Nan Wan went to the kitchen to get a cup, while Pea climbed upstairs. After Nan Wan poured the milk and carried the glass upstairs, Pea ran up to her and softly said, "Mommy, Aunt seems to be crying."

The bedroom door was ajar, and the sound of a woman's restrained sobbing came through.

There was no one else in this villa, and no pets. If it weren't so quiet, no one would have heard a thing.

The light was too dim for Nan Wan to see details, and she couldn't even hear a bit of crying.
