Chapter 7 - Chapter002 The Capitalist_3

After a moment without any reaction from the person in front of her, Su Wan cautiously lifted her head to take another glance at him.

He was dressed in a tailored suit, exuding a stern masculinity, with deep and mysterious eyes examining her meaningfully. His hand, which had just shaken hers, now hung by his side, clear veins, as fair as jade, with long and defined fingers.

"A simple gesture." He spoke, his deep voice resonating magnetically.

Su Wan was silent for a moment, hesitating to say something when her phone rang in her pocket. Quickly, she pulled it out and saw it was Yao Ye, feeling relieved as she nodded again to the person in front of her: "…Thank you, I have some matters to attend to, I must go now…" With that, she answered the call and hurried away.

Watching the departing figure, Fu Weiheng took out a Su Yan cigarette and lit it.

He couldn't deny that his heart, calm and composed for twenty-six years, had surprisingly skipped a beat just now, and it still had not settled.

He raised his hand to look at his palm, her warmth still lingering, and this feeling seemed to make him… unable to resist.

"Sir." The car behind approached slowly, "Sorry to keep you waiting."

After the driver closed the car door, he slightly turned his head to look at Fu Weiheng and asked, "Sir, would you like to go home first?"

He restored his stern demeanor, extinguishing the cigarette butt, and pondered, "Head straight to Yan University."

The bus smoothly traveled to the university, and even after getting off, Su Wan's heart had not calmed. Looking back at the bus pulling away, she recalled the events that just transpired and couldn't help but shiver.

The phone once again rang with a cheerful melody, and she immediately heard Xu Chengyang's frantic voice upon answering: "Wanwan! Why aren't you here yet! Have you gone to the underworld?!" She remembered Yao Ye's call earlier about the classical music lecture this afternoon. Just as she was about to say she'd arrived, Xu Chengyang wailed again: "Do you know who's the speaker for the lecture?! Fu Weiheng! Fu! Wei! Heng!" Mr. Xu emphasized each word.

"Wanwan, you don't have to pay attention to her, she's gone crazy…" Yao Ye's slow voice came through, "We're in the large lecture hall. Just come directly."

The call ended, making Su Wan chuckle. You couldn't really blame Xu Chengyang for being so obsessed, after all, it was Fu Weiheng, the famous Chinese violinist in Europe, a graduate from the Berlin Music Academy, and Xu Chengyang's idol.

Arriving at the large lecture hall, Su Wan was truly surprised.

A lecture hall, which never filled its five hundred seats, was packed today, with a row of people even standing on the steps. Did the entire faculty come…? Looking at Mr. Xu, waving her arms wildly in her seat, Su Wan was truly impressed that she managed to secure a spot right in the third row.

Approaching curiously, Su Wan asked, "When exactly did you guys get here?"

Xu Chengyang turned her head at the voice: "Wanwan! You finally made it!"

Yao Ye gritted her teeth, glaring fiercely at Xu Chengyang: "We came without even having lunch!"

Xu Chengyang fawned, "Oh come on, don't worry. Once the lecture is over, I'll treat you to a seafood buffet!"

Yao Ye rolled her eyes and looked down at her phone, ignoring her.

After sitting down, Su Wan took another look around: "It's my first time seeing this many people in the large hall. Fu Weiheng really does have a huge presence..."

Xu Chengyang explained, "They're all here to see him. Even though my God has been in the music circle for so many years, he never accepts interviews or publicity, and no photos. When attending his concerts, you can't even bring phones or cameras inside. Even his CD covers don't feature his own photo."

Su Wan raised her brow and murmured, "Why does it sound like he's hiding something…"

Xu Chengyang clicked her tongue, refuting: "That's called being low-key!"

Su Wan: "Oh…"

Xu Chengyang leaned close to her ear again: "But, three years ago at his concert in Munich, Germany, I saw him."

Su Wan made a sound of acknowledgment.

"I specifically bought tickets to attend his concert back then. The scene was magnificent, it was full! My ticket was at the far corner of the third floor, so I only caught a glimpse of his handsome, upright figure from afar…" Xu Chengyang chuckled, "Later, I found a chance to sneak backstage, finally found him! But only managed to see his side for five seconds before being escorted away! Just from that side profile and that tall figure, I reckon he's definitely a super young handsome guy!"

Yao Ye sneered: "Can we stop with the exaggerations?"

Xu Chengyang glared at her, threatening: "Believe it or not, I'll smash that lousy clarinet of yours!"

"…"

After all, Yao Ye, having learned the clarinet since childhood, compared to Xu Chengyang, who also played the violin, naturally wasn't as infatuated with the aloof violinist she had never met.

The lecture was set to start at two o'clock. Su Wan checked the time, two-oh-one. The previously noisy classroom suddenly went silent, and Su Wan could guess that the arrival of God meant she instinctively looked up.

One glance, and she was shocked…

Fu Weiheng was wearing a white shirt and trousers, with two buttons unbuttoned at the collar, sleeves slightly rolled up, one hand in his pocket, walking leisurely onto the stage, looking relaxed and appealing.

When he stood on the podium, looking at everyone with an expressionless face, the classroom remained silent.

He slightly nodded, his slender fingers resting on the edge of the podium, and began to speak indifferently: "I am Fu Weiheng."

The sound was clear and pleasant, deep yet light.

Afterwards, the entire large lecture hall erupted.

"He's really just as incredibly handsome as the legend says!"

"What? Your husband? You don't know that I was his childhood friend?"

"Oh please, if you're his childhood friend, I was even betrothed to him in the crib!"

"You all don't know. I just got a marriage certificate with him yesterday."

"I'm already carrying his baby!"

"…"

The long-legged "capitalist" at the wedding banquet turned out to be Fu Weiheng…

Humans indeed cannot endure too many shocks in a single day. At this moment, Su Wan was completely petrified in her seat.

Who could have imagined that just half an hour ago, she had used God to fend off an admirer… and with great arrogance, blew off this violin master's hand!
