you. But I do warn you that should you attempt to attack me, you'll likely be losing said men" Wanda said simply, as she would simply think of them dying and they would. There wasn't a single being in the A Song of Ice and Fire that could even touch her.

At her words, they all tensed slightly, as it was clear that that was a threat, or more of a warning. And as much as Daenerys wasn't pleased with the way the woman was speaking to her, even she could tell that this woman was far from normal, and if she could simply summon the blade of Barristan, it was likely that she could do far more.

"And what sort of...books do you sell?" Daenerys asked, as she gazed around the shop, only now noticing the amount of books. It was an impressive amount, as books in her world were incredibly expensive, due to the production of them all being by hand and not printing presses or anything else.

"All sorts really, books on war, magic, dragons, history, herbs, farming methods, anything you can think of I sell. And many of that may prove useful to you in your conquest of Westeros" Wanda said, as Daenerys began to look more and more interested at the books, before walking over to the shelves and looking them over.

"The Art of War?" Daenerys muttered, as she looked the book over, before noticing several other books on war, her interest growing more and more as she looked them all over. Barristan and the others looked at their Queen in worry, but followed her nonetheless.

"Look over the books, find whatever ones you are interested in. This..bookstore may prove useful" Daenerys ordered, as the others looked at each other before nodding, and began to look around the shop, finding all sorts of books of note.

Daenerys left them to search, while she walked over to Wanda, wishing to know more about the unknown woman.

"You're a witch, correct?"

"Hmm, I suppose so. But I'm a bit more than that, a...Higher ranking of sorts if you will" Wanda replied with a small hum.

"And what would I need to pay you in order to gain your...aid in the future?" Daenerys asked, as Wanda blinked several times, genuinely surprised at the question.

"You wish to...hire me?" Wanda asked with a raised eyebrow, inwardly contemplating the idea. The Game of Thrones universe was laughably weak to her, but it did have several interesting places she'd love to visit, such as Valyria and its ancient magics, Asshai, and various other places.

There was also a lot of knowledge in that place that could be interesting to read up on, and sell in her shop. Such as blood magics, alchemy, and various other arts unique to that world. Valyrian steel was another thing she was interested in gaining, as she wondered how it would compare to something like Vibranium or Adamantium.

"Yes. I have dragons, I have armies, and I have gold. But...I lack someone like you, someone with such a...unique ability. And with your knowledge on dragons...perhaps I'd be able to raise them better than I am now" Daenerys responded, as Wanda contemplated the idea of aiding Daenerys.

'The ending to the show was...awful. And I hated how things ended with Daenerys going mad because of Missandei's death and all the other events that rapidly occurred. Even if there were signs, it was still rushed to hell. Perhaps it would also give me a massive new source of customers, new knowledge, and even a vacation world' Wanda thought, as she was interested in traveling to other worlds, with pretty much every customer from another universe so far, being from a universe she was interested in going to.

Looking at Daenerys, Wanda slowly replied "I shall think about it. Buy some of my books and we'll see, and I'd far prefer knowledge and books to something like gold and coin"

Daenerys showed a small smirk at the response, as if it was confirmation that Wanda would work with her, not that it was. But Wanda could see why Daenerys would think that, as all Daenerys would need to do now is to pay her with a shit ton of unique books and Wanda would likely be more inclined to follow her.

Whether or not she was, Wanda would decide over the coming days, as it would be a big deal to make. Although it was admittedly appealing.

"I hope you make the correct decision, Lady Maximoff" Daenerys said, before walking back to the shelves to find the books she wished to buy, leaving Wanda alone at the desk once again.

Sitting there, Wanda watched them with a hum, one thought on her mind.

'...Daenerys Targaryen...how...interesting'

That's the end of the chapter!

Next chapter will be the rest of the interaction with Daenerys, and likely Wanda's adventure out into the DC world for a bit, before going to Planetos for a while.

Should Daenerys be her third and final love interest? I've had a few people requesting it, and I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts!

Anyways, have a good day!
