The second day drew to a close for Blanc and the rest, as for the next few hours after Blanc's harvest, nothing else came their way.
Admitting defeat, they returned to the burrow as the sun began setting and prepared for a rabbit stew dinner.
After eating, the twins bid their good nights to the rest, going to sleep shortly after, which left the married couple to themselves.
And after yet another night of baby-making, where Celine and Miyanna found out what those harvested rabbits they so readily offered him really gave Blanc.
Since it got harder and harder for them to compete with his stamina, they gave up, and all three of them went to sleep, overwhelmed, but extremely satisfied.
The third day came soon after.
With something happening unbeknownst to Blanc.
"What's wrong, sister?" asked Celine when Miyanna entered the tent after going outside to use the toilet.
Miyanna was lost in thought, her face caught between a smile and a frown.
"My period seems not to have come yet," Miyanna replied, quiet enough for Blanc to be unable to hear her words.
"Oh my, should today have been the first day?" Celine asked, grinning.
"First or second, at most. But we went at it for weeks," Miyanna thought, unsure of what to make of it, "Should I be happy or not?"
"It's too early perhaps to draw a conclusion," Celine shook her head, "It will take a week or two until the first signs appear, if it's a pregnancy."
"What are the first signs I should look for?" Miyanna asked, her knowledge on such matters limited to what she had heard here and there during her life as a thief.
"An increase in your need to go to the toilet," Celine began listing down examples, "A swollen or tender chest, sickness, things you used to like smelling now smell weird, mood swings, and fatigue, to name a few of the more common ones."
"Okay," Miyanna nodded, a subtle smile on her beautiful face, "I'll pay attention to these and let you know."
Celine got to her feet and grabbed her cheeks with her freshly bandaged hands, "I hope it is what you wish for, Miyanna."
"So am I," Miyanna replied, placing a hand on Celine's hands.
"And who knows, maybe you really have been for more than a few days now but haven't seen any signs yet," Celine added.
"We'll see, but thanks, Celine, I needed this," Miyanna replied before going in to kiss her.
"Come now," said Celine, after their lips parted, "Let's eat breakfast."
After breakfast, the rest of the day followed the same rhythm as before.
The hunt went well once more, with Kael and Lune managing to each hunt a wolf of their own, finally receiving their black Mark of the Wolf.
While also managing to hunt five foxes during the whole day, which gave most a new Mark, and making Blanc's a light gray after harvesting.
It wasn't much in terms of killing overall, but it was undeniable progress that made each of them pleased.
"That's enough for the day," Blanc said, looking at the setting sun as he placed the fox he had just harvested under his armpit. "What do we want for dinner?"
"Do we still have some fruits?" Celine asked, "I'm not feeling like eating meat today."
"We are running low," Blanc replied, thinking of their supplies. "What do the rest of you feel like eating?"
"I saw that there was stew left," said Lune, "I will be eating that."
"Same," Kael nodded.
"You, my love?" Blanc asked, turning towards Miyanna.
"I want fruits as well," Miyanna said.
"Perfect," Blanc muttered, "Then, me, Kael, and Lune will be eating the rest of the stew, and you two can have the fruits. Do you want them made in a certain way or raw?"
"Fruit salad," said Celine, to which Miyanna nodded, not minding the suggestion, as long as it did not contain meat.
"So be it," replied Blanc, thinking on what way to make that fruit salad a delicacy for his wives.
But just as he was lost in thought, multiple caws could be heard in the distance, pulling Blanc back to reality.
"Crows," Blanc muttered, pulling his bow the next moment, "Prepare your bows. Miyanna, I will be taking down some for you to kill, okay?"
With a nod from all, they prepared for yet another gift from the Vita.
The murder of crows that approached was large, with a few hundred flying over their heads as they released their arrows.
It was no difficult task to imagine how easily such a large number was to hit.
With each arrow, crows began falling from the sky one after the other, and by the time the murder passed, the ground was filled with at least fifty crows dead or wounded.
The sight in front of Blanc's eyes was one to grin at.
For the crows had a special meaning for them, as the throat-slitted crow was the sigil of Blood Denegis.
A sigil Blanc, and the rest now turned into the Black Marks of the Crow on their bodies, with each of them able to harvest ten before it finally turned black.
It did not give them much in terms of power, but in terms of meaning, it meant everything.
For Blanc and the twins, it reminded them of who they were.
And for Celine and Miyanna, it meant the Vita accepted them as part of Blanc's family. A part of the Noble Blood Denegis.
There was no greater gift for the five to end this day with.
So it was to be expected that the spirits were high during dinner.
"Good night, everyone," said the twins as they turned on their heels and went towards their tent to sleep for the night.
"Good night," replied Blanc and his wives in unison as they watched them leave.
Once they left, Blanc got up to his feet.
"Give me a moment," he said to the two as he entered the tent, only to bring two fox pelts in each of his hands.
"My love?" Celine asked as she looked at the pelts in his hands.
"This one is for you," Blanc said, placing one of the fox pelts in Miyanna's lap, before turning towards Celine, "And this one, that I managed to skin earlier, is yours."
Both their eyes were wide with surprise.
"A gift?" Miyanna asked.
To which Blanc nodded, a warm smile on his face, "A gift. Though Celine's pelt still needs to be dried and cured, I wanted to give them both at the same time."
Celine and Miyanna looked at each other, red fox pelts still in hand.
Since it was to be expected that the spirits were high during dinner, it was also expected that the spirits were even higher in the married couple's bed after a day full of gifts.
