Coming out of the bathroom, Iris Harris heard Brandan Hyde making a phone call on the balcony.
"Is it serious? ...Mm, I understand... I'll come over now. Bring a few people along, okay."
His tone sounded somewhat serious.
Silently, Iris listened and thought, Is something wrong?
By then, Brandan had already hung up the phone. He turned around and saw Iris, wrapped in a bathrobe, standing there with her hair wet. Seeing her bare feet on the ground, his heart softened. He walked over and draped a dry towel over her hair.
"Why aren't you wearing shoes?" He asked while drying her hair, pulling her to sit on the sofa.
Quietly, Iris asked, "Are you going out later?"
Brandan paused for a moment, "Mm. There's an issue with the goods at the port, I need to inspect them personally."
He said it lightly, but Iris knew that any goods in River City requiring his personal attention must be very important.
