After the interval, the protagonist returned to his class and settled in his bench. It was science period. The teacher entered, her voice cheerful as she greeted the students. The first lesson was light—just an introduction to the branches of science and their basics.
Everything seemed normal, until it happened.
A voice.
A voice he knew.
It floated through the air like a familiar melody, weaving through the murmurs of the class, breaking through his thoughts. It was soft, yet distinct. Sweet, yet strong. The kind of voice that had once made the world around him disappear.
His heart thudded.
The air around him suddenly felt different. A strange stillness, like the world was holding its breath. A faint breeze drifted in from the window, stirring the curtains, carrying the faint scent of the school garden—fresh earth, blooming flowers, and something unexplainable.
Slowly, almost unwillingly, he turned towards the voice.

There she was.
The girl sat at a desk, her blue gown now replaced by the school uniform, but everything else was the same. The same shimmering earrings catching the light. The same delicate features, as if carved by the wind itself. The same aura that had once stolen his attention without permission.
For a moment, he forgot how to breathe. But then, something shifted.
This time, he didn't feel admiration. He didn't feel that strange pull he had felt before. She was speaking too much to the teacher and asked too many questions which irritated him.
He had fallen for her voice, for that one fleeting glimpse of her. But now, as he watched her, he didn't like her.
