Lux's body slid to the ground, one of his arms twisted at an unnatural angle, agony coursing through him as he struggled to regain his composure.
'This one is mutated.' The thought flashed through his mind as he attempted to rise to his feet using his remaining arm. Pain surged through him, threatening to make him lose consciousness, but he refused to surrender. He spat out mouthfuls of blood yet managed to finally stand upright.
The mutated orc slowly approached, emanating a palpable pressure. Lux chuckled at the advancing monster, his teeth stained with blood, giving him a haunting appearance.
A quick examination of his body revealed the extent of his injuries: a few of his ribs, despite being reinforced, were broken. His right arm was shattered and bent at an odd angle.
Despite the overwhelming pain, a smile broke across his face.
"My luck is really good," he mused. "To think I'd encounter a mutated orc here. But your mutation isn't complete yet."
