After a hearty meal, the group set off in the afternoon to explore around Mount Verity.
Mount Verity bore no traces of human intervention. It was all natural scenery, with rugged and bizarre rocks, towering ancient trees, fresh air, and clear spring water.
It really wasn't much of a famous attraction, but the grasslands and forests at the foot of the mountain spanned a vast area, stretching over tens of kilometers, and housed many small animals.
At one time, because the environment was too good with no natural predators, rabbits became overwhelmingly abundant, and the city had to expend considerable effort to control their numbers within a tolerable range for Mount Verity.
Harry Hunter and the group drove along the forest path, stopping to admire the scenery whenever they encountered something nice.
They walked and stopped intermittently until they reached a valley full of birds and flowers, where they decided to set up camp and prepare for a campfire dinner.
