Seeing how the rest of the kids hesitated at her words, the teacher knew that they had been taught a valuable lesson.
"It's late now, you can return to your classes now. As for the two culprits here, I'll bring them to the infirmary." The teacher clapped again, revealing a satisfied smile.
With the rest of the kids shuffling out of the canteen doors, the female teacher brought Ivan and the chubby kid to the infirmary to get a check up.
5 mins later…
Once they stepped into the infirmary, the dazed young boy finally regained his senses and awoke from his stupor.
"Huh? Miss Tan, how come you're here? Wasn't I drinking ABC soup in the canteen just now?"
"Oh, Ivan, are you awake now?"
"Huh? Yeah, I am awake. Oh, did I sleep-eat again?"
Miss Tan nodded her head.
Ivan saw Miss Tan's expression and face palmed out of embarrassment. This was happening a lot lately but the young boy had no idea how to stop it.
"Did I get into trouble while I was sleep-eating?"
Miss Tan nodded again.
Ivan squinted his eyes and became speechless. He then turned to look at the chubby kid next to him.
'I wonder why this fatty wanted to find trouble with me…Hmm, not like he can anyways.' Ivan sighed at the thought of this.
Without wasting another second, the young boy stood up and did a few stretches.
He then performed a small bow towards the teacher and left the infirmary.
"I better get to class now, Miss Tan. Bye!"
"Alright, enjoy your class." Miss Tan smiled as she waved back.
Once Miss Tan could no longer feel Ivan's presence, her cheerful expression turned solemn immediately.
She then took out a glass orb from her pockets and muttered a spell under her breath. A moment later, the school nurse as well as the chubby kid disappeared from Miss Tan's view.
Yes, the teacher had casted a space isolation spell to block out any potential eavesdropping.
Taking a deep breath, Miss Tan raised the glass orb to her face height. With a snap of her fingers, the glass orb's transparent surface started to blur before a faceless person appeared on it.
"State your rank, name and agenda for calling the Council." [faceless person]
"This is 3 Striped Agent Tan Shi Hua reporting in."
"3 Striped Agent Tan Shi Hua, what is your reason for calling me during school hours?" [faceless person]
"This is about the young child's condition, Sir. May I proceed?"
"You may." [faceless person]
"..."
A stick of incense time later…
Miss Tan put away the glass orb and dispelled the space isolation spell she had casted earlier.
The chubby kid had long left the infirmary, while the school nurse was nowhere to be found.
Miss Tan adjusted her blouse and left the infirmary too.
1 year later…

Reading the piece of paper in his hands, Ivan couldn't help but reveal a dejected expression.
Cracking noises resounded in his ears as he could feel his heart breaking with every look.
Since he was in his final year of elementary school, these results were extremely important to him.
Whether he could get into a good middle school depended on his grades. But since he had zero mana, even if he had awakened a super rare element like Creation, it was no use.
Ivan was currently living through the golden age of Scientific Magic Usage. With wizards and warlords being the end goal of many, having mana became important.
Without mana, one wouldn't be able to learn any sort of mana circulation technique.
Without mana, one wouldn't be able to cast the most simple fireball spell, setting their friend's hair on fire.
Heck, without mana, one wouldn't be able to use the marvelous contraptions created to ease the learning curve of magic. Because even that requires the mana capacity score of 1.
Thinking so, Ivan's vision started to blur as tears started to form at the corner of his reddened eyes.
"Ivan, your journey has just begun. There's no need to feel sad about such a small setback as having no mana…"
Just then, a smooth and deep voice appeared behind him.
Ivan turned around and came face to face with an old man with broad shoulders and a white goatee.
The old man was Basic Elementary School's Headmaster Naur.
The young boy paused for a moment before he dove into Headmaster Naur's arms and started bawling loudly.
Headmaster Naur saw this and just let the child cry his heart out. It was indeed hard to not cry when looking at such results.
The old man understood that well.
Since the young child was admitted into his school 3 years ago, the Headmaster Naur kept being surprised by the boy's persistence and determination to learn magic.
Ivan had no magical talent, yet was able to surpass everyone's expectations and awakened an element. It was the super rare Creation element to boot.
The one and only element that didn't require mana to activate.
But alas, Ivan still considered mana important.
