Ben Hunter sat under a large tree, playing chess with Grandpa King. The game was intense when a petite, delicate woman gracefully walked over and knelt before Ben.
"Sir, I am here to serve you, sent by the Young Master. My name is Bella."
She lowered her head slightly, her face was beautiful, and her voice was gentle and sweet, carrying a subtle scholarly air with the grace of a noblewoman, yet she performed the old-fashioned servant's kneeling etiquette, making one feel a sense of pity for her.
Ben, having grown up in a privileged environment, was accustomed to such displays since his youth surrounded by servants and maids, and it didn't provoke much reaction.
But Grandpa King couldn't sit still, immediately wanting to help her up: "What era is it now? Such customs are outdated! Get up quickly; kneeling must hurt your knees!"
Bella didn't rise. She lifted her eyes, clear and deep like autumn waters, and looked at Ben: "Sir, would you like some tea? Bella brews good tea."
